It's a solid video and you're 100% right about the ACE being one of the best however a lot of the information is innacurate. The best suits are: Duty Heavy Armor (TB-1 Woodland Camo) Best Heavy Armor (Exo-light) in the game UNISG Exoskeleton. Is actually the best Exosuit. Has higher overall stats in every category compared to every other Exosuit. Freedom "Nosorog" Exoskeletal Armor. Freedom coming in from out of nowhere with one of the hardest hitting new Rhino suits. If you get a chance to get one, pick it up. It's very strong. Pretty much better in every category with the exception of a few armors that have 1 or 2 stats that are higher. The best SSP-99 is the basic SSP-99M Suit it has the best overall stats. The Sapphire has higher Psychic and Electrical resistances but lower Radiation, Chemical and Thermal resistances.
Oh and of course the Helmet. Best in Class goes to the new Spartan helmet. It's miles ahead of every other helmet in the game.
@@CheekiBreekiTv You are not wrong there buddy. I spent almost 3 days going thru every armor in the game, going thru all the upgrades and reading thru the ltx files to get the stats. I spent like 2x as long on the weapons lol
@@D2Icarus It's always nice to have different people's insights, especially in a game like this where there is so much to learn! I might make a correction / part 2 video to include the outfits you mentioned and add some light armors options I skipped in this video for simplicity sake. I you have another suggestions / important points to mention I'd love to hear them!
@@CheekiBreekiTv For sure man, if you ever have any questions or just wanna talk numbers I'm in the Anomaly Discord. Just pop in and @ me. I'm usually lurking around most days.
I think making comparisons gets even more difficult once you factor in the upgrades. If you're just comparing stock to stock that's fine, but many of us want to compare fully upgraded suits with each other to figure out which is "best" since that's the suits full potential. That's really difficult because you have to choose what upgrades to put in and what to leave off... and to make it even more complicated, you should factor in carry weight, weight of suits, artifact slots, etc and not just the available stat bars. On top of that upgrades for suits are all different. A duty exo has a different upgrade tree than a freedom exo for instance. The freedom Nosorog is really good it's upgrade gives +12 stamina instead of +6 like the others in it's class (one example of an upgrade differing between suits). If you're looking on fully upgrading for combat, the military Nosorog is the best. It's stat bars are very good and beat the Freedom suit in most categories BUT it suffers from carry weight (-3.8 kg). Duty's Nosorog fully upgraded is really good too. I haven't tried the UNISG nosorog, but for now Freedom is the most balanced although it has less bullet, rupture, impact, (minus 4-5% than fully upgraded military). Keep in mind usefulness of the stat bars too. Even though some suits have like 15-20% less psychic or radiation protection than others, it doesn't really matter at that point since all of the suits provide enough protection already. Thermal protection is a weak point for Nosorog so having some is way better than having radiation protection (Freedom suit is really good here compared to others).
Yeah I'm also in that same kinda boat. I'm trying to figure out how to fix that without cheating. From what I've found you can only pay to stop them from shooting on sight, but you can't get too close or they light you up.
@@codaman127 Having dynamic relations on gives you the possibility of a truce. If you kill Merc and Loners enemies you can help get it. It can even be easier if you cause wars with a common enemy between the two, with the disguise system. For example, get, repair, and upgrade a bandit or Merc suit and start killing mercs or bandits. Although, this is a slower process (than against CS) due the increasing relations of bandits and the blue boys since they both kill loners. And this also destroys a bit your reputation. When you get the truce, you can start doing missions. And if war starts again, I think they no longer specifically bshoot you in sight. Other option is avoiding wars and just play as a disguised Merc.
Got myself a Wastelander early in the game, the Cordon and still rocking it by the living legends missions at Pripyat. The four base attachments slots is just hard to neglect.
The nomad suit is pretty good for exploration. It's light, yet has a decent carry weight bonus that's about 3 times it's weight. It has 3 artifact slots so you can buff it quite a bit, and its enviromental protections are nice. And even more importantly, you can get it for "free" if you give Hip a Toz-34 Bizon, which should be cheaper than the suit itself.
@@freppie_ The price of a nomad suit and the other stuff you get with it is more than the toz, so you end up getting more than what you pay for. I put free in quotes for that reason. You will get a lot more value out of a nomad suit than the toz.
The cheapest method is to buy it from Nimble for 44K or something. And I agree, it looks good, it is Loner faction suit (if somebody wants to be true to its faction in every way), but I would not use it on northern parts of map. Nomad is close second but I don't like that it use integrated mask so it is not flexible in this regard.
According to my research the best suit is a "Monolith Nosorog" it feels like a futuristic exosuit which boosts your carryweight by a ton, without upgrades its pretty ok but once you upgrade it you have the best suit for long term battles against other stalkers and mutants this particular suit is very very rare and the upgrades are expensive as hell but its totally worth it, combined with steel & kevlar plates, pesudogiant hides & improved freon module you are iron man i tested it on max difficulty and its totally worth it, if you avoid anomalys like a true stalker nothing can beat you.
aw hell yeah, I got the monolith nosorog when I was doing Rouge's mission to find a gauss rifle, I was being hunted and killed the guy wearing the monolith nosorog with the gauss rifle, I picked it up but couldn't carry my old exosuit so i packed the exosuit into my backpack and headed out to Skadovsk at night wearing a broken nosorog, got attacked by a controller on the way but I got there and repaired it
@@CLARPUS If you have parts (use dissasembly every time you find something you don't want or need) you don't need to grind for money to upgrade it and sometimes dead stalkers have upgrades you need. I was lucky enough to find servo upgrade kit for my exoskeleton and nosorog.
personally i like the proto-exos (specifically the ecologist one) Because you can upgrade it to have the maximum outfit slots. which then means you can load up on titanium grids (and later if you can find any some Goldfish artefacts) to absolutely max your carry weight, meaning you can be the most massive kleptomaniac you can possibly be :) (at the expense of, of course, dying in one hit to almost everything lmao)
i actually was quite surprised to find out the suits with protoexoskeletons, while being relatively cheap and lightweight, offer very good protection against pretty much anything in the game. Like, a eco suit with Spartan helmet has more protection against ALL anomalies, bullets and mutants than SSP eco suits, which cost more money. Equally, Duty proexo with same helmet has same bullet / mutant protection as a Nosorog, while performing much better in anomalies (and costing 100k instead of 165k)
Thanks for these Guides, they helped me a lot! Would like to add that the Monolith Nosorog has the upgrade option of both the reduce bleeding and regain vitality, with all the others you have to choose either one. Fully upgraded its still worse with explosive resistance vs the military Nosorog, but maybe for the long haul both of these upgrades pay off especially if you dont have oasis or compass yet.
I think the bleeding stuff lowers the health you lose while bleeding, but doesn't cure the bleeding. I tried it with this armor (both upgraded of course), never saw an even small bleeding stop without bandages.
"The ACE SEVA suit from the mercenaries is the best suit" Me playing as a loner with -2300 points of relation with mercenaries: _Mmm yes, interesting_ Also, take a look at Duty's PSZ-10l Forest battlesuit (ExoLight), it has both anomaly and ballistic protection, and a base three belt attachment slots
If it can drop from enemies you can repair it for cheaper than you can buy it .in 1.5.1 it droped from a dead merc but I'm not sure if it's a different variant because mine is not very good against mutants and against bullets is meh.
@@Nikos41978 I think it only makes them docile at certain distance (like, we don't hunt you down). I think they still want to kill you if you get close enough to talk. Using faction specific armor (if changed without anyone looking), could theoretically let us bypass into trader but I've never tested it (too much fun killing grunts/monolith/bandits). Either way, I don't think you would be able to buy anything serious without raising reputation high enough. Like, Ecologists sold me the green science suit only after I was like 500 rep points and I still have yet to see the Saphire version.
@@manishbait6718 Bruh what cats ? nothing that's not a chimera or a pseudogiant deals a single bit of damage to you while wearing an upgraded Krasnay lol A bloodsucker on the hardest difficulty doesnt even damage your health by 1% until he has damaged the suit well enough to slip any little damage past it
Im wearing ecologist protoexo with ranger gasmask. I have amazing anomaly protection and because i have so much weigth i can carry multiple extra heavy artifacts with bullet protection. Im almost immune to most mutants and firearms.
I'm playing 1.5 beta 3.0 and this is my favorite setup so far (using spartan helmet). Eco ProtoExo gives you the most carry weight I think by far. You can carry an arsenal with you and on top of that it has 5 artifact slots, so you can hold a bunch of Empty and Goldfish artifacts making you a tank or carrying even more. I carry 3 Empty's and 4 Goldfish artifacts, so I can swap them out to max out protection or increase carry weight.
@Δ You need close to max reputation with the ecologists to unlock it (or have over $1 Million in the bank, which unlocks everything for every trader). You can find the ecologists traders in the bunkers in Yantar or Jupiter. Bullet protection is nothing without Empty artifacts. You need at least 2-3 Empties but it makes game play more fun.
Yeah I found the Wastelander quite an odd one too; I bought it recently, and found it quite a good allrounder, but expensive as you say. It is very weak against dogs and cats though, with pseudodogs killing me in two 'bites' with 100% armour condition. I'll have to get myself some merc armour to disguise myself to allow some merc trading...
Got mine for around 70k at the other Loner trader with 100% condition (not the one underground). Pretty decent outfit, it is fairly weak against any mutant and ofc gunfire. Added some armor attachments to help with that.
Combat stats are definitely the most important ones. Rads and anomalies you can counteract them with some consumables or by just being careful, but when you get jumped by a bloodsucker or sniped from half the map away you can't do much if you don't survive the first contact.
@@LuckeeStrikee especially if like me you always roll around with the svarog detector. It's like: "beep beep" *stop moving, pull out detector, sprint between anomalies like a walk in the park*
A bonus to the mercenerary ACE suit(or SEVA in general) is that is has 5 slots to the exoskeleton's 4. That extra slot plus the tourist backpack almost lets you carry as much as an exoskeleton. The exoskeleton is nice mid-game if you steal one from the monolith, but it is just a worse nosorog. While the exo is obviously amazing, its just pointless after you find a nosorog of any faction.
Yes, theres 12.5 kilos difference between best carry weight exo vs other, but if you get an armor which can get 3 + 2 attachment upgrades you can stack around 25kg + 47backpack, but exo can do 4 attachments so it is more a choice. I use exo but i also have nosorog and woodland armor + eco 99... Anyway, props to the team who fine tuned the game, it is interesting with the new gear. I played the Dead Air mod and it was misserable pain to get just an ordinary AK to be reliable, it was a great play with few mods but much harder than Anomaly, but i find Anomaly great with these exos and all.
Duty has a Woodland Camo Exosuit that's way better then their regular and urban camo one you showed. Having 4 slots after upgrade as well as solid stats makes it a surprisingly awesome suit! Its actually better then their exoskeletons in my opinion.
To carry stuff I find that the Ecologist proto-exo with a spartan helmet is the best to me. (all upgraded) With two titanium grids (up), two freon stuff (up) and one cooler thing (up) I can carry 167kg, with 80kg average of basic loadout (SVU and saiga, ammo, nades, repair and healing stuff), so it's 87 kg of loot to carry. Adding an overall anomaly protection which is enough to hunt artifacts in all armor grinding anomalies; a mutants and stalkers good protection (doesn't make you a tank but can actually lower damages and sustain heavy fire without being torn to pieces); and enough stamina recovery to carry extra weight without resting for too long (stamina bar is like half of the max), It's the best carrier AND protector in it's category to me. You have to spend your upgrades with a bit of reflection to balance the anomaly protection and all*, but to me it's the best. *you have to think before upgrading that you'll carry titanium grids and all these things that affect some of your protections, so balance the armor thinking about this.
@@begonefosh Make sure to get traders overhaul mod, i think you need that and go to Sidorovich, make sure your rap is high, i am not sure how high though and he should have the armor.
I have not tested this extensively, but I think the best suit might be the combination of a Duty proto exosuit and the spartan helmet. It surely has similar protection to the Nosorog suits, but the proto exosuit and helmet are lighter and also give you more carry weight... With some equipment I have 140kg of carry weight, the helmet is 5.5kg with upgrades and the proto-exosuit is around 36kg, with 107kg carryweight boost. It also has pretty good anomaly protection, save from electro anomalies, but those are really easily avoidable.
I like the Ecologist Proto Exosuit the best. It has the most carry weight: 35 kg (before upgrades, upgrades will add weight) with 115 kg carry weight. It also can be upgraded to have 5 artifact slots, unlike the other exo's which max out at 4... Some max out at 3. I use Empty and Goldfish artifacts and you can carry up to ~200 kg or become a tank... There's so much carry capacity you might as well always carry 3 Empty's and 4 GoldFish artifacts with you and swap out and configure it as needed. I think it's the best suit for carrying and with so many artifact slots you can be bulletproof if you use the Empty's.
I will be sure to give it a try, as by playing Duty I am neutral to Ecologist, hope Sakharov will offer it to me for sale someday... I would still need to find those artifacts though, even having a Veles doesn't help, I literally always find junk artifacts, don't know why, I didn't alter the mod with addons or anything... Carrying 4 enhanced Freon modules atm, I can carry 150kg and run even when encumbered so it's not too bad hahah.
This is my setup and there might be better ones as i only focus on certain factions due to RP i guess. But this setup is great and there is nothing besides electric anomalites that can kill me unless i do something bad.
I'm quite a fan of the Skat-9 (Military) proto-exo. Combined with a Spartan helmet, it gives you ballistic protection about on par with a Nosorog and average to above average protection from every anomaly while weighing only about 40 kilos. It's a fantastic general purpose setup. You could also swap out the helmet for a screen helmet if you really want to up your psy and rad protection. Only real downside is that it can only have a max of 3 attachment slots.
Where do you get one(Eco Exo)? I'm using Mono Exo + Duty Nosorog and a Woodland underarmor and the best i can do is 136 kilo total weight right now with Exo + with another attachment and 5kg weight cut upgrade it defaults to 95kg of carry weight possibility.
I upgraded a Nosorog with maxed out ballistic protection and went into the power plant with a PKM. The only threat to me were grenades and suicidal Monolits :D
Vanilla 1.5.1.2. Mercenary exoskeleton is also good, military is somewhat better in ballistics, but not so much better that it would make a difference. And it could be useful for infiltrating Merc base. Ruby is overall better than Sapphire and as someone mentioned, default green SSP-99M is sweet spot between protection from weapons, mutants and anomalies. For medium armour, PS-6 warrior suit with GP-10z ranger mask which actually resembles 3D model of this outfit is great protection early on, especially from radiation, 100%. For medium but is is in heavy armour category I like CS-3B (for nostalgia reasons and because I like Clear Sky faction) with Sphere 08 or 12 helmet, but 3D model of outfit suggest that helmet is similar to Apocalypse or Spartan helmet, it depends how light I would like to be with set-up. Monolith exoskeleton have the best psychic protection. I like futuristic look (colours) of Ecologist exoskeleton, and Renegade looks interesting. But Merc exoskeleton with digital cammo or Military with woodland cammo looks the best. Anyway, dead Mercenaries and Monolith stalkers are the cheapest method to get exosuits or exoskeletons, including upgrade kits which they usually drop. You will spend around 25K (max goodwill, scavenger progression difficulty) for Exoskeleton repair kit, or almost free if you have parts to make repair kit.
I've always thought that in most mods and even in vanilla the Mercs always have high tier equipment, rivalled only in power by Monolith and their mumbo jumbo tech. The only reason that the Mercs haven't take over the Zone is just because they haven't been paid to do so -yet- and because they still can't harness the artifact space magic (at least in vanilla lore).
i disagree, Mercs are not experts in the zone, they are foreigners doing contracts. They know nothing of the mysteries of the zone, like Strelok and the high tier loners. Loners 4 ever.
Duty "Forest battlesuit" is great. Looted it from Duty soldiers. Immunity to Psy and Radiation on easy difficulty. Three artifact slots for kevlar plates give great protection against gunfire. I didn't know you could sprint in power armor. It looks unrealistic. Have a companion carry a separate ecologists suit for Chemical anomalies. You seem to have some mod there with Acid rolled into Burn resistance.
Just a few points to add after having played this game for a few hundred hours : 1) Best Heavy Armor in the game is Duty Exo Forest Battlesuit (it is better than normal Duty Exosuit or Duty Urban Battlesuit). It has best overall Environmental protection, best thermal protection out of all Exosuits (the most dangerous anomaly in the game), ballistic protection on par with Nosorog/Exoskeleton suits from any faction and 4 artifect slots once fully upgraded. Combine it with 2 Empties, 1 Snowflake, 1 Mamabeads or better anti bleeding artifect and you are a walking tank. That's my most fav suit in the game if you are not a Goblin who wants to pick every junk item and carry it. The only downside is, you can only carry 3 weapons with it bcs adding anymore will hamper you even with Tourist Backpack 2) If you like to carry a lot of goodies and fight like crazy, Mercenary Exoskeleton is the best one with only downside being poor Thermal Protection (same issue with all Exoskeletons or Nosorg Suits). But it has every other base covered. It has 4 artifect slots as well when fully upgraded 3) If you want an all purpose suit for gun fights, Artifect hunting as well as carrying tons of euipment and you cant get your hands on Mercenary Ace Seva suit since you picked a fight with their faction, your best bet is Duty Proto Exoskeleton (more expensive Proto Exo of the 2 Duty Proto Exos) coupled with a Spartan Helmet (make sure you go for Psy protection upgrade on Helmet). This combo is better than Ecologist Proto Exo and Spartan helmet since latter has such a poor balistic protection that even 3 Empty artifects cant save you. Word of Advice : Dont bother with Goldfish artifects since they reduce your rupture protection unless you even this out with an Empty. Instead, invest in Titanium Grids but be wary of electrical anomalies. Dont throw away every armour you find, find a multitool, maintain it and disassemble every junk armour. I have 7 armours fully repaired and upgraded because I scavanged everything from fallen enemies and can even create upgrade kits now.
What do you think about the Nomad? I think they have added it only in recent updates and it seems to be a solid option early game. It costs around 60k, it is really light, it has +14 kg or something like that and it has decent protections overall.
Does the helmet protection count towards the whole body like suggested by the stats or is the head a seperate hitzone (basicly making armors with integrated helmet always better)?
Ive been watching a lot of your videos today all day and Im really getting curious of this game. Im thinking of buying it but it seems pretty complicated.
Well you have the 3 original games (Shadow of Chernobyl, Clearsky and Call of Pripyat, can be interesting to play them for the story and get familiar with the stalker universe) and then the mods that people mostly play nowadays (Anomaly being one of the biggest ones). They're all definitely worth it!
Anomaly is free, you just navigate to the mod download and get all of the files. No need to buy anything... It will work without original games. I'd only buy the originals if you want the vanilla games and to play through the original campaign (un-modded).
best armor is the is the duty nosorog... best ballistic and rupture (but the military one that is super heavy) and best fire and electrical anomalies protection (the most dangerous)
@@rdg665 yo its been 4 months and ı realised if you get a Full Empty artifact it literally makes nearly every armor in the game viable because it gives so much protection mix that with volat emerald artifact and you get a lot of anomaly and physical protection at the cost of stamina (but ı almost always play with infinite stamina anyways so it doesn't bother me)
@@angel_prodsoda3458 Unfortunately you can't if I remember right you also can't craft them (thoe check it out for yourself with debug mode to be sure) I know traders sell them with the Traders overhaul mod and they problably sell it in vanilla too but you need high in both goodwill and rank (these both affect what the traders can have) btw the rich client achievement aka ha 1.000.000 roubles in your inventory at any time bypasses all goodwill stuff so you only ave to worry about rank to get good stuff also traxers might need up to 72 hours to reatock and have the new stuff available depending on progression difficulty.
Thanks for this video. I only found it now, but found a bandit SEVA suit and stuck with it, eventually upgrading everything. If you ever do another video, maybe comparing how much buying and reparing at condition x (say 10%) is going to cost you, as it may matter if you want to get a new suit, if it is better to just scavenge it, as if you, for example don't play mercs or are at a good relationship with them, you will always need to "find" the suit. Also it would be nice to see the best all around suit and the different classes of the same suit (say SEVA suits) compared on their basis.
Man your videos are like a roof during a blowout. well, I killed everybody in dead city so rip best setup. Does anybody know where to find a battery artifact ?
@@britexitengineer1407 Weird thing is, I prefer the Empty's to the Full Empty's. The Full ones weigh so much for so little gain. Plus they just sap stamina. I think they weigh like 6 times more than the Empty's or something like that. You could carry a rifle with ammo plus an empty in it's place.
@@anonypersona3189 I feel like the regular empties are better too. Improved body coolers totally negate any negative stamina drain from regular empties.
The PSZ-9d and Skat-9 proto-exos are the best out of the box, but the PSZ can only get 4 of it's belt slots and the Skat-9 can only get a meager 3 while the others can get all 5 slots with upgrades. The Duty PSZ is probably still the best one but IMO the Clear Sky CS-2b's probably my 2nd place Proto-exos seem pretty crappy on the surface but artefacts and a Spartan helmet can really pull the slack
I feel the NBC Duty Suit will be my favorite. Because I can just upgrade the ballistic resistance, and I’ll be able to fight in radioactive parts of the map without worry. Could also be valuable in artifact hunting on the side.
ExoSEVA is top tier for me and is worn by NPC's but not available to players. One notably who wears the said suit is the Legendary Monolith in the main questline. Both good for defence and for Artefact hunting but can only be accessed if you have ExoSEVA mod installed
Got my Wastelander for 120k. Worth it? Dunno. Maybe. Started in Cordon as loner, without access to anything better at that point (pretty early in the game), Wasterlander is pretty much the best option available. It's not terribly hard to generate 120k anyway, 1 round of easy task from that 2 dude in Cordon already nett you 20k. Sleep, then rinse and repeat. With several addons that give stamina regeneration, can pretty much sprint indefinitely even when over-encumbered. This solve the biggest complaint - stamina. It does hurt a lot the further north you go, enemy got stronger, anomalies got stronger. Currently around Zaton/Jupiter and can't handle those toxic anomalies, but then again I'm lacking in upgrades, haven't been able to find the right kits / components to upgrade guns & armor.
Yeah I'm rocking a wastlander too in my loner ironman playthrough atm, you can feel the limitations and I won't keep it going up north but so far I'm loving it! With 5 attachments for stamina/carry weight and a couple upgrades it's actually very good.
got lucky and found a nosorog on a mercenary that came to randomly attack me in rookie village, cost about 144k to fix it up but now i have one of the best armours :D
Yes I'm planning two tutorials, a "all you need to know about artifacts" kinda thing, and a "best ways to make money" one, just need to find the time to record all that :)
I think best artifact attachments are: Goldfish (for carry weight. Gives +11.5 kg after subtracting it's own weight), Empty (For combat), Mama Beads (For Bleed - but not really important). You can use non-artifact upgraded attachments for the rest to boost carrying capacity while boosting stamina (since Empty takes a lot away). Full Empty artifacts are just too heavy to be worthwhile compared to Empty.
I got the 'Wastelander' off of Sidorovich for 76,000 Ru. Mind, that was after doing all his jobs and hawking loads of gear to him . . . It's a good all-round suit but it would be nice to be able to change the mask out.. SEVA's lack Ballistic protection but I can see why you like 'em.
ExoSEVA is top tier for me and is worn by NPC's but not available to players. Reason? It's good for combat and artefact hunting. It's worn by the Legendary Monolith enemy in the main quest line, it's basically an exo suit body with a SEVA helmet. There is an add-on I use to unlock it cause why not.
I fully updated liberty/duty/military nosorogs. Military nosorog is the better for explosion (100%) ballistic, impacts and rads. Very light against anomalies but who cares if all you want is the fight :]
I just got a Nosorog in early game off a dead Merc lmao. He also dropped me a lot of 30-40% guns and with only 3 to 4 hours of playtime I'm a walking tank.
So, testing Nosorog stats in 1.5.1, it seems like the Military nosorog is the best if you're being shot at a lot, Duty is the best all-rounder, Freedom and Merc have better anomaly protection than average, the UNISG gives the most effective carry weight, and Monolith just seems to be overall kinda the worst. If you forego the ability to sprint, its stats are _okay_ but nothing to write home about, Freedom can do a similar thing but generally better. I'm assuming a lot of changes happened in 1.5.1, but it still seems like people are touting the monolith nosorog and I just can't figure out why. Maybe I'm missing something.
Hm... Interesting information. I just got a Monolith Nosorog from the assault doing the Gatekeeper mission. It got me rather excited but then I realize the slightly apparent availability of it and wondered how good it actually is. For now, I just plan to work with what I have until I can make a sound judgement. So far, Duty Nosorog seems like a good choice as I kinds don't want to fix up a merc suit, and grind all of that up.
Yep, it'll take a long time to get it working. I got a Nosorog off a merc early but I couldn't use it for ages since I had to fix it (costs a ton of money), find the parts to fix it (relatively rare parts off other nosorog and exo suits), then upgrade it so you can at least run. It's a good mechanic that prevent you from just wearing it right away even though you already have it.
I killed a random monolith early on who had a terrible condition gauss rifle, paid 170k to repair it, didnt' know you get a free one from living legend questline and also can buy one for 150k
Not really, you would have to somehow befriend the mercs and then gain enough rep for the trader to sell it to you, but loners and mercs are enemies by default. Best way is to loot it and repair it if you don't play a faction friendly with mercs.
Backpack and helmet are "included" in the exo so no you can't wear an extra one. I never play military so I can't really answer your question, but I assume that yes, if you play for the military and reach a high faction rep the trader will sell exo at some point.
Rooster Booster I played a military play through and I can confirm that yes, the quartermaster from agroprom will sell exo suits, provided you have a high reputation with the military.
I am in pretty early game and I tend to do hunting as a main steady source of income. I just bought the Nomad suit because I was changing it for the starter clear sky suit that was half way torn down. My hypothesis was that I'll get some decent starter protection and have +15 kg of carry weight for all the hunting and scavenging I will do. Was this a good choice?
Don't know if the newer version outfits are similar but the lighter and expensive suits like Nomad have really crappy durability. One shot takes like 2% off your armor even if you have a good helmet. It's much better to repair a mercenary exoskeleton if you can find at least two of them.
I repaired a monolith protocol skeleton just so i could have ludicrous carry weight and now i need an additional 60k for sprint fuck that. But still going to use it. Maybe not being able to sprint will inspire me to choose my confrontations better. Anything Chimera and im dead though
Hi cheeki, i was playing in the mercenary factions, doing all there task, i mean they have endless task, but my question is that, is the mercenary Ace scientific suit is the AccMrcs Ace? Or a different version? Because the armor description slightly different, but for what I saw, they almost have the same stats. And using it, it's meh, so maybe its just me who haven't got The maximum amount of reputation, even though i'm at 2300 Reputation. Or are they the same but different Description and name? Btw the armor is also called, as mentioned first "ACE", but i dont kinw if it's the ace that you are riffering
also take into account that using best ballistic protec suits feels like cheating since nothing will be able to kill you, I prefer not to use top gear in my games for that reason, death should be a factor in a game.
So how can you get another factions gear if you are rivals?, buy a truce, loot it off a body and repair?. Is it even possible to find the good armor on an NPC or anything like that?.
You missed one very cheeki breeki thing bout nos and exoskele armor.. One faction has 1 extra arte slot on these and that extra slot is worth few % loss in stats :P Clear sky stuff is quite good.
Can someone tell me if the kevlar plates are worth getting? I like more carry weight for obvious reasons, so I've previously been using the titanium frames - but I had the idea of buying two of each, and initially mounting the kevlar (and mounting it when I know I'm going to be in a fight), and then if I need the carry weight, mount the titanium frames. I did test the kevlar, but I honestly didn't notice much increased survivability, but that could just be me
@@RenamedChannel Yeah I suppose I could but I'm too lazy right now haha, and I haven't been playing Anomaly for a few weeks. Do you happen to know how much 4 kevlar plates does against gunfire? Like what kinds of rounds will it protect you against?
@@tommeakin1732 That is harder to measure, I just quickly checked how they work against dogs and cats and the effect was very noticeable (at least when using 4 planes vs 0).
I got money for a Merc SEVA (the one in the video) and a Merc woodland camo exolight. Which do you recommend? I want radiation protection, but both have it. I also want a significant ballistic protection increment, for which the exolight seems to be better. The SEVA seems kind of weak for ballistics, how big of a difference it it, when playing? Is the ability to go in anomalies for artifacts compensate for this?
Absolutely the woodland exo light. Its got same ballistic protection as Nosorog and same wound protection as an exoskeleton... the anomaly protections on it aren't bad at all either but ironically anomalies aren't even the biggest threat in Stalker.
I don't understand why you think the best nosorog is the mercenary one, it's actually the worst one with the exception of the freedomer. The best one is the duty one, then monolithian. For combat is the military, also the one with the worst anomaly protection (being fire the most dangerous followed by electrical) and the heaviest one.
wait that not the nosorog I've found in a dead mercenary... the nane of mine is "mercenary nosorog" and yours is "mercenary nosorogexosqueletal armor"... is that one different? Are you using mods?
I have a quick question about suits and factions, that is, will I be considered disguised if I were to wear a bought merc or duty armor while being a loner? Or do I have to tear off any patches or anything?
(loner) i'm running a woodland exosuit i got from a trader at cordon, it seemed like the best armor i'd could get , lacks some enviroment protections but it makes it up with physical protections
I must admit I did not test the Ghillie. In Dead Air it's actually a viable item that makes you really hard to see, in Anomaly I don't know if the same mechanics have been implemented or it's just a cosmetic thing.
@@CheekiBreekiTv yeah I knew the dead air one should work since stealth is quite the feature. I guess that for Anomaly it will be the same green swiss cheese pile of shit as it is in Misery, Was kind of curious about the effect of the faction unknown perk that it gives though.
@GD Ghost i was using it like two days ago actually and i agree, even in full daylight, i was at the concrete bath anomaly in Jupiter, a merc was passing by and didn't even noticed me while on the actual concrete, the one weakness of the ghillie though is it's rupture stat if getting shot, you tend to lose your weapon way too much, great at picking ennemy from afar while not getting too much attention definitely
In Dead Air there's a mod that tells you the "Environmental Protection" like level of armor. Chest: Level III Arms: Level II so on and so on I want to add that to Anomaly any ideas?.
Im playing 1.5.1 and i can't seem to find the Wastelander suit even though i have 2950 goodwill with free stalkers and already did living legend, found the voyager at the trader in cordon before garbage but that's the only one i've found so far
in the settings you can bind a key to make you go into 3rd person, there are 2 options for 3rd person, i believe the second option is a freecam type thing. you'll also have to bind a key to bring yourself back to a first person pov
how are you able to look at your character from all angles in third person? In my game, I can go to third person but I can only see his back no matter how much I turn

It's a solid video and you're 100% right about the ACE being one of the best however a lot of the information is innacurate. The best suits are:
Duty Heavy Armor (TB-1 Woodland Camo) Best Heavy Armor (Exo-light) in the game
UNISG Exoskeleton.
Thanks for the corrections! This video was a nightmare to do there are so many options it's crazy :D
"The mercenary Seva suit is the best Seva suit in the game if you can get it."
Kickass, and my reputation with Mercs are... -3000, how about that.
Yeah I'm also in that same kinda boat. I'm trying to figure out how to fix that without cheating. From what I've found you can only pay to stop them from shooting on sight, but you can't get too close or they light you up.
I certainly don't know how you'd reverse negative rep like that, you might get lucky and loot the suit off of high ranking mercs I believe.
@@codaman127 I think that is probably the only solution, thankfully the supply of mercs with suits to steal is quite hefty.
It certainly helps that mercs have a habit of just being fucking everywhere on the map, gotta give them credit for putting their gear to work.
The clearsky exo also provides max4 slots after upgrades
The nomad suit is pretty good for exploration.
It's light, yet has a decent carry weight bonus that's about 3 times it's weight.
It has 3 artifact slots so you can buff it quite a bit, and its enviromental protections are nice.
And even more importantly, you can get it for "free" if you give Hip a Toz-34 Bizon, which should be cheaper than the suit itself.
then how is it for free? since u gotta buy the toz
Hip got gunned down like a dog in the street early on in my playthrough, so I had to fork over the cash for one.
According to my research the best suit is a "Monolith Nosorog" it feels like a futuristic exosuit which boosts your carryweight by a ton, without upgrades its pretty ok but once you upgrade it you have the best suit for long term battles against other stalkers and mutants this particular suit is very very rare and the upgrades are expensive as hell but its totally worth it, combined with steel & kevlar plates, pesudogiant hides & improved freon module you are iron man i tested it on max difficulty and its totally worth it, if you avoid anomalys like a true stalker nothing can beat you.
found one of these today helping guardian at the barrier. now the grind to upgrade it
Lol when i fully repaired a monolith exosuit and upgraded it, i found the nosrog lol i think ill just sell the monolith exosuit then repair the nosrog
aw hell yeah, I got the monolith nosorog when I was doing Rouge's mission to find a gauss rifle, I was being hunted and killed the guy wearing the monolith nosorog with the gauss rifle, I picked it up but couldn't carry my old exosuit so i packed the exosuit into my backpack and headed out to Skadovsk at night wearing a broken nosorog, got attacked by a controller on the way but I got there and repaired it
@@CLARPUS If you have parts (use dissasembly every time you find something you don't want or need) you don't need to grind for money to upgrade it and sometimes dead stalkers have upgrades you need. I was lucky enough to find servo upgrade kit for my exoskeleton and nosorog.
What You mean rare? You can get these for free (or for some ammo) if You know where to look and can be optained in less then 24 hours ingame time :)
I find the 'voyager' stalker suit a good one, with good protection and a hefty +70 kg carry. It costs around 60-70k, Good midgame suit imo.
Ecologist Proto Exo suit has the highest possible carry weight, and full upgraded gives you all 5 artifact slots
Am fully upgraded and....4?! I heard clear sky exo could up to 5, stupidly bought one and also...4?! Any tips?
Aah, am not proto, am actual...so trade off for the 5th slot for weight and armour right?
But it gives enough protection against bullets?
@@Palmacry95 i just bought it, half upgraded it aaaand fuck me i wasted money. You die after one shot from anything man, it sucks in balistic prot...
@@wejustsawmanfly go hunt for empties
personally i like the proto-exos (specifically the ecologist one) Because you can upgrade it to have the maximum outfit slots. which then means you can load up on titanium grids (and later if you can find any some Goldfish artefacts) to absolutely max your carry weight, meaning you can be the most massive kleptomaniac you can possibly be :) (at the expense of, of course, dying in one hit to almost everything lmao)
i actually was quite surprised to find out the suits with protoexoskeletons, while being relatively cheap and lightweight, offer very good protection against pretty much anything in the game.
"The ACE SEVA suit from the mercenaries is the best suit"
Me playing as a loner with -2300 points of relation with mercenaries:
_Mmm yes, interesting_
Also, take a look at Duty's PSZ-10l Forest battlesuit (ExoLight), it has both anomaly and ballistic protection, and a base three belt attachment slots
If it can drop from enemies you can repair it for cheaper than you can buy it .in 1.5.1 it droped from a dead merc but I'm not sure if it's a different variant because mine is not very good against mutants and against bullets is meh.
Cant you just pay someone to have you restore your relationships with mercs temporarily?
@@Nikos41978 I think it only makes them docile at certain distance (like, we don't hunt you down). I think they still want to kill you if you get close enough to talk. Using faction specific armor (if changed without anyone looking), could theoretically let us bypass into trader but I've never tested it (too much fun killing grunts/monolith/bandits). Either way, I don't think you would be able to buy anything serious without raising reputation high enough.

I just wanted to buy that suit yesterday, but its lower defense against mutant makes me upgrade my ACG-R Nomad suit instead.
I'm a fan of the nosorog suits because of the combat stats
(all upgraded)
With two titanium grids (up), two freon stuff (up) and one cooler thing (up) I can carry 167kg, with 80kg average of basic loadout (SVU and saiga, ammo, nades, repair and healing stuff), so it's 87 kg of loot to carry.
Good to see you included a choice for early on.
I've been using woodland exosuit for quite a while in this game, very reliable armor.
Where can you get that?
@@begonefosh Make sure to get traders overhaul mod, i think you need that and go to Sidorovich, make sure your rap is high, i am not sure how high though and he should have the armor.
i also used it for a long time but you get very few artefact slots with it and carry weight isn't that great
I have not tested this extensively, but I think the best suit might be the combination of a Duty proto exosuit and the spartan helmet.
Only real downside is that it can only have a max of 3 attachment slots.
try the ecologist's proto-exo. Five slots, best carry weight, smartly upgraded it kicks asses.
I have to try this 😆
Vanilla 1.5.1.2.
It is much more profitable to not control the whole zone. Also in my opinion, Mercs are the main reason Monolith haven't taken over.
i disagree, Mercs are not experts in the zone, they are foreigners doing contracts.
"on easy difficulty" ...that's so cute🦄
Just a few points to add after having played this game for a few hundred hours :
1) Best Heavy Armor in the game is Duty Exo Forest Battlesuit (it is better than normal Duty Exosuit or Duty Urban Battlesuit). The only downside is, you can only carry 3 weapons with it bcs adding anymore will hamper you even with Tourist Backpack
2) If you like to carry a lot of goodies and fight like crazy, Mercenary Exoskeleton is the best one with only downside being poor Thermal Protection (same issue with all Exoskeletons or Nosorg Suits). But it has every other base covered. It has 4 artifect slots as well when fully upgraded
3) If you want an all purpose suit for gun fights, Artifect hunting as well as carrying tons of euipment and you cant get your hands on Mercenary Ace Seva suit since you picked a fight with their faction, your best bet is Duty Proto Exoskeleton (more expensive Proto Exo of the 2 Duty Proto Exos) coupled with a Spartan Helmet (make sure you go for Psy protection upgrade on Helmet).
Fact: Homie looks like a zombified stalker without any suits.
What do you think about the Nomad? I think they have added it only in recent updates and it seems to be a solid option early game. It costs around 60k, it is really light, it has +14 kg or something like that and it has decent protections overall.

@@joeliten901 Anomaly is a free standalone game though. You don't have to buy anything.
Nosorog + 4 improved carbon steel plates = I am F*cken invincible (against bullets and stuff)
And also mutants lol
All this talk about armor and here I am Mr Magoo'ing it around the Zone in a pair of Flip-Flops, Shorts and a comfy old T-Shirt.
You really took the name of the novel (Roadside Picnic) seriously which inspired the stalker series!!😂
This was very interesting and informative. Great job!
@@britexitengineer1407 thanks man. Checked and no luck. patience for me I guess lol
Improved body coolers totally negate any negative stamina drain from regular empties.
i found it randomly on a loners body...rookie one
The PSZ-9d and Skat-9 proto-exos are the best out of the box, but the PSZ can only get 4 of it's belt slots and the Skat-9 can only get a meager 3 while the others can get all 5 slots with upgrades. The Duty PSZ is probably still the best one but IMO the Clear Sky CS-2b's probably my 2nd place
Proto-exos seem pretty crappy on the surface but artefacts and a Spartan helmet can really pull the slack
I feel the NBC Duty Suit will be my favorite.
Because I can just upgrade the ballistic resistance, and I’ll be able to fight in radioactive parts of the map without worry.
Could also be valuable in artifact hunting on the side.
You only need 55% radiation protection to ignore all radioactive spots. Just get a helmet with a built-in gas mask (military often wear those)
Theres more seva's, Monolith scientific and Watchman of freedom (i found this two in dead bodies)
The virgin Monolith Nosorog dying from Galil round to a toe
The chad Wastelander running with 2 Empties and shrugging off Gauss headshot
Isn't Mercenary woodland exosuit best all-around?
I enjoyed this video, can you make a video about attachments for artifact slots? TY
Wastelander been my main armor for a while during my last playthrough! It's great for early-mid game.
I'm debating whether to run a Wastelander suit or Nomad's stalker suit + helmet.
Does the Clear Sky faction also have any best armor?
The first time you wear exoskeleton: I NEED MORE
installs addon for outfit restriction
Me:Finally some good fucking armor
Player: Drops armors
Stalker: 1:48 Its free real estate
This is why I love mercenary’s
For exoskelly I like chad sky and ecologist because they offer decent exoskely bullet protection with 4 belt modules
hey Cheeki.
The Wastelander armor are pretty great. But I dont know why but the armor on the oustisde looking different
Is it bad that I got a Military Exoskeleton right off the bat when I spawned in the Rookie Village for the Loners?
It should be in terrible condition so I'd say no :)
@@anthonychase6906 i Made THE same stupid mistake xd
I saw the voyager Suit but no mention about it :(
what if you are a loner, are there any ways to obtain the ACE SEVA suit without looting it?
Not really, you would have to somehow befriend the mercs and then gain enough rep for the trader to sell it to you, but loners and mercs are enemies by default. Best way is to loot it and repair it if you don't play a faction friendly with mercs.
Trader Mod and Hellhound's Suit. What a dream and only 460k but worth it.
i would pick the heavy sin overcoat if there wouldnt be this ugly baklava any idea how you could change the baklava from the sin overcoat?
Is there a way to wear a backpack with exoskeletons?
Is the military exoskeleton sold in agroprom?
Backpack and helmet are "included" in the exo so no you can't wear an extra one. I never play military so I can't really answer your question, but I assume that yes, if you play for the military and reach a high faction rep the trader will sell exo at some point.
Rooster Booster I played a military play through and I can confirm that yes, the quartermaster from agroprom will sell exo suits, provided you have a high reputation with the military.
vyraj power armor makes me feel invincible
Thanks, I would've trashed this nosrog I found if it wasn't for this video
I repaired a monolith protocol skeleton just so i could have ludicrous carry weight and now i need an additional 60k for sprint fuck that. But still going to use it. Maybe not being able to sprint will inspire me to choose my confrontations better. Anything Chimera and im dead though
I like the loner nomad suit the most
Who got the best drip?
What faction has the best sense of fashon?
The video is a bit old, so it's been changed.
But it is still indeed a great suit, especially with a few ballistic upgrades.
also take into account that using best ballistic protec suits feels like cheating since nothing will be able to kill you, I prefer not to use top gear in my games for that reason, death should be a factor in a game.
So how can you get another factions gear if you are rivals?, buy a truce, loot it off a body and repair?. Is it even possible to find the good armor on an NPC or anything like that?.
Use a disguise
Fez tudo isso isso. Não entendi nada e não disse qual é a melhor de todas elas
I believe that SSP99M RUby is better for anomaly protection and overal enviromental protection stats.
You missed one very cheeki breeki thing bout nos and exoskele armor.. One faction has 1 extra arte slot on these and that extra slot is worth few % loss in stats :P Clear sky stuff is quite good.
Oh, wow. I recently killed everyone in the mercenary base just because I need to get to a stash close them. Didn't know they have the best armor. lol
great guide, thanks!
I did test the kevlar, but I honestly didn't notice much increased survivability, but that could just be me
I didn't notice any real difference with kevlar plates in terms of survability (even when wearing 4 of them) so you're not alone.
@@CheekiBreekiTv Ah that's a shame
@@tommeakin1732 You can easily test it in debug mode. I can say that 4 upgraded metal plates make you invulnerable to cats/dogs/snorks in any armor.
If you have the disguise system enabled then yes, you will need to tear the patch, if not enabled no worry :)
@@diversable. so I only need to tear off the patch? Thanks
(loner) i'm running a woodland exosuit i got from a trader at cordon, it seemed like the best armor i'd could get , lacks some enviroment protections but it makes it up with physical protections
I know that it's nowhere near perfect or good for what i could read about it, but did you run any tests on the ghillie suit ?
I must admit I did not test the Ghillie. In Dead Air it's actually a viable item that makes you really hard to see, in Anomaly I don't know if the same mechanics have been implemented or it's just a cosmetic thing.
@@CheekiBreekiTv yeah I knew the dead air one should work since stealth is quite the feature. I guess that for Anomaly it will be the same green swiss cheese pile of shit as it is in Misery,
Was kind of curious about the effect of the faction unknown perk that it gives though.
No love for voyager suit? :(
I was talking about it in the first cut of the video but it got removed. If I do a part 2 it'll be back in :)

I ended up upgrading a random Duty PZD suit, and I don’t remember why as it doesn’t appear in this video once.
Same, literally grabbed from a dead guy for free and upgrade it to the teeth, it's just perfect
A bit late but, what method you used to detach the camera to view the front of your character?
in the settings you can bind a key to make you go into 3rd person, there are 2 options for 3rd person, i believe the second option is a freecam type thing. you'll also have to bind a key to bring yourself back to a first person pov
how are you able to look at your character from all angles in third person? In my game, I can go to third person but I can only see his back no matter how much I turn
There are keybinds for third person (2) in the settings
Change my mind: Anything that is really bad or really good will decrease the amount of fun you have.
True true :)
is there a way to turn off the weird helmet hud if wearing a gas mask only reason i dont use those suits is beacuse
