Bro, but there's a reference from Michael...when Siddique sings "Maranam varumoru naal..." and shows the boy, at last, confirms it. Since both movies are different levels, we are reluctant to match both, but I have a suggestion that Marco is alone and brutal here in this movie, but he has a gang and less brutality in Michael...maybe he changed through time; there may be another story in between also he changed age. Another clue is that the house is destroyed here in this movie, Siddique is living in an entirely different home, and nobody has a family. Maybe Marco accepted the call that he received in the climax left Victor's son with George, and went on to be part of the gold cartel, knowing staying with the promises of family is impossible. Instead staying away from the family is the best for his family. George who didn't die in the brutality retired from smuggling and wanted his brothers' son to get out of all the violence, but he was born with brutality and became a villain inborn. As you said Marco is the story of villains. So Marco is the pre-sequel of Michael, another masterclass made in the wrong way. But I would say that the movie also showed a different genre, followed by Pappan.
