One of the best things about Breaking Bad is that the show gets better and better after each season. Which is an anomaly among shows. Most shows drop in quality, specially in later seasons but Breaking Bad is just a masterpiece in that aspect.
Yep, and they knew when to end the show at the right time. Too many popular shows just keep going and going when they should have ended years earlier (I'm looking at you, Walking Dead).

I am an absolute Game of Thrones worshipper but lemme tell you what you have just gotten into: This is hands down the best storytelling I've ever seen, the character arc, the story, the finishing, the direction; no music, no big drama, no fantasy, just pure work of art! This. Bryan is a huge part of BB, without him i don't think the show would be as good. I mean, Vince thought that WW was a monster and they portrayed him as that but because Bryan has SO much charisma, he swayed his way into people defending a really terrible character (Bryan made a brilliant acting, i mean that WW is literslly the villain)

As has been mentioned, the writing in this show is top notch. The creators were super clever in that EVERYTHING shown or said on screen is deliberate. There's zero filler or fluff. Pay attention to everything... I mean, I'm sure you will because you're amazing reactors. This will be a fun ride. BB is a hall of fame classic.

I grew up in New Mexico, in the city where this show was set and filmed, so Breaking Bad has always had an extra fascination to me. Even if that wasn't the case, it's a fantastic show and I look forward to watching your reactions to it.
Man, you guys gonna love this show…1 of the things that makes this show special is that it feels so grounded and realistic…which will make you scared and uncomfortable in some scenes cuz they just know how to make it real and relatable…alot of shows fail to deliver that feel to you, and this show does it the best.

Two members in my family passed away from cancer . My mothers uncle is currently suffering from blood cancer and on his death bed it’s the worst illness ever. I might have pre judged this series and wasn’t able to fully watch it because of that but I’m giving it another chance now, not only because it’s highly regarded but also because I want to share the experience and journey with Spartan and Pudgey. Ps. Please keep our family in your prayers.
Just so you get an idea of how good this show gets, without spoilers - it beat GoT at pretty much every Emmy awards. I believe that at a certain time it won 4 years in a roll, and pretty much every member of the main cast has won an Emmy for it too.

Only thing I'm going to say about Breaking Bad is, you know some shows lose the quality of their storyline as the seasons progress. we all can name a few shows started epic and finished very poorly. Well, BB is not one of them! as you start watching the final season you will understand what i mean. This is the best written tv show i've ever watched. A legit television legend.

It’s such a good story. My husband and I binged watched it during the pandemic and we’d be intrigued and watch 3 in a row sometimes. We don’t know anything about the drug world either but my husband is a Chemical Engineer so he could fill me in on some of the goings on. It’s so good and the acting is great. Enjoy! I remember when this first came out and for whatever reason I was the only one in my friend group that was watching it and I was going around trying to get other people to give it a shot. This was back when people still got DVD's from Netflix. I was getting it from Netflix just to let other people borrow it haha.

This series is perfectionism from start to finish. Nothing is worth forgetting, everything, every little thing is more or less important for the episode or the future. Perfect imagery, perfect character work, perfect story. All interspersed with metaphors. That means what is shown purely visually are metaphors for our characters. It's not just dialogues that tell the story.
Just in case patreon didn’t tell you yet: there was a writers strike in season 1 and so they cut the season short. Technically, the first two episodes of season 2 raps up the storylines they wanted to wrap up in season 1.
Talk about humble beginnings, the show is definitely what I think of when folks talk about the distance from where a story starts to where it ends. It’s such good piece on just how life can spiral in a relatively short period of time. Great choice, guys.

WOW! That was really quick, did not expect you guys to start right into Breaking Bad... I am not into anime to be honest, so my go to was GOT, House of Dragons etc., so i am pretty stoked to see Breaking Bad now! Have fun, its gonna be a ride and a series with no rush and a "good ending" which is really rare (look at GOT, Lost etc.)!
When i found out it was the next series you were going to watch i decided to start the series. I've wanted to watch it for a long time and I don't regret it at all. It's been a month since I finished and I already miss the characters...a funny and touching series omg I didn't think I'd like it so much
I love how the opening scene has so many little details that a lot of people probably figure it'll take the rest of the season or even the entire show to catch back up to it, but no, it's all in this one episode, leaving you no idea where things go from here.

Great choice for binge watching & reactions. Great reaction to the pilot as always. The pilot starts with a bang & goes right into things & the chaotic world of cooking meth. You’d think there would be a few episodes of a boring slow build up but it starts out quickly which is perplexing - you might think how far can they go story wise with this after so much already happened in Episode 1. But man oh man, you two are in for a wild ride. It’s a phenomenal show that hits on all cylinders & is up there with the best of them like The Sopranos, The Wire, etc The writing, acting, story, etc is all phenomenal. Buckle your seat belts, you’re about to go on a wild ride that is loads of fun the first time because it goes in unexpected & innovative ways. Enjoy🙂👍

I have a feeling you two will like this more than you liked GOT by the time you're done. Unlike GOT, the show remains consistently good all the way till the end, and in my opinion gets BETTER every season, a notion supported by the ratings for each season.

It made John Travolta famous, a heartthrob - his big break. I cannot recommend highly enough that you google pics of him as "Vinnie Barbarino". His hair was perfect.
You guys are in for a wild ride. This show is unbelievably good, it starts off like any other show but I can guarantee by the end you'll be balling your eyes out. It's also an interesting show because there's virtually no filler, almost every scene, character and interaction has a point and come back in the most amazing ways. Truly a masterclass in directing, screenwriting and acting.
I had never seen the show before I got a job as an extra when they were filming episode 3. There was an ad in Albuquerque, New Mexico (a u.s. state) on Craigslist creative gigs asking for beige cars for two days at $80 pay a day. To keep us from wanting to drive our cars elsewhere during two days of filming, a hundred or more owners of beige and taupe cars were hired as extras 5am to aprox 9pm. They chose maybe 3 of us to film during the scene, and the rest of us were cooped up in a huge empty building bored out of our minds all day long! We had no idea what was being filmed outside. I had heard good things about the show. Episode 3:7 favorite!!!

Throughout the making of this show, the writers did a tremendous job of researching chemistry, physics, and all manner of science to get it all right. That’s one of the things the show was so highly praised for.
What makes Breaking Bad one of the best shows in history is that it’s not longer than it needs to be but just long in enough with a poetic ending that leaves you feeling satisfied in being part of the journey. Can’t wait to rewatch it with y’all!

You guys will love this show. Every season gets more intense and crazy with new charactors and crazy drama. The mixture of serious crime , humor and emotions is to me what makes it best ever. Good news is if u like it (and u will) then u got 5 seasons of better call saul to do after !!!!

Doesn't come close to GOT imo. Only the ending of GOT was done poorly. The middle of Breaking bad was actually a bit boring. Then picked back up.

@@Hopz47 Exactly bro, that was always jamie's destiny, he and cersei always loved each other, sometimes they fought but in the end they always belonged to each other, Cersei tells Ned at the beginning of the series that she and Jamie they came into this world together, therefore they belong together, not to mention that Jamie already told bronn that he wanted to die in the arms of the woman he loved
oh my god i'm so happy to see this! Ur starting breaking bad made my day lol. Only thing I'm going to say about Breaking Bad is, you know some shows lose the quality of their storyline as the seasons progress. we all can name a few shows started epic and finished very poorly. Well, BB is not one of them! as you start watching the final season you will understand what i mean. This is the best written tv show i've ever watched. A legit television legend.

I've loved your GOT reactions but oh man how I've waited for this!! If any series can rival the best of GOT in writing, acting, and overall story telling....THIS IS THE ONE!!! Strap in and savor every episode as each one will gradually build your desire to watch the next until you just want to binge all of it. However, the writing is legendary and very clever so allowing the time to let the intricate details, emotional discoveries, interwoven relationships, and character evolutions marinate will be consistently rewarded. This will be one helluva ride!! From here on out there are "no more half measures"! Plus you've got a movie and terrific spinoff to look forward to once you've taken this ride! It’s such a good story. My husband and I binged watched it during the pandemic and we’d be intrigued and watch 3 in a row sometimes. We don’t know anything about the drug world either but my husband is a Chemical Engineer so he could fill me in on some of the goings on. It’s so good and the acting is great. Enjoy! After that show we watched Ozarks…oh my goodness…another good show. 😍

Breaking Bad was released around the time when GoT was aired. And back then it pretty much was some kind of challenge between these two shows who would win more prices.

I remember when this first came out and for whatever reason I was the only one in my friend group that was watching it and I was going around trying to get other people to give it a shot. This was back when people still got DVD's from Netflix. I was getting it from Netflix just to let other people borrow it haha.

Edit: I think you two are going to really enjoy the quality and quirks of this show. This is the kind of show that legitimately _only_ gets better as it goes on. The writing, production, performances, and drama of the show is crazy enjoyable! The director(s) have a lot of fun bringing this wild story together throughout each season, and just as much as the story itself, you'll start to appreciate and have fun with the production throughout each episode/season. The way they frame things, the color palettes, the music, characters, performances, the way they chew scenes, *all of it!* This show is freaking wild, and we really hope you two enjoy the ride!!

This series is perfectionism from start to finish. Nothing is worth forgetting, everything, every little thing is more or less important for the episode or the future. Perfect imagery, perfect character work, perfect story. All interspersed with metaphors. That means what is shown purely visually are metaphors for our characters. It's not just dialogues that tell the story.
Just in case patreon didn’t tell you yet: there was a writers strike in season 1 and so they cut the season short. Technically, the first two episodes of season 2 raps up the storylines they wanted to wrap up in season 1.
Talk about humble beginnings, the show is definitely what I think of when folks talk about the distance from where a story starts to where it ends. It’s such good piece on just how life can spiral in a relatively short period of time. Great choice, guys.

WOW! That was really quick, did not expect you guys to start right into Breaking Bad... I am not into anime to be honest, so my go to was GOT, House of Dragons etc., so i am pretty stoked to see Breaking Bad now! Have fun, its gonna be a ride and a series with no rush and a "good ending" which is really rare (look at GOT, Lost etc.)!

I love how the opening scene has so many little details that a lot of people probably figure it'll take the rest of the season or even the entire show to catch back up to it, but no, it's all in this one episode, leaving you no idea where things go from here.

Great choice for binge watching & reactions. Great reaction to the pilot as always. The pilot starts with a bang & goes right into things & the chaotic world of cooking meth. You’d think there would be a few episodes of a boring slow build up but it starts out quickly which is perplexing - you might think how far can they go story wise with this after so much already happened in Episode 1. But man oh man, you two are in for a wild ride. It’s a phenomenal show that hits on all cylinders & is up there with the best of them like The Sopranos, The Wire, etc The writing, acting, story, etc is all phenomenal. Buckle your seat belts, you’re about to go on a wild ride that is loads of fun the first time because it goes in unexpected & innovative ways. Enjoy🙂👍

I have a feeling you two will like this more than you liked GOT by the time you're done. Unlike GOT, the show remains consistently good all the way till the end, and in my opinion gets BETTER every season, a notion supported by the ratings for each season.
This is my favorite show so glad you are reacting to it. The acting and storyline is amazing.
One warning: When I binge-watched this show, I found that if I watch too many episodes too quickly I started to suffer from anxiety.

Welcome Back Kotter (1975 - 1979) was a popular tv classroom-comedy, if you didn't know. It made John Travolta famous, a heartthrob - his big break. I cannot recommend highly enough that you google pics of him as "Vinnie Barbarino". His hair was perfect.
Bryan Cranston is an extraordinary and versatile actor. He's great in everything he does. If you see he's in ANY movie or show, watch it. 👍

You guys are in for a wild ride. This show is unbelievably good, it starts off like any other show but I can guarantee by the end you'll be balling your eyes out. It's also an interesting show because there's virtually no filler, almost every scene, character and interaction has a point and come back in the most amazing ways. Truly a masterclass in directing, screenwriting and acting.
I had never seen the show before I got a job as an extra when they were filming episode 3. There was an ad in Albuquerque, New Mexico (a u.s. state) on Craigslist creative gigs asking for beige cars for two days at $80 pay a day.
To keep us from wanting to drive our cars elsewhere during two days of filming, a hundred or more owners of beige and taupe cars were hired as extras 5am to aprox 9pm. They chose maybe 3 of us to film during the scene, and the rest of us were cooped up in a huge empty building bored out of our minds all day long! We had no idea what was being filmed outside. I had heard good things about the show.

* Oh, I just want to add one thing. No spoilers though. Throughout the making of this show, the writers did a tremendous job of researching chemistry, physics, and all manner of science to get it all right. That’s one of the things the show was so highly praised for.

What makes Breaking Bad one of the best shows in history is that it’s not longer than it needs to be but just long in enough with a poetic ending that leaves you feeling satisfied in being part of the journey. Can’t wait to rewatch it with y’all!
