I'm putting 4 Rockford Fosgate T1 10s powered by the Rockford Fosgate T2,500 Amp in my Challenger Scat Pack. Just started on the box built in trunk today. Should be done Friday. Nice set up!
Another great video... I might throw 4 10s in mine and see what that sounds like but i can see yours pounds pretty hard my man!! Never to old to do 90mph+ and jamming your favorite tunes!!
Thanks for sharing your experience about your Rockford Fosgate gear on your channel! Glad the power output of the amplifier and performance of the subwoofers worked well in your Hellcat.
My pleasure! I am going to wear my glasses next time I buy subs so I get the right 4 ohm speakers. lol But they still sound good. I've been a Rockford Fosgate fan since I was in high school in the 80's and had 2 15's in my bmw 3 series. They were the best quality then, and still the best now in my opinion. 🔈🔈👍
15's are nice. Haven't had any since the late 90's. Miss 'em along w/the rest of that system. lol If you get a two channel amp to replace that one channel sub amp, you could wire those 15's for one ohm. You are also right about the sealed box being 'boomier' than the ported enclosure. You get boom with sealed and punchy with ported and the ported boxes are a little louder. Depends on the sub, too. Anyway, great vid.
glad to see you got the 15's they sound great in our cars. I know because I ended up putting 15's in mine about 4 weeks ago. down fall is I have a standard square box they came in as I bought them used. I had been looking at the Zen enclosures box you ordered but couldn't decide if I wanted to pull the trigger on them as didn't know how they would truly fit and look. They look great so thank you I am going to pull the trigger and order mine also.
@@ocmotivator i will take some pics of my current crappy box and setup and upload to Instagram. Then again after i get the new box. The space savings is amazing between a standard 15 inch box and the custom from Zen.
oh and sunroof is definitely overrated especially if you have a system. my car does have the sunroof and I'm worried the seal is going to wear out very soon. the roof jumps up and down about half an inch along the seal of the glass. Also the lowered roof liner sucks for tall people if you have to sit up to allow people in the back. I'm 6'4" and my head is constantly hitting the roof.
Bro, I had an inexpensive line output converter similar to yours and it was okay, it did the job. But, I recently upgraded my line output converter to a Wavtech Link-Q (search the Crutchfield website) and it made a WORLD of difference. If you want to take your car audio experience to the next level, I'd get one of these, and use an oscilloscope (small $40 to $50 ones on Amazon) on your speaker lines to find and eliminate any clipping (clipping will kill your subs, maybe your amp too). I did this to my 2,500 watt system in my Challenger and it sounds clean and amazing! Just a friendly piece of advice from one car audio nerd to another 😉 lol
Awesome! The Link-Q has a clipping light, so after you've connected all the wiring, I'd play a 50Hz zero db test tone (google for a free download) through your system, turn the stereo volume up most of the way, then turn up the gain on the Link-Q until you see the clipping light flicker, then back the gain off until the flicker goes away. Now it's set nearly perfect (car audio is a science, there's more math and other things you can do to find the perfect gains for your amp, and voltage match all your speaker lines to your Link-Q and amp input/output, etc. But this is a great start!) The TH-cam channel Car Audio Fabrication goes over these concepts and more in even greater detail. It's a great resource if you want to perfect your car audio game. I'm not affiliated with that channel, just a fan of car audio.
Those pins are called “PUSH-PINS”. The PEDAL BOX eliminates the Time that the computer takes to activate the Throttle Body; So that it reacts more like a cable, like in Older vehicles. It increases the electrical signal which eliminates the delay from “driving by electrical wire”. It MIGHT lower your reaction time by a Tenth or so when drag racing. I’m not sure about the last statement. But RacerX could probably tell you/Us.
Bring back memories when I had speakers in my car! I’m thinking about upgrading one of my vehicles to a charger scat pack. I love your videos keep up the great work!
Once you start installing subwoofers often you’ll get it down but the man was correct on .5 ohm or 2 ohm being his best options and wired in parallel would be at half ohm which I wouldn’t trust. Only with single voice coiled 2 ohm woofers can he get 1 ohm. Now if he had a 2 channel amp he could run series/parallel be at 2 ohms and bridge the amp down to 1 ohm so I can see where your thoughts were coming from but wrong amp for application. Hope this makes sense!
@@thewolf61691 I don't think that is correct, two 2 ohm DVC Subs are either 8 ohms (all wired in series) 2 ohms (series / parallel) or .5 ohm (everything in parallel)
Did you ever have issues with the cheaper LOC? I can't decide if my $20 kicker LOC will work, or if I need to get the more expensive LC2i or something similar. I don't have a factory amp.
I just had my rockfords installed…six speakers.. p2 750 watt 2 channel Rockford amp and 600 4 channel Rockford amp..y do I still have to turn up music and bass knob fully to hear the music..did the installer do something wrong..37 plays subwoofer and speakers together..I lost the full bass
Still waiting on my system. Lol Do you know if I can upgrade the amp on the stock Harmon Kardon 10's? Not sure what they are rated. Any info will help. Thanks
That new mic sounds great through a high end pair of headphones man! You definitely need to do a subscriber meet, I'm down in SD and would love a meetup!
Was the enclosure a option you could choose on there website or did you have to make it a custom order? There’s no option to choose a enclosure for 15s for my car so I can only assume that just don’t have that option for my car
Hey I installed 2 12" subs in my challenger and I been doing Installs for years but in my 2021 dodge-challenger after Install if I turn up my subs the car like Jerks a little like if someone bump my car from the back I don't understand why do u have any idea what it could be or does someone else ever have this problem
Sounds great through a 7.1 surround headset. I would suggest going 2 amps and that way you don’t split the wattage. Plus that wiring is triggering my OCD. Lol. I have 2 alpine type R 12’s that I may wire up and get some use out of.
@ocmotivator is the ground wire suppose to be connected to the negative terminal on the battery (can’t that cause a fire)? Shouldn’t the ground wire be connected to only metal? Also, what amp wire kit are you using? Thanks OC your the best, because of you, I ordered the kenwood subwoofer tube for my challenger.
They say to connect the negative to the car body but on the challenger the battery negative terminal wire is literally inches long connected to the body. So while I may be breaking the rule a little I see no difference and it was just easier to connect to the battery terminal since they all go to the same place and it works perfectly. And everything is fused so not worried. And for the Kenwood sub I used the 4 gauge kit with all the wires. Any brand seems fine.
@CarLove I'm running a Hi-Fonics Brutus Elite 2500 watt max amp running at 1ohm stable with one single 2400 watt 12 inch Skar Audio EVL sub, in a kerf ported box by Skar. It sounds AMAZING.
The M1200-1D amplifier is rated at 400 Watts x 1 @ 4-Ohm / 800 Watts x 1 @ 2-Ohm / 1200 Watts x 1 @ 1-Ohm. For the P2D4-12, they can be wired to 1-ohm and are rated to handle up to 400 Watts each, so with 2 you'll have 800 Watts power handling capacity. You can use the Punch P500X1bd rated at 500W, but Dynamic Power is actually rated at 787 Watts x 1 @ 1-Ohm, right at the capacity of those subwoofers.
Rockford Fosgate I definitely wanna stick with Rockford. So I should be good getting that amp with that p2d4 12in subwoofers? I’ll be running 2 12s sorry I’m still learning
1 good 15 is way more than we.need for these cars. Ive got an 18 Harmony Monolith (Skar ZVX with full dust cap)im going to try and fit but my 15 (Black Bricks audio Brickhouse)is a more powerful sub.

The Harmon Kardon really suck. Even with the radio all the way up to 37 you can still have a full conversation in the car. I wish I never paid for that and just upgraded my system aftermarket
yea u lost it weight in the trunk and its gonna shake the car apart...two 15 cvx and 5000w amp shook my 07 srt8 apart hoses clamps interior and exterior issues
Wow, ya I'm no where near that kind of power. That had to be glorious while it lasted though. lol And I can take the box out in literally less than 60 seconds and I don't run the bass too hard often. I am 50 so it's not like I'm going out cruising and bassing for a night. But I still think I've lost it. I got all caught up on the videos. lol
U can run 1/2 ohm on that amp if your gain is set right. Have 1 of the stereo shops adjust your gain to 1200 watts @1/2 ohm with zero distortion. Or u can giveaway the 15's & go with a single 18 D2 & blow up the block 🤣🤣🤣
Rockford Fosgate does not recommend running the M1200-1D amplifier lower than 1-ohm. Doing so generates more stress on the amplifier and can intermittently trigger the protection circuitry.
