Hi Melvis, it's the 'are you kidding me' look - though more to do with the wrong time of day, I think, rather than the pasta not being good to eat 😊 best wishes, Vicky
Hahahaha oh my God. This nonna is absolutely marvellous!! Excellent cooking. Soo funny with her sisters sitting there waiting to give their verdicts. I don' t know what she told her sister at the end but she made me laugh big time😁😁😁
I bought your book! I love the red stain design on the edges of all the pages. And the cute little embedded mini book inside with the grannies. It's wonderfully clear and I'm so happy that you had weights in ounces, grams, and cups to accommodate all types of cooks (I'm a gram-ouncer gal myself). Where I live meat and seafood is too expensive right now (goes cheap during summer) so I've been doing the vegi-based ones so far. Rosa's spinach and ricotta gnudi was an absolute hit at a tapas party I went to. I should have let the spinach squeeze out water some more or not have added the water. I think the spinach in my area just naturally grows quite watery 'cause I've had the same issue with non-Italian spinach recipes before too.

The best youtube channel!!! Grannies are so pretty. They are the role models how I will age! Lol, I don't care about beauty, but I love good food and joyful. Be strong, happy, fun, kind and cook good food for all kids. If I were 90, the 30-year-old man would be a kid to me either 😄
Grazie mille, Biggina. I made coniglio con pasta caserecce in my clay pot - just like yours - with your recipe. It was wonderful! Thank you, from a Scottish guy living in Spain.
Vicky, outstanding recipe & pastagrannies win best video of the week on you tube. I really like rabbit, one of my favorite meats. Here in Kentucky they are very plentiful also & we hunt them. Now i have another great rabbit recipe, God Bless you all.
She says “Her older sister comes to check to see if she’s doing things correctly.” LOL I don’t know about you but she looks pretty capable to me and doesn’t need her older sister to check on her LOL.
This is a wonderful alternative to the regular meat sauces! Saw rabbit, and was intrigued, and not disappointed. The result looked delicious! Thank you for the video, Biggina was such a dear, not sure of her sisters, tongue in cheek here, as they seemed critical and a bit picky.
Mrs. Vicky, thank you. It's "Big Ben said stop". It's the final line from a tv show from my childhood ( 1980s ) Its title was "Portobello", it joked a bit about England. When the show was about to end, the presenter approached a clock and said that line; you may find some episodes on TH-cam. 😉
Awesome. Btw, I had some meat from old rooster (it was cooked in traditional Serbian yellow soup) and I decided to use that meat for ragu. First time. I made it similar to how old ladies here made it and added some pasta that was cooked al dente. It was good :-) Stay wholesome!
This information about cooking must go over from generation to generation. Love the video and it worries me sometimes that everything is about fast food and nobody takes time to cook anymore and everything will end in the hand of the great producers of tasteless products to put in a microwave, which by the way, the microwave kills all the nutricients what ever is left. Massive produced hardly have any nutricients at all, because they are cooked for to long or otherwise.
I'm a bit disappointed. Or-A`-gano as you pronounce it, is not what she's putting in. It is rosemary. Not Rosemarie, as another very popular cook likes to say. Sorry, I was born and raised very close to that area ( Gaeta ) and we have the same thing there, but it takes its name from Ischia.
hi Kathy, thank you for picking this up. By way of explanation - I bought a jar of Biggina's oregano, and that's what it looked like from the edit! We hadn't written up the recipe as we usually do because having 17 people film us film Biggina rather distracted Pasta Grannies and messed up our usual routines 😀 I've altered the recipe in the description box. best wishes, Vicky
@@pastagrannies well, that is certainly nice of you. I very much appreciate it, and may I say I treasure these videos of Italy. I was there till my late teens and I've been back to visit my mom and twin who still lives in our family home of Gaeta.
@@pastagrannies Vicki. why was another crew filming? is there more footage of you all somewhere else? Thanks. I cant' believe people are nitpicking pronunciations and the like.. :( sorry
differenza tra tagliatelle e fettuccine.????... si tratta della larghezza! Fettuccina tra 3 ai 5 millimetri e la tagliatella tra i 4 e i 10 millimetri.
Don’t like the taste or just don’t like the idea of eating rabbit? If your objection is ethically based, then fair enough, but if it’s just cos you don’t like the idea of eating rabbit...I’ve got to say that you’re maybe missing out on a wonderful tasting meat.
Rabbit comes into the same category as horse - once you have had one as a pet, it's difficult to eat. But it's a useful source of protein for people living close to the land. 😊 best wishes, Vicky

The last few seconds between Biggina and her sister was hilarious! Of course I'm now famished....

Love this granny, she’s in such good shape. I want to be this fit at this age.
my grandma put more on my already eaten plate and after that asked: "do you want some more?". I will always remember that :)
Soooooo tipical 😅
Same in Portugal : never ever wipe your plate with bread, or they don't trust you when you say you're full, they automatically serve you again !
