Shingo did a lot of comedy stuff in Dragon Gate before coming to New Japan. He was even the last guy to hold their comedy title, the Open the Owarai Gate Championship, before its reassurance earlier this year. Shingo may fit in with guys like Goto, Ishii, and Makabe, but he's perfectly comfortable in a comedy role, too.
