  • If you know what this is because you have it or have had it, this video serves as a safe, effective self administered therapy. And if you are not familiar with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, this practice serves as a great preventative and can also help to keep you from getting the "Old Age Posture" (aka kyphosis with head forward). If you are looking for more movement for the thoracic spine, try last week's video "Thoracic Spine Mobility".

    This was brilliant! You are delightful, I found myself saying more than once, "Oh I just love her!" Thank you, my neck feels much more limber, and I will continue to practice this to soothe my tight shoulder area.

    This therapeutic practice was wonderfully soothing and a revelation. I had no idea that the chronic discomfort I experience in my neck, shoulders and arms came from nerves impingement! Thank you Megan🙏

      Yes, I was surprised as well to find out much of my hand pain was nerve related. Thanks for commenting!

    Thank you so much I have TOS and the last physical therapist I saw suggested I do PX90! 😂😂😭 I never went back, but the pain and numbness are always there or lurking near by. Your practices have helped me to heal so much and this video is amazing. I will be adding this to my weekly rotation 💜 much love, gratitude, and appreciation Megan❤️💕❤️

      Lea, your comments and enthusiasm are appreciated. As I mentioned on Patreon, what I call our “Body Mystery Stories” have something to say. We don’t need to understand them, because they talk in the language of sensation. We only need to listen. Peace and Light, Megan

    Beautiful background scenery and superb practice! The difference between left and right shoulder was immense for me and I went extra slow on the side that was extremly restricted. I will definetly do this practice again, thank you!

    THANK YOU! I have been suffering TOS for months, and finally found a provider who acknowledges it.. I am in postural restoration physical therapy and that helps some, but I am finding the nerve flossing helps more than any other treatment I've tried... so thank you for taking the time to acknowledge and make this video. In my experience it's been hard to find anyone who truly understands it! (outside of support groups and such ;) ) much love

      Hi Sadie, I am happy to provide the video and to know it supports you healing from TOS. I struggle with it myself and it was never diagnosed correctly; thus the video. And I think nerve flossing is so cool 😎!!!

    Thank you for this! I don't know if I have TOS specifically, but I have enough nerve impingement in my arms that I suspect so. It felt terrific! Definitely will be working this into my regular rotation!

    So actually I just went to the ER for a blue vein that blew up not like exploded but came to the surface with pain. I drank water and then exercise it went away but then there was tingling in my arm and weaknesses:heaviness they didn’t find clots because they did a venous and arterial US but they diagnosed me with thoracic outlet syndrome and I’m on a baby aspirin. I do do weight lifting and exercising, also have two young children…. But I’ve notice lately pinched nerves in my brachial plexus when I do back exercises near my scapula and extreme tightness in one side of my neck. I have bad posture too… I think I have the nTOS because there’s no clots and I have pain in my nerves occasionally but I’m super tight

    In the seated position, do all 3 arm positions work with the median nerve or do the internal and external arm rotation positions target the radial and/or ulnar nerves?

    • @MeganMacCarthy
      @MeganMacCarthy  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Karen, I would have to go back to notes but I know TOS can be an issue with any of the peripheral nerves including radial, medial and ulnar, as well as the phrenic nerve in the brachial plexus. This video is designed to work with the whole brachial plexus and all motor and sensory functions of the arm and hand related to it.

      Hi Gigi, I would try the one Telstar the week before this which is for thoracic spine: th-cam.com/video/qAvWLeEI3Gs/w-d-xo.html
      Tree his would be a good one too: th-cam.com/video/IlqhSXXwWe4/w-d-xo.html

    This helped me so much the first time I followed your well-done video. I knew where my pain was and that my “jumpy” left shoulder was getting worse as was the tingling in my right arm. I am pretty hyper mobile and never really know what isn’t working properly/ I am 76 and my question is how often is too often to do this sequence? Thank you.

    • @MeganMacCarthy
      @MeganMacCarthy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Charlotte, thanks for the kind comment and question. I just had the same question on another video! How often to me is about making sure you are absorbing, benefiting from and most importantly, enjoying the practice. With being hyper mobile, give yourself permission to under-do the moments and focus more on small sensations. Peace, Megan

    As a long time TOS sufferer I've just tried your practice and I could almost cry. I told my husband I think I wanted to marry you. Which other of your sessions would you recommend (yo add to my normal yoga?) and how often is it ok to do this specific TOS session? ❤
