So for anyone wondering, as of me typing this comment I will be shelving the series for a while. These videos simply don't preform well enough to be worth the effort I put into them. Thanks to those of you who did enjoy it.
A massive shame, but I do understand. It can feel very disheartening for something you put so much effort into not to receive the attention it deserves. I really hope you find the motivation to continue someday!
How will the predators evolve next? I want to see a minaturized bearded T. Rex to prey on Homaloscutus. I would also like to see pack hunters in the future and an episode covering marine life.
Random thought, but what if Cow Beetles actually had Larvae? What if their Larvae acted like giant worms/moles that dig through the earth in search of prey, slowly but surely growing larger and larger until they molt and emerge as a fully grown Cow Beetle. Their larva would have an extremely high mortality rate, so the Cow Beetles would devote all of the nutrients gained from eating grass into the production of eggs, so that some Larvae manage to make it to adulthood.
If they're based on rhinoceros beatles or hercules beatles, they probably do have a larval form. The larval form is usually also larger than the adults, as during metamorphosis, that excese size is converted into the chitin armour. Given the size of the Beatles, they could eventually end up ambush predators like trapdoor spiders. Theoretically, you could have another species arise from that, where, like with what happened for axolotl's vs Salamanders, they just don't progress past their larval form, or their time spent in their larval form is greatly extended, only progressing to their adult stage for breeding, thus having a life cycle closer to that of Mayflies.
@@MadlyMesozoic that's a great idea! I really hope this series keeps going! It's really enjoyable to watch, and I'd dying to see how crazy beardy evolution gets!
@@kiritotheabridgedgod4178 How do you think the evolution of life cycles (those seen in beetles and other insects) influences their ecological roles and interactions within their environments?
You did an outstanding job with this episode. I'm sorry that most videos on this amazing seed world series have underperformed. Hopefully that all changes real soon. 👍🏼
Just work on this series when you feel like it or when inspiration strikes, there is no rush! You make ample content and I'm sure fans of Orbis Pogona will be also as hyped for your other series as well. As for the video itself, now that we got some herbivores putting up a serious defense, it's time for the carnivores to catch up and I can't wait to see the descendants of Mordolaceris step up to the challenge.
I do hope that this continues, it's what brought to your channel and subscribed. Not saying that I don't like the rest but I'm mostly here to watch as the beardies evolve
First, good for you for taking care of yourself. Second, this series is so under-rated then, because I can't tell which I prefer, this or assessing survival. Third, keep us the good work
Also, I would love to see a "Mosasaur in the Modern Era" video, if you're looking for suggestions for the other series. I would love to see one focused on a reptile being time-shifted this time.
I just stumbled across this channel about a week ago and I’ve been bingeing like a madman. This series on the beardie planet is incredible, and I love the idea of these being like a quarterly special episode. Every episode in this series made me happy. Good work my dude!
This is a very unique series, I really like your art style and the way you explain your creatures! Ever since I came across your channel you've helped me a lot in the development of my weird spec evo project! Great video as usual!!
Got more ideas here 4. Can the Indoraptor (JW) survive in the Jurassic Period? 3. Can the Deathclaw (Fallout) survive in S.T.A.L.K.E.R? 2. Can the Xenomorphs (Alien) survive in Halo? 1. Can Deviljho (Monster Hunter) survive in How to train your Dragon?
Loved the video man. i would love to see more of this serie since i think i like this one more then your assessing survival series. (don't worry that serie is also really good)
truly wonderful! congratulations Madly Mesozoic was on video very beautiful and above all fascinating, all the species are very beautiful but above all truly UNIQUE now I say goodbye to you I can't wait to see the next video💪
It would be pretty interesting (for the future) If the next epoch starts when freshwater oceans turn into saltwater oceans due to erosion, and a mass extinction happens.
hey I'm the guy from the velonasaurus from ark extinction in the mesozoic and the of the massif from star wars in the mesozoic this idea are still not used You are of the best youtbubers i've had the pleasure to watch the videos from but there's a big problem where's the 1 milion subscribe that you deserve ?
Love this series, and it's definitely my favourite spec evo series. It introduced me to the world of spec evo yt channels, and absolutely is the most interesting series I've seen so far.
Idea: Could hippos survive the cretaceous(early cretaceous to be more exact, but not necessary)? Could be interesting, and i believe they could do pretty good job surviving, but will face some challanges too.
The quality of your videos has really increased these last few months. The visuals especially are outstanding for (what I presume to be) a one man team. Seriously good work 🫶
That’s understandable that assessing survival takes priority, as long as you don’t completely give up on this super cool world you’ve created I’m happy!
No worries! I love each video and they definitely make inspiration. Your Orbis Pogona project is large scale and it’s okay to be burnt out! I look forward to the next upload!
I was kinda hoping that those tree pouncing guys from last episode could evolve to lunge real hard at stuff, maybe even gaining more weight and slamming onto small prey with lots of chonk, and dragging them back up with them to the tree to consume, but over all, I really like where this is going! Can’t wait to see how long it’s gonna take to evolve powered flight, cause I KNOW it’ll happen eventually :)
Very unfortunate this series isn't justifiable in doing anymore, as I enjoyed it quite a bit. Understandably as a full-time TH-camr, you need to manage and optimize your views, but hopefully this series could return as an occasional update at the very least. Still an awesome video, love your channel!
I really like how the Arboredus chelonepes is re-evolving into a sauropod like build I can see many of earths reptiles turning back into dinosaur like animals but keep it up man I hope you make more of these videos about spec evo
Please never quit this series 🙏 alldow maybe not as popular, it's definitely the most unique and a favorite of many of us! Would love to see a few hundred million year evolutionary journey of orbis Pomona! Maybe even beyond a few billion
Thank you for returning with this series 🙏🏾🙏🏾. I love this series and adore the seed worlds that have come up in the last year or so. I watched Serina and fell in love with this concept of a seed world and then I wondered upon Pogona and Cappa. Cappa hasn't returned yet (which makes me extremely depressed) so Pogona has been the only seed world left so I'm stocked that it's back
Ive been thinking, perhaps the Pogona Scendarus will have a new pair divergent decendants, one evolving into something along the lines of a jaguar Or leopard, unexpectedly pouncing upon their pray from above. The other evolving the ability to glide (perhaps setting up the future evolution of flying vertibrates)
Love what you did with the evolution armoured bearded dragon reminds me of a few armour animals from past and present good job keep after work and take your time. Don’t feel the need to rush.
You should add a new animal to this series. A flying type or a digging or a stealth type animal. Whether that means a snake, a dragonfly or a mole added, it'll add more Biodiversity to the series.

Can the indoraptor survive in rain world? (I'm absolutely sure he wouldn't thrive.)

I am in love with this series so much, I am so looking forward to seeing how you interpret different forms of predation further in the future

Love this series bro, I love seed projects and been following you since yours popped up and you're probably my favorite one out here on TH-cam
I think a possible route the water dragon’s could take would be they’re scutes could expand and fuse forming a turtle like shell.
It would be pretty interesting (for the future) If the next epoch starts when freshwater oceans turn into saltwater oceans due to erosion, and a mass extinction happens.
