5:18 I like the detail of a more generic looking snapping turtle occupying the same niche its ancestors did. Aside from providing a contrast to its larger relatives, it also shows that they still occupy the niche of small ambush predators even after 6 million years.

Much better format than just talking about creatures. This way they feel truly alive and we can see them live. Feels less like narration of an encyclopaedia and more like a nature documentary. Good job.
@@KappatheWorldofTurtles-tm6zb maybe in future you will do speculative evolution of Earth complex life on land will continue to exist for next 500 million years ( due to increasing solar radiation land may be too hot after that ), for 800 million years ( when CO2 concentration will become to low for C4 photosynthesis ) and complex life in oceans will continue to exist for next 1,1 billion years ( increasing solar radiation will cause oceans to boil ) or maybe complex life both on land ( it will certainly die out before complex life in water ) and on water will continue to live even for next 2 billion years ( loss of atmosphere nitrogen and decreasing of atmospheric pressure may fight increasing solar radiation and extinction of plants with C3 photosynthesis may stop CO2 loss ). Simple life may exist for next 3 - 4 billion years ( after this time Earth will be as hot as venus is now ). So it would be very cool trying to predict how evolution will go through all that time and how biosphere will look at its the most advanced state ( shortly before overheating or CO2 loss will cause irreversible degradation of the biosphere ).
