It's amazing how realistic the sound is. I have never heard any jet sound so real and it looks great too.
That jet has an amazing sound. These new high blade count 80mm and above have a true turbine sound from the ducted fan. The gear is so cool with sequencers and all. Good job E-flite! Nate, you did an amazing job flying this craft.

⚡⚡⚡lightning strikes. It's the tri fecta + 2. It looks great, flew great, Sounded great. Fecta 1- love the color. Fecta 2- landed smooth. The videoing could be considered fecta # 3. But then again Abby is Always AWESOME on that. Suggestion Abby next time you need Nate to be quiet for a bit, try giving him one of Amelia's pacifiers to keep him occupied. 🤣😂🤣😂😆😆🤭🤭😉😉😉. ⚓⚓👍💝👍🏵👍⚓⚓.
I'm an aerospace machinist here in Everett WA, and I live and work right next to paine field. This is the most accurate, best sounding electric jets I've ever heard! It sounds amazing! And looks fantastic! I need to work my way up to this... It's a great value too!

If you are going to fly several, have some order, Remember last time you said it was so chaotic. That landing gear was something, the way that the back wheels turned as they went in. It sounded so real when you did the fly bys!
I've never flown a RC plane, but this makes me want this one really bad. It is amazing that it looks and even sounds truly authentic! Very NICE! Even as just display peice.
That was an amazing flight...the take-off and landing was great. I have watched actual F-18s (well actually CF-188, Canada's version of the US F/A-18), and your versions were excellent! I am also happy to see that it has the flying tail, that is, the entire horizontal stabilizer/elevator is one moving control surface. All modern US jets that are supersonic have this, although very few RC scale versions do. The reason for this flying tail is described by Chuck Yeager in his autobiography which I read a number of years ago. Basically, going supersonic, and in supersonic flight, regular elevators on the horizontal stabilizers cannot properly control the plane. For a long time, this fact was one of the closely guarded secrets of the US military. The F-4, F-14, F-15 and F-16 all have flying tails, but all of the RC models I have seen have fixed horizontal stabilizers and conventional elevators. Your F-18 in Blue Angels livery is the first one I have seen with a proper flying tail.

Awesome flight and landing... Hey you might want to be careful separating the battery from the checker, pulling on the wires instead of the connectors may cause issues if repeated too many times. lol

This is definitely my dream rc airplane. Im not skilled enough to fly one yet, but when I get enough experience I'm buying one of these immediately. I just have to relive my memories of the blue angels at the cleveland airshow!

In some ways it kinda is. Electric turbines use somewhat similar blades and internals as gas jets do.

You guys need to try one of the E-Flite F-14’s! The F-15’s are amazing too, but the twin 80mm F-14 is a screamer.

My first 6s jet was the Freewing F-14 and I love it (see my 4k flight video), but is really heavy and nerve racking to fly.
I just ordered this one! What a beauty. The sound is incredible compared to the majority of EDFs.
What? Holy Cow! Dang, respect for you, sir. My first 6s Jet was the E-Flite F-16 Thunderbird. I’ve since purchased the Viper 70 and this (F-18 BA 80mm) I’m going to practice with the viper before flying the BA. I could probably fly the Blue Angel, I just need to work on landing with flaps, something the Thunderbird doesn’t have. The Freewing F-14 is my ultimate dream plane, I just don’t think I’m ready yet. I’m surprised that you managed to fly it as your first 6s Jet. Is it still in one piece?

I'm not knocking this aircraft in any way because it is amazing, but it does look like they took a standard F/A-18 and repainted it in Blue Angels colors with full weapon/drop tank loadout. Just a little cost cutting I think.

I think you should name the pilot after a REAL Blue angels pilot! I even went to the website to find that CMDR. BRIAN KESSERLING is the flight leader and Commanding officer for 2020 so THAT should be the name of your pilot!
ON a different note I want to request some tutorial videos for those getting into the hobby! Good topics that are hard to find such as making level turns, throttle management, and really understanding the ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS of the hobby! This for me is the most confusing aspect of all since most TH-camrs assume everyone already knows the terminology and how things work! What is the difference between IC3 AND other connecters? How to know what adaptors you need etc. PLEASE??
