True fact. This video was shot in April 1999 Britney hurt her knee in late February 1999 and the reason why she didn't dance heavy in this one cuz she had just got done with her knee surgery so they had her sitting down alot in this video. As you can see she sits alot, she is being carried around by the guy, and notice when she is going up the stairs she walks up very slow as she grips the banister. They also made the choreography very mellow for her. She was very upset and sad and you can see it in her eyes she wanted to dance more than that. Dancing is britneys life

I was freshly 14 when this video first aired, and I started begging my parents to go blonde. I ended up getting blonde highlights for the first time, because of this video. I had this VHS, too (making of those three videos). I think that in this video she looks the prettiest (of the earlier videos, if I had to choose!). She’s so gorgeous anyway, but the lighting just glows her up even more so. Just something about it. Yes, I’m a mega Brit fan and always have been!! 🤩🥰💗🌸

I was about 12 when this came out and I remember wishing I looked like her so much. I'd been obsessed since her first single and just loved everything about her.
Its hard to explain how famous she was back then because there's nobody who even compares to her level. It was like just in, rhianna, lopez, shakira all rolled into one. It was mega fame.
Sad to see how fame and glory can bring permanent damage to a once good & sweet girl.
I know what you mean. When I was young I so badly wanted to be famous for something, just to have adoration from people. But after becoming an adult & seeing the toll it takes on people & like you said, the damage it can cause, I’m perfectly ok having my family & friends and that’s it. I feel like Britney truly loved performing, but the vibe I always got was that she didn’t care that much about fame or celebrity. I also think she came from a pretty rough upbringing, abuse & alcoholism. I can’t imagine being 17 years old, and being a massive global phenomenon. It’s incomprehensible how a teenager would deal with that. Hopefully she’s able to do what makes her truly happy & can find peace

Girly Candy Britney didn’t have a perfect life. Since the debut she wore the mask of “the innocent but sexy Britney” and she was obligated to break up with her first boyfriend. The media/the first company destroyed her. The company destroyed her because she sang in a cute/baby voice, but she has a powerful and low voice and now she has some problems singing live, especially because she can’t concentrate to sing in a sexy and high voice if she dances at the same moment. The media destroyed her because you know, they can’t understand that popstars are also humans.

She said they wanted me to lose weight and dress like Britney. It was around the time she did irresistible video. You can tell they changed her whole look and persona to look like Britney and she didn't want that but sex sells. She later on said that was so bad they did that. It wasn't her at all. Which is when she did her other albums later on with country she said this is the real me. Her 2nd album was very Britney vibes. They did the same thing with Mandy Moore too they wanted her to look and sound like Britney. Mandy also hated that too

And to think a few years later she would actually have a beach house in FL that her disgusting family used while stealing and abusing her!! I’ve been a fan since 1998. Saw her in concert 4 times. It breaks my heart to look back at the late 90’s to early 2000’s and know what would happen to her and for over 13 years! Her family ruined who she was!! She was taking care of them all financially already and it wasn’t enough. She never even legally qualified for a conservatorship!! Ugh I get so mad about this :(
