A tip over engine kill is actually a good idea. If you crash and the bike's throttle gets turned while on its side and revs the engine, it could get starved for oil while on its side - not good for the engine.
I am proudly "non compliant"! I have removed the cat with a delkevic exhaust, removed the secondary air injection, deleted the O2 sensor, removed the EVAP canister and all the hoses. I am in Texas, but it seems I have a Cali model...or did! Runs so much better without all that crap! Its a 292cc, sub 30 hp bike. Why choke it out so much? Big brother is a total buzz kill!

Hmmm...I like the stock stainless steel exhaust and how quiet it is. Looks good or even better than most aftermarket to me. I've had trouble jetting for different after market exhausts in the past...I think I'll stick to stock this time.
It's amazing how exhaust / emissions don't seem to be enforced just about anywhere. On a federal level there is really no one to enforce it on the consumer end because the EPA does not have a police force to stop and check vehicles. Here in New Mexico, there once was a law in the NM state statutes that prohibited any modifications to vehicle exhaust systems. That law must have been repealed because it disappeared from the statute books sometime back in the late 90's or early 2000's.
California is a beautiful state but the people in charge there making all the rules and regulations especially for emissions related things are nuts! Imsane what they make manufacturers put on these things just to be able to sell them there

These emissions are no joke in CA. Coming to a state near you. Fight it at every step of the way. I tried to buy my son a 2022 Yamaha Grizzy 90 and the store refused to sell it to me. Had to pay almost $1000 more for a model 2021 that is exempt. To hell with CA, I refuse to get a green sticker for it because he is only 10 years old.

What is this green sticker compliant for california mean that i keep reading about? Do you need a green sticker to ride on trails in cali? If i brought my bike from out of state would i be allowed to ride there?
No new combustion engine vehicles allowed for sale in Europe in 2025. Including motorcycles.. and no tamper laws... Vehicles built after 2013 must have a GPS tracking device installed and throttle control mechanism installed... Manufacturers is not going to make a gasoline vehicle that's only allowed in a few countries.... The good news is the good old USA will be in last place in complying... We're even getting new motorcycles that's never been offered here before,,. right now ,, that's illegal in the rest of the world....
theres no tamper federal regs in beginning of every manual for years now. I point that out here. for US, no ICE's is set for 2030 or 35 I foget, and theyre trying to move it up, EU did, it was 2030 there too but they moved it up 5yrs.
doh, I got the letter today. G-Dam emissions BS!!!. its the fuel bypass tube. does not comply with EPA permeation regulations. FFS this madness has to stop. we flew by out-of-control over-regulation about 10- miles back!!

I don't think there is any possible way to not go over 4000 rpm for that long. It's damn near at idle.

That one shocked me. I idled it at night once and the head pipe glowed orange after only a few minutes. I put an o2 dongle, that helped a.little.
