- Spain won EURO 2008 13 years ago. In this video we look back at their journey to the victory. EURO 2008 was the start of Spain their worldwide dominance in football. It was the beginning of their great playing style with the likes of Iniesta, Xavi and some other world class players. Spain had to fight though to win this tournament. They even were almost knock oud but won in a penalty series.

They were a bit inexperienced then. In 2010 they had Fabregas, Mata, Carzola, Xabi, Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta, Silva. They were so loaded but they struggled to score more than a goal in the world cup games. Their attack wasn't the best

David Villa, one of the most underrated strikers of all time imo. I support Liverpool and during that time El Nino Torres was something special for us, I always dreamed of seeing Torres and Villa in the same team again at club football level.

Iker Casillas was really underrated. He was one of best players and the reason why Spain won EURO 2008 & WC 2010.
Imo Casillas is the second greatest keeper of our generation right behind Neuer (Buffon is close third).

I remember playing Pro Evo in 2007 and seeing the ridiculous quality and depth the Spanish national team had when I chose to play as them, I didn't know which players to use. That's when I used to tell my mates that Spain have to be the favourites for the next year's Euro. I wasn't surprised at all when they won it and went on to win the following World Cup and next Euro.
