This is the kind of song that sets Home Free apart from others. They are all virtuosos in their own right no doubt, but unlike other a capella groups who rely on theatrics or over the top vocal calesthenics, these guys can just sit and sing and blow people away just with that tight, beautiful sound. To me, songs like this are more entertaining than the ones with more gymnastic moments. Awesome, and the video was a one shot, no edits. Simple and mind-blowing at the same time.

I don't know if you noticed that after Austin sang his part and they started panning back to Adam and Rob, that Adam was bringing in the 5 part harmony. He looked so happy doing this song. I couldn't take my eyes off of him.

How about the 5 part harmony for a few bars right after Austin's solo part....iy's just so FREAKIN' beautiful. I love the little interplay between Rob & Adam when Rob sings "I'll lay down the beat" and Adam shakes his head & his hand at Rob like he's saying, "Uh-uh, that's MY job!" As a great fan of this wonderful group of super talented men, I have no problem watching it numerous times! I love this group, and I know you do, too! I thought I was the only one that noticed Adam smiling a couple of times showing how much he was enjoying performing this video. Thank you! You're the only reactor I've seen who noticed. We don't get to see him smile much because he's always beatboxing. This one he actually was singing along on the breakdown. Chance and his rich and calming voice; Rob with his smooth soulful voice, Tim with that wonderfully sweet voice; Austin with that Southern charm and amazing voice, and Adam with his superb beatboxing and harmonies was just on point! This is definitely in my top 8 (#1 at the moment) that I have running through my brain, along with their previous cover, "Crazy". Loved your reaction and how you see things that others don't!
I love this? The bass stopping on the line "no bass", the amazing harmonies, the new sounds from Adam who is really off on one in this video, the fact that we are watching five guys sitting around singing at each other and having a great time about it. And the fact that they're together again after so long.

All the guys in absolutely perfect form, and bringing a sort of tenderness to the song that almost brings me to tears. Nice to see the moment when Adam stops singing and starts beatboxing, correcting the line "I lay down the beat, you carry the tune" with his finger. What a beautiful lower register Austin has developed, putting the last stitches in the HF comfort blanket. It goes to show that HF's true talent as a group is as a group, rather than as a bunch of individuals throwing out extremes of register. This quiet, happy song is a masterpiece, and of course we were only too happy to hear it three times!

Honestly the sound they create is mind blowing....harmonies to die for. Each one is unique. I listened with you for all three times. Such a catchy song, and so well done. They all look healthy, and more happy to be back together. I always worry that one or two of them would go solo, thinking they no longer needed the group. I even told Tim that on his site. He replied that there was no talk from anyone about going it alone, and he didn't see it happening. They can still do their own thing, AND keep the group going.

When the first video ended, I thought - ohhh, it ended too soon. Then you played it again. Such a great song. I also think they have improved, if that's possible. We have seen them in concert twice, and Adam gets about 20 minutes to do the most fantastic solo performance. You could tell that the audience wanted to shout and applaud, but were afraid they would miss something.

A couple of things you may have missed which will make this even cooler: 1. Wlat the every beginning when Chance sings "nobody singing the harmony" Austin immediately joins the next line with harmonies 2. When Chance sings "no bass", Tim immediately drops the bass 3. The second time Rob sings "I'll lay down the beat" he gestures at Adam, who then lays down the beat 😁

This isn't on Land of the Free. A large percentage of their videos are for songs that aren't on any album. This was great. I especially loved that everyone sang their verse in the same octave, but each voice was so distinct.

This was great. I especially loved that everyone sang their verse in the same octave, but each voice was so distinct.
