Californian fisherman here, a lot of bluefin fish are caught here every year. It's definitely isn't worth 600,000. Definitely worth money, but you cant sell them without a license.
Yeah his prices were no where near or even in the galaxy as what they're really worth. I mean if fish would sell for those prices we would all go fishing once and retire.
Lmao I caught like 90 of those while trying to netfish they annoying ashell and you can't eat them so they became useless and theres no active aquarium-fish-market in our country so it's annoying
I was raised in Guam but lived on the big island for 21 years this next Christmas Day 24’ . I was raised fishing in Guam and we had experts sent from Japan to show us how to bleed and preserve tunas for nippon market. And we have two more types readily available at more yields annually being yellow fin and dog tooth all day! Realistically at night dropping squid we catch with an attraction bulb we drop two to three fathoms under our boat using squid jigs. Then dropping them as live bait anywhere from 75 to a 100 fathoms usually. A type of tuna bottom fishing coined by the Japanese in their language as “ Ika Shibi” . I have never seen a fish caught and sold in Guam that made more money for the fisherman and restaurant than an Onaga . A perfectly in tact one was sold at 60 $ a # and was sold at the restaurant for 60,000 $ as sashimi skinned dissected into perfect pieces and put back together looking like a fresh fish! They stuff the gut void and have like a special geisha that knows the art of serving it , slowly peeling the skin back. It’s on a bed of ice and that’s covered up with seaweed I believe. It’s to impress potential Buisness partners usually maybe yakuza if not but rarely . But my friends fish here for a living and I seen what they catch, hell they only need one fish a year according to you. Ain’t that the the darnedest thing!
The price of tune is so commonly misunderstood. Usually fish markets pay $25 per kilo. Very rarely is a fish ever sold and bought for more then $2,000-$5,000. As not alot of fish fall under that A-grade
Atleast I got a good laugh at his fish prices. We xan only dream..if fish did sell that much we would all go foshing once thenretire. The most expensive thing hw caught was the rod and real.
Liar! There’s no way you pulled a tuna worth $600,000. The best I’ve ever seen was $47 a pound. The biggest tuna ever caught was 1496 lbs. the total a fisherman would have gotten was $70,312. That’s a long way from $600K. Middlemen make way more, and the dealers in Japan make the big bucks but only on extremely high quality ones.
@@Peytonjames1 yeah but the fisherman never sees money like that. If you want to see what a tuna fisherman goes through and how much money they make, watch the show Wicked Tuna.
That tuna should cover the cost of all the plane tickets

I’ve only caught bass 😤
If you go to a beach and cast out some squid or shrimp you could catch some sharks or bat rays
well now you can rock it out, just need to find a band :3
Try catfishing or carp fishing. Very easy and fun too ngl.
A 2lb bass cost about 20$ for pond stocking it’s about 10$ a lb
$600,000,000 for a tuna? There’s no way

So fun to fish with you guys at the HB harbour
You too Parker! Keep at it!
On Australia, it's called a kingfish
If you don’t mind me askin how did you catch the threadfin butterfly fish?
Just a size 14 hook and a tiny piece of shrimp. Most other butterflyfish won’t eat that though- if you can find a marine worm that would work better
How do I sell aquarium fish
One you have to have a very big tank for every species your tryna sell, breed them, sell the babies online, profit

Typically need a permit or license - although it depends where you are. Then, sell them to a fish store

Come to Finland! In some lakes catching protected lake salmon may get you a fine of over 7000 euros!
just hooking it or taking it with you illegally?
In my country's local market .Bluefin tuna is only around 6/7 dollars/kg. If you find a good buyer the highest is around 13 dollars.

They arent called yellowtail, they are called kingfish, but you have a pretty good one
That butterfly fish 🐠 nah we don't catch that fish here.
the second one is the yellowtail amberjack
if you think about it, fishing is like gambling, you spend money on the equipment and there is a chance you catch a rlly good fish, or a rlly bad fish
Damn what experiences 😮🫡✌️
You should do it by the cost to catch the fish
Not a bad idea! With decent planning and friends to stay with around the world - I think people would be surprised.🤙
I used to have a thread fin butterfly fish in my tank but it died
Sorry for your loss. I'll catch you another one lol
Shimano replaces broken things for customers????
For non-customers as well apparently
Wow so many cichlids
My yellow tail kingfish was about 14kg
So ur saying i cooked a 600k $ fish instead of selling?😢😢
Catch a Slurpfish, and a Flopper
It’s actually 2 million
In Hawai’i we call that gray fish a Pelagic Hagi
