Hi Peter, by the way your reviews on all your motorcycles are incredible especially when you sit on the bike and explain your height so people can get an idea. hardly no one does it. thanks for all the very professional reviews you do...
Pete...Excellent job as usual, as everyone is rushing to get out videos on this new model; Yours is very informative in a comprehensive manner and honety exudes from it as welll. And thanks for that indepth on the F3 Limited Special Series too 👍🏾
I agree with your assessments. I wish they took the RT, increased ground clearance, slightly larger wheels and tires, and either went to a shaft drive or use the Canyon’s belt guard. Keep the touring capability of the RT, but add slight off road capability.
I just got back from West Virginia and my Ryker couldn't handle many of the hard-packed hills I went on. I think the Canyon wouldn't either. If it rained it would definitely not be able to. I wish it was a 3W drive. Great video. Thanks.
As a very happy RTS owner, I am curious how it does on the road compared to the RT. You gotta get there. I am also a bit concerned about how well this would do if the road got muddy. One wheel drive and low clearance front fenders seem to limitations.
The canyon defiantly has my interest if just for ground clearance. I live out away from most major cities and a lot of the roads i travel are a bit less than smooth. My biggest interest is about routine maintenance and how many parts are interchangeable between the F3 and the canyon and how involved are oil changes going to be.
I like it for the same reason as you. I’ll try to find the answers you’re looking for bum thinking maintenance should be identical to the Spyder. But I’ll look into things.
Think it’s great. I loved my RT-L, but sold it a few years ago. Question I can’t seem to find an answer to: it has Apple CarPlay, but are there speakers to play music?
Does all the Canyon have customer accessory connections (3 on the F3T & F3LTD) and are they located in the same position although there is no funk so could they have located that one under the front cover
I'd like to see that in person but hear what you're saying, but I never had that issue while riding the Ryker, and my assumption would be that almost no one is checking their mirrors when the handlebars are turned that much. If you have them turned that much, you'll need to be watching your cornering line to make sure you're not swinging wide into traffic or short into a curb or ditch. In those situations, I'm not looking behind me, and I would assume almost no one else is either.
@@PeterLoweOne hope you are enjoying your RYKER ....3 wheel drive on the Canyon and lower seating and an eventual EV version with 300k range and fast charging would sure get my attention . I have a Spyder and i dont like not being able to do gravel roads or off-road without messing up the belt.
My question with brp is why did they hold off on there idea for a 3 wheel drive spider??? I currently have a rally, bought the third one the dealership picked up in 2019 and still love it…. Just under 23,000 miles and that’s because of 2 major surgeries and having to wear a boot for 6 months….. but do want to upgrade cause I need storage for them road trips…. Currently have saddlebags, I believe I had the first set up…. And just not enough ….
I think a seasoned 3WMC rider on a Canyon could absolutely hand it to the average GS rider (NOTE: many GS and other big adventure bike riders are simply not very competent. I’m intensely aware that there are some amazing riders on big adventure bikes as well and I never cease to be amazed at what the most skilled riders can do with such a large, but capable machine).
I'd hope losing the frunk would mean engine servicing would be better. I lost interest in Can-Am Trikes watching people take 5 hours disassembling the thing to change spark plugs, that's insane.
So no Android Auto? What about cruise control? Do those Linq boxes now lock? I always felt it was stupid to have them not lock with a key. Practically speaking you pull up to a gas station for a bedroom break and come out and everyone knows those things don't have a lock so ????? Canadian prices between 30 and 40k - wow!!!!!!!!!!!
I view it as more of a gravel road capable touring bike. Motorcycles aren't 2 wheel drive and they can go crazy places. This isn't meant to be a Jeep, it's meant to take the concept of a Spyder further off the main roads than the typical Spyder owner would want to go.
@@PeterLoweOne I get it! But motorcycles are not weight bound like this is! My dual sport Kawi weighs 292 lbs. A spyder loses traction going onto a trailer! For the price of these it needs to take it to the next level! Make the canyon 4wd and they have a winner on their hands! Just MHO!
I think if you feel that the windows down in a Subaru is the same feeling as riding something like this, the Subaru is the vehicle for you. This offers a completely different experience than a car. Not everyone is going to like these, but I think they're great. (and I love Subaru's too)

It a game changer for the off road enthusiast. Its the GOAT for the off road excited 😊

Not me, I will buy the Can-Am Canyon because it's better than the RT.
Excellent as usual
I really hope you do a review of this. 🤙
I'll do several!

I am happy that I will buy the Canyon Redrock.

Why would maintenance be different than the Spyder?
Hopefully the drivers pegs are adjustable.
Great point. That's something I'll have to find out.

That's definitely something I'll have to look into. Great feedback. Thanks.
that thing looks pretty sweet for lite gravel roads, thats is what i love about my yamaha zuma 125 scooter
That's a fun little scooter! Reminds me of the time I owned a Honda Ruckus! Not a lot of power, but a lot of fun to go all over the place!
For real All terrain drive we need a three wheel drive!!! And for all the tear must have a foldable canopy!!!
mirrors on Handle bars means you cannot see what is behind you and you turn the handle bars? losing the purpose of having mirors?

Hi Peter
That belt doesn't look smart... the guard doesn't look good enough. They really should have put on a shaft.
I agree to a point. Adding a drive shaft would add a very significant amount to the cost.

If they want to market this as dual sport or off road...it needs all-wheel drive! Just too many limitations without!

Just buy a convertible already.
Nah. You don't understand what these are like. It's a completely different feeling than a convertible.
I don't understand this thing. Wouldn't a Subaru CrossTrek be a better choice? Put a helmet on and roll down the windows.
