Carney’s has always been a unique landmark along the Sunset Strip. I miss the Tower Records that was next door. With your love of railroading, have you traveled to the extreme Northern California town of Dunsmuir, approximately less than ten miles south of Mt Shasta? There is the Railroad Park Hotel that one can lodge and sleep in converted cabooses. There is, also, converted railroad cars that has been turned into a fine dining restaurant. Dunsmuir has a rich railroading and lumbering history, hence, why the railroad park hotel.
I've been there and have tried to make plans for a stay at the Railroad Park, but something always comes up and plans get changed. It's definitely on my list to go stay there. Thanks for the suggestion. I'd love to hear more!
I am glad it is still there. I have been there a few times but not in many years. I will have to make the 30 minute trip and do it again. Thanks Kendall.
…I worked at the Ralphs Grocery Company warehouse on San Fernando Rd W. and would often have lunch at the Glendale location, during the 80’s - 90’s thanks for the memories! 👏
Another excellent video! If you're looking for subjects for future videos in the LA area, check out Philippe The Original. Where the French Dip Sandwich was invented.

My pleasure!
I'm happy to learn of this place:)
It's a fun place.
I love going to Carney's, so yummy!
It really is!
I remember seeing this place on an episode of CHiPs back in the 70's.
I need to watch some CHiPs episodes. They tend to feature a lot of the great So Cal landmarks.
@@adventureswithkendall Indeed! I don't recall the exact episode, but Ponch and John are actually eating there!
I found it! It's "Name Your Price" from season 1. Too fun, thanks for the info!
@@adventureswithkendall Ya, it's the one when Ponch gets on the game show. Awesome.
Awesome! Great treat of a tour!
Glad you enjoyed!
Great storytelling.

That chili dog looks so good!
It was amazing!
