I'm 35 and have been a "car guy" since maybe 15 or so, so mid/early 2000s. Always fixed, worked on, and detailed cars with friends, went to car shows. To this day I daily drive a 23 year old Saab since I do my own repairs (mostly lol), it's been paid off for a decade and I love no one else has one anymore. At like 29 or so I got back into fishkeeping, a childhood hobby, and then it drifted into reptiles which is when I found GoHerping. It's really interesting to see someone I learned so much about reptiles (I actually got my first snake a year ago thanks to inspiration from GoHerping and other YT reptile lovers) now start doing car stuff. I watch mostly reptile/fish videos and car videos, so when I pull up these videos I'm like wait... I thought this guy did lizards LOL. Content's always been great, love how you incorporate knowledge with the wisdom you're gaining in videos no matter what you're doing. Thanks for years of entertainment.
I think I just binge watched like 6 months worth of your content and this is the first video where you actually sound genuinely happy. Your voice is totally different. I know nothing about cars but this is interesting to watch.
I work for an expert level wrap company and we charge a MINIMUM of $4500 to wrap a car. Your tesla would have easily been $5000. There's a lot of labor involved, as you may have learned.
i've had people coming up to me locally to ask about my wrap and if I'll do their cars. they ask about price and are either very surprised or very offended lol. but yeah, the quote I got from one of the top rated local shops was $3,400 - which at the time seemed like a lot, but I've since realized was below the average quote
@GoHerping the reactions we get from customers is wild. We have people who will have a ton of services done, leave their car for a week and casually pay 10k for all of it without question. Then there's people that are mad that we don't price match with the crappy shops in town, or will come back with "it's JUST vinyl" or "it's JUST window tint". People are nuts.
I have found in various different adventures, working on your own passion project (for example wrapping your vehicle) is vastly different than working for aomeone else on their project (wrapping their vehicle). Something I thought was enjoyable was soemthing I quickly realized i didnt like doing for other people.
I get how you feel, Im currently starting my own Car Liquid Wrapping business myself, I feel that same passion for it that I think you do for Vinyl Wrapping. I Look forward to any path you might take in doing it, you did a whole lot better than I did on my first job lmao.
Okay. The video was you insulating your garage. Anybody could have done this and it would have been BORING yet here I am entertained like a 10 year old. The SpongeBob memes/references as well as your age make this all feel so relatable despite the fact I don't do yard work anymore. Seriously, I'm glad I came across your channel. Interesting content as always!
plan on attempting to wrap my mini cooper eventually. can't wait to see the wrapping vids! I plan on using a gloss kpmf so I'm curious to see how hard/easy it is to work with
Your wrap color choices are bold. I like them but I’m boring. Was thinking of wrapping my Tesla matte black. I like the Tesla letters across the back too. I can’t wait to see how you do this in the next vid.
ohh i should start linking everything i use in the description. i can't find the exact one anymore, but very similar to this on a Ryobi electric washer: amzn.to/4brFhhI

Robots will take these jobs if you want to charge 4500 bucks for a wrap.
@rihasanatrofolo2472 no they won't. You would know that if you'd ever done one yourself.
I have worked in a sign shop and did ONE full wrap. I ain’t built for it, that’s for sure.

hammering at night pro tip: hit it as hard as you can. a few loud noises is way better than a bunch of slightly loud noises

I forgot I was a member and was like why do I feel like I've seen the vid already lmao. It still bangs
Alex getting a normal knife instead of a katana made me weirdly emotional

FYI, my husband found out that duct tape does not stick below a certain temperature like 32°. It’s absolutely worthless below 32°.

I love how he went from a full blown reptile channel and now it’s a full blown car channel
From one extreme to another. I dislike extremities but this is the exception.
