You're correct patrick bateman.
who is Genesis?
I remember listening to this at a school disco in about '87. I was young, carefree and with my life ahead of me. Here I am in 2023. Christ, where did time and my youth go?
a kid in my class of 86 had yr name plus a by (jasonmorrisby) . congrats to us for belonging to THE BEST GENERATION..... X
O tempo não perdoa meu caro, temos apenas q tentar viver da melhor forma possível, e depois recordar e agradecer por esse privilégio...
Your comment is basically Terry Pratchett's quote: “Inside every old person is a young person wondering what happened.”. 😔

Every song is relatable to me, what an amazing song writer, musician GOAT
Anos 80 tempos bons
So quem viveu nesse tempo sabe o que é música Boa!!😊😊
How I wish I could hear Phil again in his powerful concerts, to bring back that enthusiasm.
Hearing these old Genesis songs are taking me right back to my childhood when my dad would always play their songs. We played Follow You Follow Me at his funeral a couple weeks ago. You're with mum now dad, both of you fly high, love yous ❤️
My condolences. Your old man had good taste in music and I can assure you, there are bright days ahead
All the feels my bro! Bless to your dad. My he rest in peace. And bless to you, all the best in your endeavours. Keep your head up.
there is no high or low... We are all the dust of long-dead stars, rushing in one house from the center of galaxies into unknown darkness... and our rulers are pitting us against each other and imposing religions on us

Same pal, my dad passed couple of months back he loved genesis, keep your head up
90年代に産まれましたが、この曲を聴いてから80'sが大好きになりました。
Watashi Mo! So did I. Same for me
An undisputed masterpiece
I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums.
Thanks Paul Allen 😉

La mejor de Phil Genesis
His music is an explosion of joy in this sad time
I drove 5 of us to NEC Birmingham, a long drive in my Ford Escort Mark 3. It was my first live rock concert and when they sang Invisible Touch I suddenly felt an amazing happy, invigorating feeling throughout my whole body, an incredible feeling that I hadn’t had before . All the audience were lost in the moment. The concert was great but this was the best. We queued for 2 hours to drive out of the one exit available for thousands of cars - we didn’t care and stayed on a high all the way home = I think it’s improved a bit since then. Saw Phil Collins solo at Hammersmith a few years later, what a talent
Love him or hate him, Phil Collins is one of the greatest artists of all time
I love you Phil!

So many great great songs of Genesis/Phil..

Love you man ❤
本当にこの曲が好きです。毎日出張時には聞いています。
Phil Collins is a true musical chameleon. He seamlessly transitioned from being the powerhouse drummer of Genesis to becoming the band's lead vocalist and frontman. His unique blend of charisma, humor, and musical talent has made him one of the most beloved and versatile artists in the industry.
In the "Invisible Touch" video, we see Collins in his element, showcasing his versatility as a performer. He effortlessly switches between playing the drums, singing, and dancing, all while maintaining his signature charm and energy. His ability to connect with the audience is evident in his playful interactions with the camera and his animated facial expressions.
But Collins' success would not have been possible without the incredible talent of his bandmates. Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, and Phil Collins formed a musical powerhouse that created some of the most iconic songs in rock history. Their chemistry and musical synergy are evident in every note of "Invisible Touch" and in every frame of the video.
Collins' journey from drummer to frontman is a testament to his talent, versatility, and unwavering passion for music. He has left an indelible mark on the music industry and continues to inspire generations of musicians with his unique style and infectious energy.
This song is memorable to me. It was popular when I was in high school. I first heard this song in a commercial for Japanese cosmetics, and it's catchy and catchy, and it got my heart dancing just the right amount.I still listen to it occasionally.
This song is so uplifting, but I listenedt o the lyrics for the first time and they are dark, depressing and give me hopelessness
"I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility." - Patrick Bateman -
I would not dare to dispute that without my trusted chainsaw
I prefer "don't just stare at it, eat it" myself 🤣
I'm watching that right now lol.
Batman?
REAL MUSIC!!!!!! ♥️
Phil is an excellent musician, a great, his music will be heard forever.
Everything about this song screams 80's and I love it.
Oh yes 👍👍
I love this song and Phil Collins is full of fun. It takes me back to my younger days. What a brilliant group.
I just love the bit at the end, when the trio just sing : "She just seems to have an invisible touch - oh, oh..." on repeat without the backing track. It might cheesey - but you know what? I like it.
I adore this man and Genesis, he was there growing up from when I was born (86) and is still here now. He's like family 😊
This song is simply out of the world... awesome and intellectual...one can only relate to this if someone had such an experience mentioned in the song
Indeed
I think PC is way under rated. He's a top drummer, singer, songwriter and performer. Simply mega talent. No gimmicks needed.
Hardly underrated, he is continually recognised as one of the top ever musical performers, ridiculous comment
This brings back memories. Back in 1987 I was in a high school music class. The teacher had a drum kit in the room for us to try out. I had a turn, and happened to have the Invisible Touch album with me. I wanted to attempt drumming along to a song by Genesis. The teacher said
"Yes."
Some of my classmates asked the teacher why?
"Phil Collins is one of the best drummers in the world,"
he explained.
Why do I mention this now? Not to be arrogant. I was the only one in my class who liked Genesis. The girls were obsessed with Bon Jovi. The boys- AC/DC. I still like Genesis now, especially the Invisible Touch album.
"....When the "aficionados" compare the old Genesis with the new Genesis, saying that the old were better, I completely don't agree with it. This is an example of a very well crafted song that has everything in it, all the elements combined together: Song writing, playing and singing, and a great production behind it. If the history of Genesis were trapped in the old formula, it would have been a Monolith sitting there representing more of a memory than an evolution.
Art can't be trapped, as much as Nature or God, because Arts have to continually evolve into something different because it's an ongoing search for perfection. This is the way I see it. So Bravo to this eternal Band. I personally loved all their changes through their times!"
So long....
Mr. Carus Alambra🤔
Magical music touch 80´s
It´s a delight to watch this video and see how much fun they had making videos, how they kept sticking together thru ups and downs in their personal life and even continuing after Phil's solo career skyrocketed!
I'm so happy the days of ''hating Phil Collins'' are over. He's like the good hearted uncle of pop music
The South Park episode is still funny tho
How could you hate Phil his voice is like the world is in your hand ? :( He is awesome
@@lovenotwar598
There was a time in the early 00's where Phil was EVERYWHERE and it got annoying. And his solo acts were considered (what you would today call) "Boomer Music", as all parents were crazy about him.
He also supposedly bragged about his awards a lot in interviews.
Stupid reasons to hate him, but I guess oversaturation can annoy a lot of people.
Jordi Danen He's real good-hear ted. You can see it in his videos. I'm so proud of him as a musician and as a person.💘❤❤💓💓💔💔💕💖💖💗💙💛💛💝💝💞💞
JackOfen Taylor Swift is EVERYWHERE now too and no one considets her annoying. All the parents are crazy about her, which makes Swifties flog to her banner even more.... He has every reason yo be proud of his awards!!!!!!
They are a good rocking band..I love them❤❤️🩹✌️🙋
Great music
Phil Collins and Genesis are legendary
One of my first albums I bought on cassette as an 80s kid. You can’t mistake Phil Collins vocals for anyone else. I love Genesis as a kid as they all looked like Bank Managers!!
0:25 = one of the best drum openings to a song ever! Phil was an incredible drummer aswell as singer and overall nice bloke. Hope he’s enjoying retirement 😊
Legende!! Immer und überall Genesis
I❤this no.1 song
still my favorite in 2024
I’m learning to play guitar I can low key sing basically I’ve been a asshole and I’m gonna paint a rose in clear nail varnish and propose again so she never forgets or leaves me 😢❤❤❤
This song helps with the rainy clouds in my head.
This is pure 80s pure production before digital it's a masterclass in a popular song
There’s a bit of digital in there. The vocals have digital early reflection reverb on them during the pre-chorus and chorus. Popular at the time, though.
This is what you call REAL MUSIC!
that's what she said...
wait, what?
It's what I call turgid, overproduced chod.
Sharon Crose here go again, you can't label things that you like as real, and those who you don't as not real. That's just plain stupid.
***** reductionist crap.
It's good, certainly better than today's pop. But by definition it's all "real" music, good or bad.
Phil Collins is the reason why i play drum and try to singing at the same time
Song always puts me in a good mood when I'm down
Maybe more positiveness from here - jw.org

Que grande Philips Collins ,capo ,capo lo más grande de los 80 que no daría para ir a un recital ..Dios mio ,cuanto amo a este artista❤
I do not know how Tony Banks can say about this song like one he is not proud...
Every time I listen it, I live, I smile, I love...
Esse cara é uma lenda viva, temos o privilegio de ouvir esse gênio!!
Gênio mesmo
This was the first Genesis song I ever listened to. I was like 10 years old and using the internet to find music was the biggest discovery of the century for me. Saw this video in the recommended tab and gave it a try. Then one thing led to the other and now I'm in college and absolutely adoring their music, especially the 70's stuff. It's weird how it all began here for me.
Same here! This is the first Genesis song I knew too, and it got me to love the band
Great song and Phil, Mike and Tony are all brilliant songwriters/musicians
Well I've been waiting, waiting here so long
But thinking nothing, nothing could go wrong, ooh now I know
She has a built in ability
To take everything she sees
And now it seems I'm falling, falling for her.
She seems to have an invisible touch yeah
She reaches in, and grabs right hold of your heart
She seems to have an invisible touch yeah
It takes control and slowly tears you apart.
Well I don't really know her, I only know her name
But she crawls under your skin, you're never quite the same, and now I know
She's got something you just can't trust
It's something mysterious
And now it seems I'm falling, falling for her.
She seems to have an invisible touch yeah
She reaches in, and grabs right hold of your heart
She seems to have an invisible touch yeah
It takes control and slowly tears you apart.
She don't like losing, to her it's still a game
And though she will mess up your life,
You'll want her just the same, and now I know
She has a built in ability
To take everything she sees
And now it seems I've fallen, fallen for her.
She seems to have an invisible touch yeah
She reaches in, and grabs right hold of your heart
She seems to have an invisible touch yeah
It takes control and slowly tears you apart. She seems to have an invisible touch...

Phil Colins:
Amazing drummer.
Able to take the piss out of himself.
Incredible voice.
All round nice bloke.
Londoner.
Does it get any better?
I have been loving him since 1988
He did some better from 1971 to 1977...
Been an admirer of most of his and their work since the mid/late 70s.
Well he could have been Mancunian😎
No offence to Phil but I would guess that it does get better 🙂

Invisible Touch is the group’s undisputed masterpiece. It’s an epic meditation on intangibility, at the same time it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. It has a resonance that keeps coming back at the listener, and the music is so beautiful that it’s almost impossible to shake off because every song makes some connection about the unknown or the spaces between people.
That's deep
