Really enjoyed this video! Recently bought back my old 1975 CB750 four from a friend who I had sold it to 35 years earlier. Brought back a lot of great memories!
This is beautiful man. My stepdad just passed away and left me his 71* Cl350. I’m picking up where he left off on working on it. Great conversation you had with this guy. Love your channel man.
Those 750 Hondas are beautiful, even the 550/4 is nice. Such a classic look. The naked CBX & Gold Wing are cool as well. From what I've heard the CBX came w/ its own little issues but once they're sorted out they sure are a conversation piece.
Beautiful shop too! Until recently I was commenting to work on my '66 Honda 305 Dream that I bought at the local junkyard for $150 and partially restored. Part of my commute was on the freeway and by taking the baffles out of the stock pipes I was getting another 5~10 mph on top end. Too much fun! Amazingly, those Dreams handle pretty well, perhaps because their pressed-steel frames are so stiff.
What a truly nice guy, that has an amazing collection of bikes. Very admirable how he kept them up. I love when you buy collections of well kept bikes. I get as excited as a young kid on Christmas Day lol, when I watch amazing videos like this. Thanks Brother. Enjoy your evening.
It's also amazing that not only did Dan get into restoring bikes late in life at 50, but put that collection together in only 25 years! Gives me hope as a late bloomer to bikes.
Amazing collection display The generation is reaching a certain age where you must let go must be hard to do but it happens to us all ..the next generations can carry on the great Passion 🙏 best thing is most of these bikes will be around forever
It's amazing! Ken that I got to review those and now I know where the little tickets came from. This is why I watch you. What an amazing collection this man has. I have never seen motorcycles so clean wow the man's been in the business for a long time. I love hearing the stories sir. Absolutely awesome ride until you die 🤘😁 inside Dan's garage is mine knobbing. Absolutely eye candy motorcycles
Incredible collection just love hearing the stories of collectors I always had a passion for the Honda motorcycles.I just wish I didn’t live so far away from the museum I like the naked wings, myself kinda has the first look of the nighthawks especially if you lowered the front forks lol I keep noticing you looking at the scramblers too
I was thumbing around yesterday and found a Kaplan video from 6 years ago on the 1400 suzuki intruder. They had a mint 94 model, I've got a pretty clean all original '97 1400 intruder! The love for all things bike is what keeps me coming back! Just my style!
I wish that Yamaha was the Midnight Special edition. I always loved that black and gold combination on those models. I believe the gold mags on that Honda 750 came of a Yamaha Virago.
I seem that sulfer yellow 76 gl1000 he said it was red he painted it yellow i have an original 76 yellow I think i tell you that everytime the chance comes up jusr put new tires on it this year love riding it and if you store them right the seat or anything for that matter stays looking just like new what a collection
I believe the first dirt was a Honda 160 Scrambler, My family had a Honda Dealership. My first bike was a Honda monkey bike 50cc in 1952 and I was 5. I'm still riding at 66+.
Cracking vid Ken. As a Honda man myself since I could talk the language of bikes - so maybe 1970 - and as a fan of your channel, I loved this one more than most. I have a '69 Sandcast, a '69 Diecast (a full set in my opinion of this iconic bike) plus another CB750 from 1970. This is Yoshimura (so stroked, carb'ed and exhaust'ed with Yoshi) and with Russ Collins electricals (If you don't know him, have a Google). I am sure that you know the "Sandcast" story, with Soichero Honda San, trying to beat Kawasaki to the finish line with a 4 pot 750, and sacrificing the Honda diecast engine plant project, to "Gravity" cast (or "Sandcast" as legend now records) to beat Kawasaki by 3 weeks. You also know the Kawasaki response. Devastation. Abandoned the 750 project , and 3 years later, emerged with the Z1 in '72 (yes - '72, not 73). I have an early 1972 prototype Z1 also - which completes the "Drama" of my collection in this exact time in history. I wish prices were the same here as in the US. You need to open a UK branch Ken 😉 For sure
@@KaplanCycles nice one Ken. Keep it my friend. As you said yourself in previous videos - made of unobtanium, andxwhat a beauty for tge museum. Ken, there is a Sandcast Owners Club. It is in the UK, but worth joining. Ride safe brother 👌. Me and my lad are coming to see you one day. It's on the bucket list mate
I used to drive past this guys house all the time, running around between goshen and middle town my friend lived down the road. I knewnit lokm famaliar when he mentioned cycle motion haha
I’m sure those gold rims come from the f 2 Honda cb.I had a 1969 sand cast 750 they had different larger carbs ,11% advance instead of 10% like the rest .the smooth air filter & finned side cover was different than the rest .
The 450 is sure a nice bike! I wish he would fix the gas lines! Those replacement lines, he used, distract from how nice it really is! I wonder if its a 4 speed?
Nice collection, love the Hondas , I used to clean and Polish the wheels on my uncles 305 scrambler so I Could get rides on it, that Bike has been on my mind For along time. That's what what started the wheels turning, this guys cool And U Niceest people on a HONDA, I'M really glad to Hear he's going to stay in The bike business because We need people like him , Because OLD GUYS RULE.
OMG that's absolutely amazing! You really got gold there. That guy is in incredible condition for 72 years old. I'm 59 and cancwr nearly killed me already 😢. But I'm still here with a new lease on life. I've been into bikes since I was 9 years old in 1973. First bike was a Harley Davidson 65 cc mini bike. It was yellow. Man, I wish Dad would have tucked that away! I'm really into trials bikes now. I'm not a trials rider by any means lol but I like to play ride on it. Great bike for regaining strength and balance after the surgeries. I'm currently trying to set up my garage like a real motorcycle repair shop. I have a hydraulic dirt bike lift and I'm going to upstate New York next month to get some more equipment. Tire changing stand, bead breaker, tire band, levers and rim protectors. I'm also going to get one of those untrasonic carburetor cleaning tanks. It's good for my gun parts too. I hope it works like the videos show. Your a cool guy! You remind me of that guy on airplane repo. Have you ever been told that? Well my friend have fun and be safe
WOW what a collection? I live in Washington State I've had about a half dozen bikes all together. I had several really old Yamaha 80s. with the rotary valve single cylinder two stroke engines. that had the carburetor down inside the engine case. and a Suzuki TS 185 Enduro. and a 1968 Honda 250 scrambler. and a 1969 Husqvarna 360 dessert cross bike. and last but not least, a 1980 Honda CB750K with a vetter full fairing with lowers. I didn't have all of them at the same time. so couldn't call them a collection. and they were nothing like this fantastic collection. I've always wanted one of early seventies Honda 750 fours? but haven't been lucky enough to find one. and I would really like find a Honda 450 scrambler? because I really liked the 250 but it was a little bit small. and I would liked more power. and I rode one that a friend had and I would really like to find one? and that is a Triumph 500 scrambler. but they are extremely rare. and my ultimate dream motorcycle that I have always wanted since I was young? was a Montesa 390 big bore motocross bike. but they are extremely rare and probably impossible to find.
Smart man has a CO2 Fire Extinguisher not a Dry Chemical which would extinguish a fire BUT also has a corrosive element that damages metals. Fire safe and thinks of what happens after the event. Not your everyday garage for sure.
I can't wait to play sir. Especially I know you got the MC300. I can't wait to see that on the raffle. I will buy a lot of tickets. Amazing collection sir. You always blow my mind with the Hondas. I love Hondas amazing collection. That's gentleman had absolutely mind-nobbing Kaplan cycles number one I can't believe the way those Hondas look absolutely amazing sir. Amazing!
Very well done video very nice and I appreciate seeing that I had a few of those bikes and it brings back very very strong memories and great feelings to see them again thank you so much well done❤❤ My very favorite was that Honda Super 90 and that superhawk 305 they were my first motorcycles that I had back in 1967 I love those bikes❤❤
If you did a race with the same size motorcycles 650cc all around the same weight but one was a single one. Was a parallel to win. One was a triple and one was in line for and you raced them all. I think the single would take off first then the parallel twin and the triple then the four and then the four would end up passing the line first then the three, then the two and the one. I swear that's what I think would happen
A life time collection for a man who loves his motorcycles. Must of been tough for him to give up these awesome bikes. Thanks Ken for sharing with us.
No doubt!
Nah!!!
As long as you sell to another person with the same passion!!!
It’s like passing em on, to next generation.
This is such a sick collection! So many years of dedication. Respect!
Agreed
Amazing
Super nice gent.
Thanks for treating him with respect, Ken 😁
I really enjoyed this video! I love seeing people with a passion for motorcycles. He has a great collection, and those CBs are drool worthy.
Hi from Australia, you’re a wise man with a great morals. America needs someone like you to lead the country!
Amazing collection and he has everything in order and even battery tenders to each bike, this man knows how to take care of things!!
The whole collection is phenomenal but that 400 ss is to die for! If your a Honda man like me that is heaven on earth
Really enjoyed this video! Recently bought back my old 1975 CB750 four from a friend who I had sold it to 35 years earlier. Brought back a lot of great memories!
It’s a joy listening to the history of the bikes. Man he kept them immaculate. What a beautiful collection.

You are so welcome!

IN 1986 I bought a 1980 CB750 from the original owner.. it had 850 miles on it.i paid 1500 bucks for it.The bike was beautiful!
Great collection of old Hondas.
Nice job Dan, killer collection!

@@KaplanCycles first year of the 5 speed transmission!
WOW is an understatement. Thanks so much for sharing.
My pleasure!
Ken you can never have to many Honda's 👍
Awesome collection, and none better then Kaplan Cycles to buy the collection. I plan on visiting the Museum in the near future.
You should!
Super nice collection, when u where talking about the Vulcan had me cracking up lol😂
Amazing collection! Those gold rims on the cb750 are aftermarket, probably Lesters or Henry Abes
What a great collection 👍👍
Thanks 😀
That was a really nice collection. Just wish it would have had a SL100 and SL350 in it.
Very Nice. I'd be like a kid in a candy store.
gorgeous collection
It really is!
Jaw dropping collection! 👀
What a great collection. Congratulations. And best wishes from Germany
Love the older hondas. Bought one earlier this year, a 1997 st1100av. Just cannot spend enough time riding it. Not enough hours in the day
I wish that Yamaha was the Midnight Special edition. I always loved that black and gold combination on those models. I believe the gold mags on that Honda 750 came of a Yamaha Virago.
Take the chrome trim off the tank edge seams, they're a water trap. '72 500/4 is the pick for me.
yea
and it messes up the lines
@@joeblow5037 The custodian appears to have bought a large roll of it. 😁
Can't knock his business sense though.
Beautiful collection 😍

Wow!!!
That cbx is the one!!!
Very nice!!!
Wow, a lot of work and commitment goes into that hobby! Of course, we always see what’s missing - any VFR’s?
Very nice collection.
Thanks for watching!

Great video ken 👍. That is some collection of beautiful bikes it's like being in a dream having all them in one place.
Best breakfast i ever had feasting my eyes on these pristine honda's.
Always!!
This is a freaking great find! OMG
They all are works of art that you can ride hear smell
Im just surprised no Honda Magna VF750s, or any other V4 bikes..
That gold and white CB175 is such a beautiful bike.

Alan Alda had a great collection
I believe the gold wheels on the cb750 came from an 80s vintage Kawasaki.
I ride a 82 Honda CM450 with 12,000 miles, 10K of which I put on. It was a Shriner parade bike.
I believe Barber’s Motorsports Vintage Days is the largest event in the Nation.
Awesome collection. Too bad it's not Yamaha collection.
