How to Bind the FS-GR3F Receiver - It Probably Isn't Faulty!

- I have made this video to help people understand the new binding process for the FS-GR3F receiver model.
Many people complain that their new model receiver is faulty, however in every occurrence so far, it has been a simple case of not following the binding instructions, or not being aware that they have changed.
Unlike the previous models, the new FS-GR3F model uses the top row of pins for the bind plug, not the second row. This is labelled correctly on the receiver itself, but since it looks so similar to the previous model it can easily be overlooked.

Thanks to your video I was able to bind the same receiver with the same transmitter. But now there's no response. I installed a Hobbywing Quickrun 1060 esc, and all the esc does is blink but no steering no throttle.
That just might have been my mistake! The display indicates the second row as being the bind position. Can’t wait to try it!

I had trouble binding but i put the bind cable in row 3 where it says bind. It worked. Important is to put your flysky receiver into
the right mode under TX settings AFS, not AFS-2. You can check this on your receiver!!
The E model (FS-GR3E) does use the second row of pins. The bind was on channel 3.

Mine still won’t bind. Uggggh. Could the problem be I’m using a new hobby wing max6? I’ve tried 3 brand new receivers. They all blink slow and will not bind.

I know 6 year old video. But I have the gt3c with the gr3e receiver, now I've seen the f model and thought the gr3e was new as I read it can handle 8.4v.
Can you enlighten me.
Think is I wanna use higher voltage bec and go straight to the Rx. Cheers

I have three receivers of this type.
Two crawler cars with different ESCs that have 6V internal bec
When I roll at a constant slow pace, sometimes it accelerates abruptly for a second and then returns to the slow rhythm.
I tested with two different lipo 2s batteries
I tested with gt3b and gt2
When I tried with 3pj FMtaba FM, I have no problems.

Trying in both rows and cannot get the receiver to flash rapidly(get in bind mode) dont know what I'm doing wrong. Going back to a traxxas for the 3rd time if this doesn't work
My bind is actually the second row where it says bind. I couldn't get it to work the first 10 times but finally got it.

@@Overland_RCOr 2ch, in the manual it says the transmitter needs to be AFHDS, so other brands should work to.
What do you plug into VCC? Is it the speed controller after the binding proces? Or is is just a battery cell?
No difference. You can plug a batt or an esc to any other free port. the + and - pins are all connected together. That is, all the "-" pins are connected together, and all the "+" pins are connected together.
I have the same receiver and transmitter and this does not work. Mine only flashes if it's in the 2nd plug down from the top. And still won't bind

Mine isn't that problem though.😕 I ran my Buggy for 6 feet total, before hitting a wall, at not very high speed.
SOMEHOW, that tap Killed the Reciever! 😕😠😠 Dead.
Tried re Binding, but I can't even get a LED blink. Nothing. No function at all.
Shame really, the Transmitter really impressed me. It's a GT2B, and it still works.
The Reciever - *tapped* a wall at 1/4 throttle with a stock silver can, and POOF! Dead. Nothing.
I've hit walls before, at scary speeds with my Futaba 3PRKA in my other Truck.... nothing happened. Everything works fine still.

I am finding an interesting problem when I bind more than one A3 to the same GT5. Specifically, I assign all trucks different ID numbers and bind each truck individually. But, If I power up all the trucks, they all respond at the same time, to the tx, regardless of which ID number they are assigned to. So, they're not bound at all, just open to communicating. This could be a major problem if someone else in my group is running a Flysky, I expect. Has anyone else heard of this? Thanks if you can help out.
That is working as it should. When you bind a receiver to a transmitter, you're binding the transmitter to a receiver, not a specific model memory in the TX . Your models should all respond to your TX when on. A model memory is just a set of settings, like trims and mixes, not a code to bind to a specific RX. Your models TXs are not open to everyone, they are open to just your TX. No worries there.
@@OliveiraX Agree that my A3s work with just my own tx, and I have been equipping my fleet. Worth noting, however, that my five-channel Flysky receiver binds exclusively to the GT5, and will not operate at the same time as the A3s. This 5-channel Rx G5 Tx combination is clearly a bit more brainy, and even issues a warning.

Preecharles Tavee yeah mate, in the 8ch is the same... Receivers being produced like that for 15 years...
They confuse things by having 5 rows of text on 4 rows of pins, half the trouble with these would be solved by moving the S+- row higher and aligning the print.
My rc remote is flashing red instead of red and green hell
