+alex g. Yeah, the Mazda 2 can take quite high revs.. Generally speaking, it's most powerful from 3k -5k, but if dragging there's absolutely no shame or harm in redlining... and tbh, his pull off was good, didn't seem harsh

Some B-spec cars run up to 8k btw. and those are full on abused racecars. engine takes revs like a champ.

Mazda has always had Knowledge on high rev engines, I don't think this Mazda 1.3 engine had a problem with the short redline touch, if he let it warm up properly.
