Yep, that's true. I have a friend who's gay but he's having a hard time coming out to his family and telling his male crush that he likes him, the same goes when a guy having to admit whether he kissed a guy or not. It is easier for girls to be intimate without looking suspicious.

Yuri lover's and their idea of all girls schools aren't that abstract. There are a lot of girls that start liking girls in all girls schools. In comparison guys starting to like other guys at all boys schools is pretty rare. Simply because girls normally touch other girls but guys don't normally touch other guys. The step between friends and romance is far bigger with guys than with girls.

Utako is probably one of those people who made me hate Fujoshis, she just thinks what she likes and believed it was all true.
I mean, it's common knowledge that:
- Boys don't hold hands, no matter how close they are, while girls do that a lot.
- Boys only hug after a long time not seeing each other and only towards a close friend, girls do that all the time- even kissing each other cheeks when greeting each other.
- When boys try to cheer each other up they simply pat each other back, they even kick or punch each other, but girls do more than pat each other back like holding hands tightly while looking at each other eyes and then cuddle with each other... and that's normal honestly.
There will be some exceptions about hugging or kissing each other forehead's on a certain level of camaraderie, but even so, boys need a big reason to do it. Like winning a sports game, a World Cup, or getting a gold medal in Olympics, surviving a goddamn war, or perhaps the boy who you've been seeing is just a gay.... or European?
