The company to me really feels like highschool. Not might be the best but it's makes you meet many fun people and let you learn and gain a lot, afterall of that, friendship is the best part of this company
Thank you for the subs. I watched this live but couldn't understand some of what they were saying. It's interesting to hear Kenmochi's thoughts on the direction of his/ROF-MAO's activities. He's always been the sort of person who prefers making the audience laugh rather than doing fanservice. And it's probably more accurate to say that ROF-MAO are comedians not idols lol. But it's also true that the environment of Nijisanji and Vtubers in general has changed a lot in the six years he's been active. I hope that even if the landscape changes, Kenmochi can still find a place to express his individuality six years from now. (Related, it kind of hit home how long six years is in Vtuber time, when on this same stream, Ruri said that six years ago she was in middle school watching Nijisanji..)
Wholeheartedly agree with you! 6 years is a pretty long time and the environment has indeed changed drastically in the past few years (he also talked about this in his essay) so I can't help but worry sometimes if he still feels comfortable being himself and delivering content as an entertainer. At least we know he still loves Vtbers alot! Personally also super grateful for his presence in ROF-MAO such that they keep to their comedian route, because many of the units being pushed out today are sold on the basis of teeteeness for a lack of better word. Not that there's anything wrong with that but to me NIJISANJI has always been about entertainment and doing new crazy shit 😂
ROF-MAO is a unit that was formed after each of them debuted on their own! E.g. Kenmochi is the most senior in the group at 2018, whereas Kaida, the most junior, debuted in 2020. So it's a mix of seniors and juniors and they do a weekly variety program + active on the music front as well 😁
@dani_lia Kanae and Kuzuha debuted under something called NIJISANJI Gamers (now defunct, so ex Gamers) so they are kind of like part of the same gen? (Correct me if I'm wrong @ anyone)
