You're being so, so critical with yourself... what you are able to create with just watercolour alone is...STUNNING!!! I am in love with your style! And I would buy any book that is a print of one of your sketchbooks. I am just so glad you are sharing
I love your work. I keep coming back to your videos to be honest. It's enough for me to get inspired. Thank you for sharing. Warm greetings from Poland.
This is lovely. I like the one at the airport. It's a little crowded but the viewer definitely knows, you're at an airport. And my favorite is the one with the three ladies painting.
What a wonderful sketchbook!! Thank you for sharing it. Your style is so distinct, and I love your color choices. I also love that you make definitive choices to add elements you want to see in your work. Amazing! Truly inspirational.
It was lovely to see what you have been doing in your sketchbook since the first class in Brooklyn. Using your blocking technique helped my trees look the best - more like trees.
Great video of your sketchbook, Ohn Mar! Your figures in watercolor are beautiful. I love the three ladies on the bench. This inspires me to keep exploring in my travel journal.
Blown away by the loose, beautiful style that brings so many travel moments to life! Love the page of buildings on the corner near the beginning. I'm finding it challenging to be so loose in my own work but you continue to inspire me, thank you!
So beautiful and inspiring! The little boxes with restricted color were a great exercise in composition. But the Brooklyn work is extra special to me because I live at the edge of Brooklyn Bridge Park and I know these places, and you really captured the feeling of autumn here (and yes, those are pilings from an old pier sticking up out of the water!) Your vibrant colors and simplified compositions have created maximum impact. Well done, I look forward to seeing more!
So beautiful. I love your figure work, really all of your work inspires me. I am so glad I got to meet you and hope to go to another workshop again. Brooklyn changed me as well.
What a wonderful flip through. Love your colour choices and free style. I'm a digital artist just starting watercolours, so this has been most inspiring. Thank you.
Absolutely amazing sketchbook! Haha. U are not an urban sketcher? Are u kidding? Do u have any videos of u doing some of these? I’d love to see u in action so I can learn more. Thanks so much. What a great! Wish I could have been with u in Brooklyn! Maybe next time. Thanks
I started painting primarily because of you and Sam Dion Baker, and I'm still nowhere near as accomplished as you. Maybe it's okay for me to just enjoy your art instead of trying to do my own. 🤷🏾♀ Thanks for sharing this with us!
I was really enjoying looking at what I thought were fantastic sketches until you began to unnecessarily self-deprecate. I didn’t even notice all the errors you kept bringing up. What had started out as an enjoyable review of really good sketches had turned into focusing on what mistakes you made. I don’t think it’s necessary to be so self-critical this way in a TH-cam video. I don’t know if it helps you or your viewers to watch this with such a negative mindset. You sketch very well and should be proud of yourself. There is beauty in all art and whatever mistakes happen seem to add nicely to the human element of imperfection. Why not leave well enough alone.
That interesting you picked you on that as I'm a recovering perfectionist. And like many artists impatient with my process. Its a lifelong journey to go easy on myself when I'm trying something new like painting on location
Hope you enjoyed this flip through - let me know YOUR own joys and challenges when keeping a sketchbook
Amazing!❤️
Thank you! 😄
Beautiful sketchbookl! Watercolours are so liberating!
"I'm not an urban sketcher. Shows off tons of beautiful urban sketches. 😊
Lol lol - lets say I'm not your traditional urban sketcher

Such vibrant and lively work. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for your insight. I think you're right - its more important to have given it a sense of place than not even tried!
Love the Brooklyn sketches. One could spend a lifetime sketching Brooklyn!
Thanks and yes I think you're right !
Thank you! Lovely to see the work you created in Brooklyn!
Thank you so much!
I really love the smaller boxes of color with details penciled/inked in. That's a wonderful idea! Thank you for sharing your sketchbook with us!
You are so welcome! That was Koosje's way or working - you should check out her art!

Oh how wonderful and thank you! I had such a wonderful few days waking around and being totally inspired to capture what I could.
Such beautiful art! Looking forward to watching a Skillshare lesson (or lessons?) that is an outcome of your learning and discovery!
Thank you so much Evelyn!
So beautiful. I love your figure work, really all of your work inspires me. I am so glad I got to meet you and hope to go to another workshop again. Brooklyn changed me as well.
Thank you so much Brenda for such a sweet comment! I hope there will be other workshops in the US soon

Thank you so much! Good luck with your watercolor journey Connie
I love the greens and brown golds/yellows that you use could you give us your colour palette? Beautiful art I feel like I’m there
So very inspiring Ohn Mar! I love that you had so much freedom and that you are going to continue to say yes to the subjects that move you.
Thanks so much for your sweet comment - YES YES to much more of this!

Not yet but I'm working on a few ideas to show you my process for location skectches
Thanks for sharing. I also liked a lot of your lessons on Skillshare. I, too have to redo a lot of new sketches in different book per each subject.
I’ve probably got 3 on the go right now - I’m interested in so many things
I started painting primarily because of you and Sam Dion Baker, and I'm still nowhere near as accomplished as you. Maybe it's okay for me to just enjoy your art instead of trying to do my own. 🤷🏾♀ Thanks for sharing this with us!
Wow, thank you! Please don't compare your journey with mine or Sam's - we're all at different points.
