This was one of the most fun art supply unpacking I’ve seen. You were to delighted with each item. It was contagious. I’m excited to see how you continue to use the Neocolors.
Oh thank you Julie! Its kinda like Christmas but several times a year 😆 The Neocolors are a pretty new medium for me so I'm eager to try them out asap - I'll share here of course.
I'm trying to abstain from buying more art supplies for a while, but I do have Jackson's Art shopping cart full of stuff I want, but do not need. And I keep adding to it :D I loved this video, new art supplies are so much fun. And I really appreciate you showing us the finished sketches made with them, rather than just swatches.
Oh, I learned something new! I didn´t know, that the Posca pens are water soluble while fresh on paper, wow!!! So many new possibilities! 😀 Thanks to you, I recently bought Nip Pens and Winsor & Newton Ink. 😍And also Inktense Pencils from Derwent, they are much richer than water colour pencils.
this was fun to watch , and see how you play with your new toys lol i have been loving using acrylic inks to tone ( underpaint) my papers . I then paint with gouache, either a still life or one of my many plein air pieces on top of the ink toned paper .. thanks so much !! norakag, here 👍👍
Love the colors you chose! I’d love to see your luminance collection! I’m was interested to see more acrylic ink experiments, I have a few colors of inks that I don’t really use.
I loved how you experimented with your new supplies and seeing them in the sketches. It was very interesting and helps me to get an idea of how the different supplies behave. I am now very curious about the Neocolors and would like to see more on how you use them as well the ink. Thanks for trying out all the colors- I always want to see what they look like on paper before I buy something and usually can’t because I have to order online. Your comments about each were really appreciated. I just picked up a dip pen and my first bottle of acrylic ink (in burnt sienna). I’m excited to try them out.
Loved watching this Ohn Mar, so wonderful to see your enthusiasm and now I have lots of new material shades I have my eye on too! Would love to see a video with all of your luminance pencils!
Oh my gosh, yes to Caran D'ache watercolor crayons, I've been using them for decades. I do so love the Posca backgrounds, even the first version. Enjoyed the sketchbook clips at the end👏✌️
Ok...... Totally IN LOVE with your drawings at the end. I would pay to watch a tutorial for those paintings or maybe a Skillshare class or a Patreon... just saying. Thank you so much for the haul, I am an art supplies addict and loove to see what others are using. Have a lovely day 💕💕
I love your videos, thank you for sharing them. I just ordered some acrylic inks today so I can try out your technique of preparing my sketchbook pages with some colour before I start.
Ohn Mar, this was so much fun to watch! I loved how you just dove in and tried so many ways of using, adding water, making marks, combining effects. It was an inspiration. I have a set of 20 Caran d'ache luminance pencils that I'm just getting acquainted with. And now those Caran d'ache neocolors may be calling my name. I fell in love with those marks and when you added water....wow.
Thank you so much Eva. I think this is only the beginning of what I can achieve with some of my new art materials. So much to play around with in France too
I just bought the same ink in white...I heard somewhere it is the most opaque of all the inks. I thought it might be good for adding details instead of my gellyroll pen. I absolutely love it!
Seeing your haul was quite a treat! I've been wanting to get the neo colours for ages, just never bit the bullet. I may order some single ones. I recently bought some luminance pencils and i DID NOT REGRET THAT AT ALL. They are truly lovely. Can't wait to order more. Lately I've been using a lot of charcoal, doing a lot of value studies, drawings, experimentation in black and white.
I tried 100% cotton paper for the first time this year. It was life changing for me! I bought a tube of Daniel Smith Quinacridone Gold watercolor and I am completely obsessed with the color. I also bought a clutch pencil that has really chunky lead. I'm still getting used to it. It's a bit bigger/heavier than I expected.
I like the macaroons, but I understand what you're saying with the flat color. I've been using a Stabilo white pencil for highlights, which I came in an art supplies advent calendar. It really shows up nicely on top of watercolor and blank ink
Can you reactivate the acryl ink after it has dried? And if, what is the difference between acryl ink and water colour ink? So far I am only using the Aqua Drops from Schmincke and Winsor and Newton Ink. The Aqua Drop reactivates very easy and very rich while the W&N Ink is a little shy. :)
The acrylic inks cannot be reactivated. I don’t use very much water colour ink, so I couldn’t say how they behave when you add water to them after they dry.
So sorry, I’m late to the table on this 😬 I don’t know how Amazon is where you are, but in Canada, my Mum and I have been able to order Neo Colour II (they behave the same way as Neo Colours) for a decent price.
I would LOVE to know what art supplies you've bought recently - let me know in the comments 😀
I'm glad I'm not the only one with an art supplies addiction. I really love your pages preapered with inks. I'm definitely going to try this out!
Would love to see a video using your wonderful pencils and Caran d’Ache❤❤❤
I do have a video called Step by Step Watercolour and Colour Pencil Mixed Media that might be worth watching
Drooling over this one!! ❤❤❤❤

As soon as I see 'special offer' something goes off in my brain and my cart is constantly full lol
Thanks for sharing. Only half way through the video but before I forget, I would love a video with your luminance pencil collection!!
You got it!
This is a lovely video ❤
Your excitement is contagious! So fun. I'm not letting myself purchase many new art supplies. I need to experiment with what I have, which is A LOT!
I understand how you feel. Thankfully I do use most of the art supplies at some point.
Oh, I learned something new! I didn´t know, that the Posca pens are water soluble while fresh on paper, wow!!! So many new possibilities! 😀
Thanks to you, I recently bought Nip Pens and Winsor & Newton Ink. 😍And also Inktense Pencils from Derwent, they are much richer than water colour pencils.
You are so welcome ❤ and thank you for watching

So cool! I have only recently discovered a similar technique when I go to sketch on location I prepare the page with ink first.
love the effect the acrylic inks gave
I'm so glad to hear that
Just bought the Derwent Graphitint and I am amazed! A mix of graphite pencils and watercolors
Sounds great -I'm looking into those too
Love the colors you chose! I’d love to see your luminance collection! I’m was interested to see more acrylic ink experiments, I have a few colors of inks that I don’t really use.
Will do!! I've got lots of videos lined up for this Spring - I think you'll like them
So much fun to watch you unpack these goodies. Yes, please do a video w/your luminance pencils! thanks for sharing your impressions! 💜
Will do!! I'm really glad you enjoyed this video
Obsessed with the paintings at the end!! Beautiful 😍
Thank you so much 😀 I can appreciate how the messy sketches are still valuable.
I loved how you experimented with your new supplies and seeing them in the sketches. It was very interesting and helps me to get an idea of how the different supplies behave. I am now very curious about the Neocolors and would like to see more on how you use them as well the ink.

You are most welcome ! I'm exactly the same as there are no art supply stores nearby
Loved watching this Ohn Mar, so wonderful to see your enthusiasm and now I have lots of new material shades I have my eye on too! Would love to see a video with all of your luminance pencils!
Thanks so much for watching Katie. I have so many video ideas & not enough time. But my pencil collection does keep growing !
Jackson’s packets are the best - so well packed it feels like opening presents! Looking forward to watching you work with these.
I'm really looking forward to playing with them more
Lovely art haul 👌 your artworks are quite impressive
Thank you so much 😀
Thanks for sharing! I just purchased some Neo Color as well and am excited to do some experimenting.
Have fun! I've yet to sit down properly and really get stuck in.
Living all your videos! Would love to see a spring flowers series
I've got a few spring flowers demos in watercolor and ink - if you want to check out Apple Blossom and Forsythia on my channel
Omg! I’m about to buy the necolor ii too! In love with the colors of the brush pens Ohn Mar all lovely
Have fun! I'm going to produce a video where I use them probably in a landscape
Oh my gosh, yes to Caran D'ache watercolor crayons, I've been using them for decades. I do so love the Posca backgrounds, even the first version. Enjoyed the sketchbook clips at the end👏✌️
I'm really glad to hear that as I'm still working out which formats work best on TH-cam
Thanks for sharing! I want to try Neocolor.
You should - they give so many options to play further
Ok......

Thanks for the idea! I'll certainly consider it 😀
I love your videos, thank you for sharing them. I just ordered some acrylic inks today so I can try out your technique of preparing my sketchbook pages with some colour before I start.
Wonderful!
I love this, being an art supplies addict myself 😊
Oh boy you'll be in for a treat then - I'm always filling my Jacksons shopping basket with supplies 😆
Those colours are gorgeous! 🤩
I think so too! Thanks for watching 😀

Doesn’t that sound like fun? (France!) And experimenting with art supplies can get the creative juices flowing.
I just bought the same ink in white...I heard somewhere it is the most opaque of all the inks. I thought it might be good for adding details instead of my gellyroll pen. I absolutely love it!
Good to know! Its going in my shopping cart :)

It sounds like you're having as much fun as me working out how your supplies work best.

How Wonderful! Quin gold is one og my top favourite to paint with.
