You can play FO76 single player for the most part, but there are some important tasks that require a 2nd player. Namely the "Revive an Ally" task which is required if you want something bigger than the small backpack you have. If you're packrat and you hate being overencumbered, then you absolutely have to play with someone at some point. It's either that or you have to play with Power Armor all the time to be able to carry more.
I play “mostly” solo but my boy will appear sometimes to help out the “old man” ! If you’re gonna do daily ops just by yourself, you better have some serious armor and firepower !
Put this in your mind boys, this game wont be there forever cuz it an online game lemme explain how, companies after 9-10 years they shutdown the servers and fallout 76 is fully online so that means it wont be in there anymore just like the single player fallout 3 & 4 & nv
I started last month and I’m level 60 I pretty much soloed my way thru except times where they were missions where I had to kill a assaultron which can be impossible at times but it’s been damn fun soloing my way thru the game
Not necessarily. I would never pay that monthly fee, but it’s not just to play alone. You can create a private server for you and your buddies, which could also end up having better performance overall and just be your own place to play.
@@CarboneXVII man i would love seeing them do what they do best. Immersive solopplayer worlds to grind 100 of hours... fuck this games as a Service nonsense
You can get the game dirt cheap during sale. Try it first before deciding, do a refund if you don’t like it. I’ve sunk double my hours in FO4 with this game and FO4 is my most played game at the time - before FO76.
First bought the game and was hyped and then quickly stopped playing after picking up a weapon that I couldn’t equip because I wasn’t high enough level
honestly i really wanted to play this game but i really didn't like the whole mmo thing. would've been better if they just made it a co op game so you can choose who you want in the game. i know fallout 1st gives you a private world but i don't wanna pay like $20 a month just to play a game that i bought on release by myself or with just my friends
I threw my free Fallout digital download that came with my xbox away. I totally HATE multiplayer and no I will not pay. I will keep playing Fallout 4 until Bethesda stops fucking up games, nobody asked for a fucking multiplayer game, the whole point is you the player are a sole survivor or like. I hate people period! When I get home after working my ass off I don't want to deal with people online, I want my immersion to be just me and the world.
With the lack of guild/clans and a world text chat feature fallout 76 is absolutely single player with a few people at world events. ESO did such a way better job
Thanks for this video. I've wanted to play Fallout 76, but I hate MMO. I like Fallout for its plots, the ability to explore, and to interact with characters. Aside from all of that, can I run Fallout 76 on a laptop that can runs Fallout 4 and Fallout: New Vegas without any issues. Okay, Fallout: New Vegas has the game loading issue where the game fails to load all the way. While I enjoy replaying Fallout 4, I forgot how unfair Fallout 4 becomes with the Automoton DLC. And after I uninstalled Automoton, Codsworth disappeared but I can still hear him.
I love the setting of this fallout but god i wish it was a regular fallout game, cant even build a base in 76 withour draining my bank account, its stuoid
Thank you. You just help me make up my mind. Fallout 76 is on sale for $8. I can accept the fact that I can't play offline, but not the fact that I have to pay extra money to complete play Solo. Personally, the online play should have been an OPTION, NOT A REQUIREMENT. I'll just wait untill it's free on Epic, then I'll consider playing it. 😎
I prefer solo games but If every multiplayer game was played like fallout76 I'd might play more. Playing together is optional, which is how like my (online) interactions. I do join the occasional bullet fest event with a lot of level bazillion players one shot'ing everything that vaguely looked capable of hurting more than a fly. The only gripe I have is the continuing push for it. If Bethesda would have made it possible for me to opt out of all the desperate shrill noises they keep making about daily quests and other garbage idgaf about, the game would be even better. I'm not bothered too much by the always online aspect, its 2023 and even MS Office needs a connection to function so here we are.
@@NukovYT I do, and this game does not fall into the definition of a "Massively Multiplayer Online Game;" which is defined as a game where a very large number of people can play simultaneously. The people per server are quite severely capped (I think 25 these days if I'm not mistaken). That is hardly MMO territory. Something like BDO, LotRO, ESO, FF14--those are MMOs. FO76 is not.
Instead of playing this garbage just mod fallout 4 heavily and add tons of new content + power armors. I’d rather use Fallout 4 mods than play a multiplayer Fallout game.
Still not worth it after paying for the game, to then pay an ongoing monthly subscription for a rough looking and shoddy playing game is garbage. Always gonna skip a MMO title and wait for a proper Fallout game that's not based around developer greed.

i like to play alone in these types of games cause i hate when people kill you for no reason and being toxic.
There's no open PvP in Fallout 76 - so nobody can kill you for no reason
that's fair i like to take out others.
well, not being able to play offline was my deal breaker only made worse having a "pay to play" for solo "single player"
I agree and the subscription is the WORST idea yet, for private worlds. I would just stick to New Vegas and 4 for now.

Multiplayer game means the devs were too lazy to come up with anything original. This game is a pathetic cash grab.
