For Midnights she pulled sounds and lyrical parallels from most of her albums to make it. You should listen to Speak Now TV, folklore/evermore and Lover before jumping into The Tortured Poets Department
Honestly, I think it's refreshing to watch a reaction video that focuses more on the music. There's already plenty of video's out there that focus on the lyrics or the singing, so I like if someone approaches it differently. Especially because my brain doesn't naturally pay attention to the production side of a song, or at least not consciously, so I need someone to point those things out to me.
Finally finished watching this, great job! Funny, Midnights is my absolute LEAST favorite TS album. Just goes to show even among us Swiftie we have vastly differing tastes. And you know what? That’s awesome!
So I’d actually never seen the delicate video before this reaction, but I think the note refers to the line “dive bar on the East side where you at?” Lyric which is obviously what the note sayid. I think it’s supposed to suggest that the person who sent it is treating her like a normal person (she’s probably not normally able to go to dive bars due to security etc) so in treating them like normal, they allowed her to drop the fame persona and be herself, which in the video is shown as her appearing invisible.
Pausing to say that the "I apologize" edit nearly KILLED ME 😂😂 I appreciate you addressing why you don't pay attention to lyrics so much ahead of time. That's a legitimate reason and I respect it. Hey there! You just gained another sub from a 50 years old rock/metal guy from Germany who was turned into a Swifty by his 20 year old daughter. Long story short, after my daughter likes her so much and she normaly has a very good taste in music, I thought, maybe I should listen to a couple of her songs..... and boy I was in for a treat. Her songwriting and poetry is so outstanding in the pop buisness, also her shifting genres a couple of times going for the sound she wants is amazing. What really got me was "The Long Pond Studio Sessions", an acoustic revisit of her album "Folklore" which I personally find one of her best works (the acoustic version), because it's so emotional and deep. I woud suggest the song "My tears ricochet". Maybe check that one out. By the way, your reaction to this was fire, love your humor and the editing made me laught so hard sometimes. Keep going man! You got this! You def. deserve more subs! Greets from Germany! ... Edit. Forgot to say that some of the songs from Reputation really start to shine live, like "Ready for it", "I did something bad" and "Don't blame me". The live performances of these three on the Reputation Tour are just insanely good.
I love what you pick up sonically and point out to us. Thank you. Love it. Also. Love your random edits and clips inserted. It feels like brain. And I don’t usually see it represented in video form. I love it so much.
As autistic and instrumental/production enjoyer tysm for this reaction!! I’m terribly hyperfixated on dancing with our hands tied’s (and other rep songs) instrumental, and seeing someone who pays attention and appreciates all of that as much as I do makes me so happy🥹💕
This is my first video here and I have to say, this kind of feels like if Hank Green reacted to a Taylor Swift album. Idk, something in the way he talks lol. Love it so far
Thankfully someone DRAGGED that shit song that is called 'Dark Horse' lol Thanks for the reaction, you're awesome, man🎉🎉🎉 Hope '1989' is next, my favorite album of her❤
don't worry about what you don't know, most swifties like to fill newbies in on the tay-lore (lol), and it's not meant to make you feel shitty for not knowing it's just... fun? being open to her and her experimental production and whatnot is just as important, we all love looking at who she's co-produced albums with (she still works with jack antonoff who she worked on rep with up to this day, they're close friends), it's a part of the swift-education the tay-lore if you will lol. don't sweat it, take the music in however you need to :)
I'm so happy you're doing more Taylor Swift!! As a ceritified Swiftie myself, we don't care if you know all the details behind the songs, just listening to the lyrics and reacting is what we're here for!
Hey, Can you please react to BTS rapper RM's new album “RIGHT PLACE, WRONG PERSON," releasing on Friday May 24th 2024. A pre-release track of this album "Come Back to me” is also releasing on 10th May. We ARMYs (fans of BTS) would really appreciate you a lot 💜💜
About the note, my interpretation is that the note is from a significant other that wants to meet with her, but she knows she is famous and everyone will be watching or interfering so she wishes she was invisible. She does become invisible and enjoys it but eventually remembers that she wanted this when she was little, to be famous because of her songs and misses being seen. So at the end she finds the person who sent the note (Joe) and realizes that she wants to be with him even if people will be watching.
If you love a synthesizer you’ve gotta listen to the tortured poets department 1989 Taylor’s version has some good synthesizer as well. Jack Antonoff is our synthesizer king
Hello!!Can you please react to RM's new album " Right place wrong person" out on Friday , May 24. RM is a rapper and leader of BTS. Would love to see your reaction😊
My theory with the note is that she’s so used to having to be this “Taylor Swift” persona but this person she’s falling for reminds her what it’s like to feel safe to be herself. After the whole Kanye thing she disappeared for like a year while she started her relationship with Joe (a regular guy by her standards) and I think that’s what the note symbolizes maybe?? I don’t really know LOL but you got me thinking
Amazing video, thanks for sharing your opinion with us. I loved how you focused more on the production than lyrics which is something new when we talk about reaction videos. I liked your video even more because you are genuinely really funny, chill and you are just being yourself. Keep going... *N.B: Your style is so cool*

I love it so much.
this is by far my favorite rep reaction video. great editing, great reaction, great vid. subbed.
Being compared to either of the Green brothers in any capacity whatsoever is an honor and a privilege 🙏🏻🙏🏻
You will like down bad and imgonnagetyouback in the new album!!!
Thankfully someone DRAGGED that shit song that is called 'Dark Horse' lol
Thanks for the reaction, you're awesome, man🎉🎉🎉 Hope '1989' is next, my favorite album of her❤
don't worry about what you don't know, most swifties like to fill newbies in on the tay-lore (lol), and it's not meant to make you feel shitty for not knowing it's just... fun? being open to her and her experimental production and whatnot is just as important, we all love looking at who she's co-produced albums with (she still works with jack antonoff who she worked on rep with up to this day, they're close friends), it's a part of the swift-education the tay-lore if you will lol. don't sweat it, take the music in however you need to :)
I'm so happy you're doing more Taylor Swift!! As a ceritified Swiftie myself, we don't care if you know all the details behind the songs, just listening to the lyrics and reacting is what we're here for!
Fun fact: the baby who said “gorgeous” was Blake lively and Ryan Reynolds daughter James
Hey,
Can you please react to BTS rapper RM's new album “RIGHT PLACE, WRONG PERSON," releasing on Friday May 24th 2024.
A pre-release track of this album "Come Back to me” is also releasing on 10th May.
We ARMYs (fans of BTS) would really appreciate you a lot
💜💜
He's baaaaaack!!! Love your style and your vids get me smiling every time. Such a great vibe.
Your explanation about midnights being your favorite it's so on point, I joined swiftism during reputation an it's still my favorite (behind folklore)
Getaway Car and Don't Blame Me is Masterclass songwriting and production!
In "Are you ready for it" at the start of the music video There is the album 1989 backwards👍
If you love a synthesizer you’ve gotta listen to the tortured poets department
1989 Taylor’s version has some good synthesizer as well. Jack Antonoff is our synthesizer king
Hello. Can you please react to RM's new album " Right place, Wrong Person " out on Friday May 24th. RM is a rapper and member of BTS
Thank you so much 🥲❤
Hello fellow neurodivergent gremlin 👋 i had forgotten i was waiting for this! What a stellar surprise 🤩 your videos and editing are stimmy ❤️🔥 music is my biggest and bestest stim so thank you for drowning me in a massive dopamine wave 🙌
I love this. This reaction feels very fresh compared to a lot of others I’ve seen. Maybe because you focus so much more on the production than anything else (and your editing style). This and your midnights reaction had me dancing along in my seat with you.
I think you’ll really like the production in some of 1989 TV and The Tortured Poets Department. There’s a lot more of her work with Jack Antonoff to look forward to.
FINALLY someone loves getaway car. Its just pure nostalgia inducing vibes imo. I LOVE every second of it.
If call it what you want reminded you of midnights it’s bc that album ended up being a breakup album
If you love synths you'll definitely love her new album & 1989😂
