@sasserdave its costs 3k more than a fx4, and less than a king ranch or platinum so its not expensive. its way cheaper than it would cost to build a truck that way. its also not stupid, it hauls everything it needs to. it is not slow on the road, it does 100 at 2500 rpm. doing another lightning would make it pointless, the lightning couldnt tow either, it couldnt have back seats, it would be more expensive and it would just be another fast truck. off road pre runner has never been done before.

@4223037 there are complainers that the rap is ext cab only, so they are making a crew cab. they couldnt do that with another lightning, so they couldnt sell very many new lightnings
@sasserdave it is worked out. i was at ocotillo (the day i shot my vids) and the ranger there, who was in a lt siverado, said he was jealus and wanted one "But they arent coming in YET". so hey will probably get a lot of them, they are more expensive to buy but they dont need new shocks and a arm every hundred miles
@sasserdave 0-60 with the 6.2 is 7.6 not 8.2 seconds. who tows with thier race rig? if you need a truck that can tow your probably in a company F150 XL 4.6L white truck. its not a wannabe, it came 3rd in the baja 1000. they ripped the entire stock suspension out and stated over. the front lower control arm, even though they went from cast iron to alluminum it weighs 9 lbs more. replacing the shocks will set you back almost 3k dollars. and its a daily driver.

The funny thing is I can go out and buy any used truck for like 10 grand, take the other 30 grand and spend it on suspension and engine. Pretty sure it would rape a raptor in all aspects! Real off road enthusiast don't buy built trucks, they build them!

@sasserdave well the normall F150 can tow and haul more than any other truck in its class. when a car company is doing good, like ford is, they can afford to spend money to develop halo cars. gm cant afford to do this, which is why they are the only ones without a halo off road truck. on road performance is useless and pointless in a truck. typical gm fanboy

I know the eco-boost is more impressive but I’d rather have the The 5.4 L Triton Then the ego boost I think the 6.2 is probably the best one

Because this one was equipped with the 5.4 3v v8. The 6.2 would have performed much better
The newer trucks are significantly lighter and more powerful, as well as having better transmissions.
