@@PathtoGreatness2 thank you for doing what you do and sharing it with others . . . it's invaluable. I sent it to my oldest young adult son last night and am sending it to my young adult daughter today :).
My sister humiliated me when I was meeting a group of her in-laws for the first time. My calm response resulted in them feeling embarrassed with me and ashamed of her.
I have my agency, I have my world, my talents, and it’s filled me, panting, sculpting, writing poetry, and playing on cello, it’s enough to fill good with myself.
Inner strength and calm seems to resemble a muscle that needs to be engaged for most parts of the day. Especially in today’s world when there is so much aggression and thoughtlessness. Are there any versions of this talk for younger children? This would be helpful for my granddaughter who encounters bullying because of her height.
Show her successful people that are short. Someone she may like, see baby girl it doesn't matter. Having her say whatever. We all get hurt in school. There is a big problem in our schools today, The teachers and staff feel they don't need to stop the bullying, some of these bullies are being bullied at home,
A story, as a beautician, another stylist was putting me down, in front of customers i just ignored her. So she kept doing it. One day a customer was getting up to confront her. I now knew i had to do something, my feelings were great. So finally it was just us 2. I prayed first and said to the father, i am going to confront Jerry, and if she gets smart with me am going to drag hér by her hair outside and well. So i asked why do you always put me down, to be honest i did one to get her, for am totally in the flesh, she said because your so NICE WOW, Well i got a attitude adjustment. I was like good lesson, heavenly father.
@@AnneDahl-rr6wd I’m deeply sorry to hear about your loss and the difficult circumstances surrounding it. Losing a loved one, especially under unclear or unjust conditions, is devastating. Stay strong 🙌♥️ May God bless her soul,. Rip 🙏
One day I seated in a bas, and some man said to me , infrant all the people”you are primitive”, he don’t even know me, so I answered him: “ if you don’t have some thing good to say, don’t say anything”, and then he was embarrassed , not me.
I had not seen my abusive mother in years. We were in her car driving to the store , I kindly asked her if she would let me stop at a store which required her to change lanes. She started degrading me saying am I always going to be a pain in her ass and kept going as always. When she was done I softly and kindly said I AM A KIND COMPASSIONATE INTELLIGENT BEAUTIFUL WOMAN I DO NOT ACCEPT THE THINGS YOU ARE SAYING TO ME AND I SMILED 😂 I HAVE HAD MANY YEARS OF THERAPY OVER THE YEARS. She hated me til death and humiliation was her finest game. She turned the entire family against me . After more therapy I am stronger than ever love and respect myself . I miss my kids and grandchildren but will not accept the behaviors I must endure to have them in my life. Thank you Jordan and all of those in the same situations ❤❤❤
Well unfortunately I am not always there, its better to separate from chaotic people, the deep breath does also give us a second or 3 to not respond. When the same person you let back in does it again, u need to stop. But truly i will try practice.
You can be sure it isn't if you read the intro. "...is a powerful motivational speech inspired by Jordan Peterson’s teachings on resilience, self-worth, and personal growth..." Sounds like the output of an "AI" text to speech converter, but is the sort of thing I can imagine JP saying in his earlier days. I found it quite inspiring and thought-provoking. Helped to put the antics of a workplace bully into perspective.
I heard very good sentence : “ don’t trying to change the world, change your self”..
