I am so confused that he is called a dangerous right wing Proffesor?!?! He teaches responsibility and love. He is so passionate about a world of peace.

He objected to the government compelling people by law to use preferred pronouns. Advocates for that law insist that he's wrong and motivated by hate. It snowballed from there.

Exactly! Funny story, I actually avoided listening to his book all the way through (the 1st time) because he was talking about things I knew I needed to change. I think his message can be perceived as provocative or dangerous because it makes things a little too clear and might require some internal examination, that some might be avoiding (myself included). Peace!

Because those people want to blame their problems, insufficiencies, and lack of growth on others, a system, and not themselves or their experience in life. JP is/seems to be a staunch advocate of personal responsibility, individualism, and self-growth. Not collectivism and pushing blame away from oneself.
I dislike speaking for him, as he would whittle me apart to the core of my being in a conversation. 😆

the same way angry teens hate their father. Thats all there is to it. If i see the rallies where they scold him air horn him and everything, its just tantrum.
Its like that music video by 'twisted sister' where the dad wails at his deadbeat son: "what do you want to dooo with youuuur life!?" and he says "i wanna rock!" strikes a chord on his guitar and launches dad through the window and out the house. To teens that looks great but in reality the kid would be better off having a man to man talk with dad.
Peterson says "the world is like THIS!, now how ya gonna deal with that? how are you going to prepare fro the moment when you have to face that alone, without the safe cocoon mommy and daddy provide? how are you going to get that moon rocket to lift off once the tower disconnects and swings away? "
And yeah they hate that. They want to deny that growing up means suffering, toil, despair and getting dirty hands. He explains there are no white knights, because even the whitest knight has a bloody red sword.
You know, for a large part i blame how we treat kids for this.
from the dawn of time, up to the middle ages, an average 6 year old child had seen more suffering and death then a 40 year old has nowadays. Children were simply 'people' back then and participated in adult society as much as their mental and physical capabilities allowed. There was no walled playground where they could pretend the world to be some safe utopian paradise.
After the middle ages our society became more complex so the concept of a school to prepare kids came up, so that the general populace would have a basic level of knowledge.then, around the victorian age, some person came up with the concept of the innocent, pure child and the idyllic carefree childhood, and piece by piece the hardships of life were removed from children's eyes. . And that single idea has probably done more harm then good.
Dont know who it was, but some writer of scary stories once said that its good for kids to be scared now and then.
Growing up without being afraid is a poor preparation for a world where you have to live with fear, in a universe where several dozens of things can happen at every instant that will be really, really bad and scary. Denying that doesnt help anyone.
Just like you need to boil a frog slowly or it will jump away, so you must get kids used to the shitstorm out there gradually, tiptoeing into fear or their mind will run.
What we do now is put kids in a walled compound where we paint rosey pictures on the wall and only let nice people in. Then at 16 (or 18 or 21 depends a bit on the region), but usually somewhere around the high school/college time ) we suddenly drag them outside of the rosey painted walls and throw them in the midst of a warzone. All the stuff we taught them (play nice, share stuff, dont lie, dont fight, help eachother, be polite) truns out to be BS and hinder your life instead of helping it. They also go straight from 'when i grow up i want to be a policeman and drive around in a car with loud sirens and catch bad guys!' to having to choose some kind of profession in a world where the job market fluctuates so fast that what you choose today may be obsolete by the time you finish school, and where 'bad guys' are often running banks instead of robbing them.
And we, as parents havent prepared them. Yeah thats when they go and make up their own solutions. I was like that too. If at 16, suddenly it goes from 'care bears' to 'mad max' and suddenly a parent who has been preaching love, kindness and sharing tells you to 'toughen up or you wont make it out there!' some do so, but many say "if 'out there' is that bad then i dont want any part of it! It must change!"
and they are right, but its just not so simple to change it. Otherwise we would have by now. The problem is that the walled utopia we create for our kids imprints them with the idea that there is a a paradise that we can easily create. After all, they were just dragged out of it!
Why kids rebel so much against the strong father figure is because he dargs them out of that safe womb like place and says "playtime is over, summer's gone, now get cracking!" And the nicer and safer that womb was, the more scared and angry the kid will be. The more they will try to crawl back into the womb/playground. or transform the whole universe in a playground, which is impossible. In any case, all the frustrations this creates will be heaped upon the father figure.
Its the whole fall from paradise story. Kids live in the garden like adam and eve. We, as parents are god telling them not to eat the apple. But inevitably they must, and that is what the snake represents. The way the world is demands we know of suffering and 'evil'
But that knowledge ends paradise. What pissed of university sjw kids do is what any sane christian child would do: ask "but if god loves us and didnt want us to eat the apple and leave paradise... why did he put the apple there, why not remove it or put it out of reach? why didnt he just throw out the snake? Hes all powerful isnt he? so why didnt he?"
And so they get pissed ad (god) the father. God created all this, so hes to blame. god placed the apple and the snake in such was way that the eating had to happen eventually. And when they ate, god drove them out of paradise.
Dad(s) created this world and its his/their fault we have to suffer in it.
Daddy says "no" to their childlike desires and feelings and thats the first time they get to hear that really tough word. so they blame daddy, because they cant see that it is actually nature that says the 'no' An d that daddy has actually kept all the no's of nature away from them their whole life and turned them into temporary 'yes' at great costs and sacrifice, but that the time has come where he cant keep doing that..
So to the child it seems like daddy transforms the paradise into hell. They cant see whether the playground is a small walled safe space in a hostile universe, or that the hostile place is one small exception in a safe and gentle playground.
What the kids dont see is that paradise was an illusion the whole time and that al powerful father is just a stumbling wretch doing his best to make the most of it for himself, his family, and the rest of the world.
Instead they make tantrums at the father-god image and scold him for not making a better world, or not listening to their child like ideas about how things could be paradise again. Thats why they run to marxism and reject the picture peterson draws about the soviet union. They dont want to see perfection will be impossible, they just say 'perfection isnt possible nòw, because youre not doing it right' Peterson confronts them with the fact that 'getting it right' is so subjective that anyone attempting it will have a huge chance of making things worse. The kids then think "thats just you. Because youre a bad person I woùld do it right for real" and peterson contradicts that idea too. so yeah, they get quite infuriated, as he is trying to do 20 years of maturation in 20 minutes.
Thats the hate against Peterson in a rather large coconutshell.

My heart breaks for this man because he has actually “seen the truth of it all” he is clearly overwhelmed with pain because he can see the truth of it all.. this pain is pain only suffered by the few who have figured it all out.. so sad that he has offered us so many gifts that can help us heal or manage our life so that our suffering can be a little less to bare.. the cost to him though.... once you see the enormity of our true existence .. if you can face it without the pain killing you then you no doubt will be able to transcend this place.. if he is able to take a breath after knowing the pain and still care enough to share .., man..... what a true hero.. he braved looking at what we all fear... he took those steps, faced the fear and shows the way..
I believe that there is an incredible beauty in pain.....

Jordan is a gift for our time.
There is no one on TH-cam who has JBP's credibility, when you're not ideologically blind, there is no escaping his truth, a gift for our time. As more dirt they throw at Peterson, the more he impresses. He is a rock in heavy waters, does not go for cheap compromises, for shallow peaces, so clear, so strict, but then still heartly, following his own truth, still open for the truth of others, ready to go an extra mile for the others to meet in the middle, so no one is the winner, but an even better truth.
Jordan has the whisdom and knowledge, to see through dusts others are blind. It is in a way surprising, that so many people worldwide see this in Jordan, whereas the so called academics often remain blind.

Same thing happened to me about 11 years ago. Keep your head up and take the time your soul needs to morn and accept and understand your losses. It's hard and often times is at the fault partly of others... Don't have malice for these people or situations as this will only furthermore hold you back and hold you down. It's all real hard but just try to manifest and understand how they universe is helping you manifest yet a better life for yourself than that which you were fixed in and had provided for yourself. Just know that there's better coming and remain a good righteous soul and the light will come to be. As for my situation it's taken me awhile to pick up the pieces and continue in the direction of righteousness, but today I'm trying. Living in the now and doing what I can to help my self in the situations I'm in is the best I can do and the start of excelling past the point I was yesterday. Good luck and keep your soul content with your heart and emotions...

When hearing a message that moves you to understand, to be compassionate to others, or that makes you cry... you have been leased by the truth. When you hear the truth it moves you to be more of what you already are at your core...either good or bad. If you feel stunned after hearing the truth, you should know you are being called to make a choice between who you choose to be. Choosing to be a good person means you need to be strong and responsible because you realize who you are is crucial to what the world is becoming.

      @@williamcolgrave hi there!
I come upon a blog by his daughter who explained in some detail what was happening in her family, clearly feeling it was something we needed to be aware of. I can explain a little here but you would be better informed if you find the blog.
Dr Peterson's wife became gravely ill with an aggressive for of cancer. The family were informed she was terminal. If you are familiar with his life you will know that he fell in love with his wife when they were both children, he said he was eight at the time. You will also know that he, in the past has suffered greatly from depression.
So in order to manage this he went on a course of antidepressants.
Unfortunately he became addicted and needed help.
At the time of his daughters blog her mother was doing well and Dr Peterson's was in rehab.
There was a message from her mom and a little clip of her dad looking very fragile while taking a walk with her using some kind of walker. It was all deeply moving and extremely sad.
Please forgive lack of detail or any incorrect info.

*THIS COMPILATION SHOWS HIS BRILLIANCE AT TEACHING US WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW DEEP DOWN INSIDE - OR SHOULD*
We have lost so much of our common sense and many of us where never taught it in the first place. Our society is so superficial, we are fed this diet of life is SUPPOSED to be HAPPY, carefree, filled with travel to exotic places, new homes, huge fancy weddings, brand new cars, new RV's that cost as much as our house towing a speedboat and ATV behind it.... We are rarely told life has FLEETING happiness, if you have relative peace that's great and likely as good as it gets. Those expensive weddings followed by brand new cars, RV's, ATVs... exotic holidays only come with both of you *RARELY* leaving the incredible stresses of work, never seeing your kids grow up or having the TIME to actually teach them anything. Today people are rarely taught anything, parents are in and out, most dont have the ministers or priests we used to have, our seniors are across the country or so old their in nursing homes or gone. So *WHO* do we *LEARN THE IMPORTANT LESSONS FROM?* School/teachers?? SADLY that is who we spent the bulk of our most important years with and they are not our family, the vast majority are not wise and IF they do teach important things, who are they? Are they screwed up? Are they political radicals? Who's morals/virtues etc.. are they teaching? WHO are they to speak deeply on critical topics that shape who we are?
*IT IS CRITICAL WE HAVE PEOPLE LIKE DR PETERSON WHO IS NOT ONLY TRAINED IN PSYCHOLOGY, BUT WHO IS EXTREMELY WELL READ, A DEEP THINKER, MORAL, KIND* ........*WISE*
People are blessed to have him now, at this most critical time I can think of.

@@chadwalkaden6375 The world just isnt the right place for me.
I am tired of feeling. Tired of living. Everything sucks. Especially in Corona time.
Last year I talked to a suicide hotline. I got one session then the therapist agreed that there is little hope for me and stopped with the "therapy" and wished me all the best.
The homework I got was to talk to a nearby person about my plans. But I didnt. I dont want to get into a psychiatry because I am tired of living.
Instead of that I bought some pills in the internet (Dont want to say the name of the pills, cause somebody could copy it). Thats the reason why the therapist stopped. Guess she was afraid to lower her "safer" percentage and that she was overwhelmed by my negativity.
These pills are illegal in my country so I paid an enormous price for the pills (700 Euro). Dont need to say that I was mucked by the person. I thought there was a big chance to be mucked, but the little chance that I can get those pills was worth the price.
He told me that the police would check my box on the airport if I dont pay another 1600 Euros. Of course I didn't pay that amount, cause I knew this guy was just making money out of miserable people.
After the first shock i kinna felt interested how the police want to charge me because I want to take suicide and not make a train chauffeur unhappy. How on earth are suicide pills forbidden.... but it is okay to ruin a life of another person????
Needless to say all of the story was a lie. I never heard of the police or somebody else.
And then there are those people who say "What an asshole. Jumping in front of a train. Lived as an asshole, died like an asshole. Its not the fault of the poor train driver that you live has become so miserable."
And this is true. But society just want to avoid suicides by making it almost impossible to kill you without enormous violence. So I can not understand why people hate the people jumping in front of a train... cause there is not much left to do if you really want to die.
So I have to change my strategy..... I dont want to jump from a building or in front of a train... I dont want to cause more pain. Not for me, and not for anyone else.
So I am just searching for a peaceful way to die which cause little to no collateral damage. I dont want to be the reason why a train chauffeur becomes anxious or depressive.
But... its getting more and more difficult to take your life cause everything gets "safer". Paracetamol is so light nowadays that you can not get enough into your system to die.
So I read a ton of literature, and I found a way that seems quite peacefully (As peacefully as suicide can get I guess ;) ) and quite secure.

I grew up without having someone to look up too, trying to find a place were I could call home.Today I have a home of my own and For the first time in my life I can't truly say I found someone i can look up too. God bless ur soul and thank you for your advice, for sharing your knowledge ,for the emotion behind your words...for reminding us who we are and the potential we have inside each and every one of us. Thank you !!!!
