The voice and demeanor of Don Knotts' character was a perfect match! I am sure there will never be another exactly like Din but this guy is an excellent replacement.

This reminds me of an episode of Gilmore Girls my ex showed me a long time ago. Gregg Brinkley played this dorky police officer who rode into the town square on his bike. The mayor told him to arrest of bunch or people but he was so under equipped so they mayor just said “forget it! Barney Fife!” 😄😄😄
Gregg Binkley was great. A little too much sniffling, but other than that, an excellent impersonation. It was fun to see him on Vickie Lawrence's show with Don Knotts.
I remember him from the Ed Debevic's '50s-themed diner in Beverly Hills, when he used to "patrol" the tables around the late '80s. A friend was reminiscing about that, so I did some serious googling, and here he is!
