I recently had some body and paint work done on my 2000 S-10. 2.2,stick,2wd,405k. The repro fenders were just so much junk,so they repaired the original fenders off the truck. Was wondering why I was having these issues with the HVAC all of the sudden. Didn't want to be a "well it worked ok before you touched it" person. I had been investigating on YT,a was getting ready to rip it all apart. Your video showed up in the algorithm,almost a day too late. But I popped the hood,and the hose was disconnected from the vacuum canister/reservoir. Hose was still ok,and it was fixed faster than it took me to write this reply. Thank you so very much!
Thank you so much for this video. You saved me so much money! It only cost me $1.57 to get my heater venting through the defrost and through the floor vents. Good explanation...good video. Drove to work enjoying the heat on my legs. When I got there, I learned from a customer the first snowfall was forecast for our area!

Turns out one of the hoses under the hood was disconnected (the one that hooks up to the "tank" near the fender). Surprisingly the tubing was in good shape, so no parts needed! Hard to find informative videos like this, so thanks for posting!
It was the tubing under the hood. Replaced it all and serviced my AC-/leak in the cap. All better now-cool just in time for this record-breaking hot Summer. Thanks for posting this-much appreciated.
Great vid. But I cannot find the nipple for the cannister anywhere unless I remove the abs system. So I just plugged off that end and got enough vacuum to get defrost working again. Thanks for sharing. Ps.if you have an approximate location of the where the loose end goes. Please let me know. Thanks again !

Easy fix! Love it.

That was it, fixed my issue trying to get one on the road that has been sitting since 07
just did this fix in my s10 right after putting in a new blower motor and happy to say I now have a working fan on all settings. Awesome fix.

Where does it lead to on the other side of the motor? Mine broke at that T and I can’t find where it leads
