A Priestess of Nod collaborating with GDI, an extension of the Scrin story, a god damned FPS set in the Tiberium universe that we haven't seen since Renegade, and EA took it away from us. Dumb bastards could've made millions.
And years later, they made a mobile game called "C&C: Rivals" instead of a PC game, they even deleted the trailer of it due to it having way too much disliked.
It's a crime that we'll likely never see Vega, Gallagher, and High Priestess Maja in an actual C&C game. The Tiberium Universe seems so much more deep from this perspective. "Tiberium" seems like it would've done an even better job at Renegade at giving the player a first person view of the C&C Universe.
I look at this intro and its so well interpreted and the body languade, face mimic where so good. The enviroment was adequate...I just don't understand why EA cancelled this. My opinion -> arrogance eglicence\greed

Looks like the timeline is set during the 3rd Tiberium War (So the CNC4 issue isn't really a problem, CNC4 is still sh*t though) sometime before GDI destroy the Scrin Control Node in Ground Zero. Could've been a great tie-in release with CNC3 and the Renegade 2 we never had. *sigh*
Actually, it's set in 2058, which is 11 years after C&C3 (2047) and a few years after Kane's Wrath, which ends with Kane getting the Tacitus in the 2050s and activating the Scrin Tower in Italy, something that leads to what we see in these Tiberium videos. C&C4 didn't exist back then, so it wasn't in the timeline. Although the ending to C&C4 and Tiberium are the same (Kane leaves Earth through the Scrin Tower), as is some of the music (notably "We Rise" from C&C4), Tiberium was cancelled by the time C&C4 came out and it takes place in 2077 (with the exception of C&C4's intro, which takes place in 2062). Since they recycled elements from Tiberium and has a different timeline, it's safe to assume that C&C4 is an "alternate universe" to Tiberium. It's like they went back and ret-conned some of the story.
I agree, this game should have been made but as usual, EA sees something great and cans it... SHEESH! Have all the good companies DIED out or something? Cuz Capcom is the same way... They get rid of their biggest moneymakers "Like Mega Man" and make a lot of half-baked stuff. EA's problem is simple: GREED! They rush something out to get the money coming in on it THEN they charge for DLC. I'm glad that BioWare was AT LEAST somewhat in charge of swtor and can set theor own stuff like DLC stuff. Like their DLC was like 10 bucks for subscribers, right? So they at least gave people who subbed to the game a break... EA probably would NEVER give them a break on any thing... Not even on The Sims stuff. Like Expansion Packs, which are $30 bucks, right? As much as the base game. This honestly should not be... At least in my mind. In my mind, the expansions should be AT LEAST $10 less than the price of the base game because expansion packs just add stuff to the base game, they require that you own the base game to play the expansions thus they aren't a try stand alone (normal game). Therefore, they should ONLY cost about $20 bucks. The Stuff Packs even less so, as they only give you a few items for your Sims houses. Like new living room stuff or maybe stuff for the full house. So, in my mind those should be no more than $10 bucks. but typical EA has to make everything up. Even the DLC venues from the Sims website. Like all the worlds cost at the very least $20 bucks. When they should be NO HIGHER than $10 bucks. That's how badly GREED has infested EA. :( To EA I say, you were a great Company once. You can be again if you shake off that Green-eyed monster of GREED and start making great games again at reasonable prices.

Tiberium was cancelled because part of the dev team was replaced a couple of times. In the end, the dev team wasn't able to work with the programming created by the original dev team. So instead of rewriting the game or bringing back the original dev's, they decided to cancel it.
The reason why EA didn't continue this is because they first needed to end the GDI vs NOD thing so that they can focus on GDI vs Scrin. That is why they made a rush game called C&C 4: Tiberian Eclipse.
even after all these years i still want to play this. and i may be the minority but i actually think their armor & helmets look pretty cool and unique. i like the technologically advanced look
Excellent music and voice acting, it's refreshing to hear some other accents. Visuals needed some polishing but it's a damn shame that management decided to give up instead.
This was not C&C cheesiness they normally do, I mean you can tell they put alot of effort just into that one scene because even the music was good. Of course they had to keep the hot officer or the a chick that has an accent but hot damn this was a damn sight better than Renegade. If they need to time to incorporate this into the C&C universe that is fine but I am going to be thoroughly pissed if they don't pick this up after Tiberium Twilight.
i found this and i never knew renegade 2 was being made Personally I enjoyed the first Command & Conquer FPS called Renegade (2002). But when Tiberium was announced I always kept in mind that Renegade 2 (based in the Red Alert universe) was also in development and cancelled by EA.

EA is working on c&c FPS in cryengine 3 maybe... it was in Slovakia s game page and i believe there will be Tiberium in future.They cancelled it because of: 1. c&c 4 to fit in story line 2. because cryengine3 3. there were too many thinks to do, ra3, kanes wrath and at thet time they were working on c&c4
@masatje Not hypocrisy, greed. They didn't get enough money from the franchise anymore, they murder it with Tiberian Twilight and cut the expenses on paying the team to support both games post-release by firing them all.
They knew there were aliens races out there, due to GDI's knowledge of the Tassadus(I butchered the name, deal with it.), and the Skrin ship that crashed back in the first C&C and had stuff happen in the second C&C. Also they mention the tower, I think this has something to do with the 3rd war though.

And this was all ingame? It's not revolutionary, but it's better scripted and better camera work than CCTwilight. I think EA should rethink the cancellation. It's ironic, CC95 was filmed in a garage with a greenscreen but didnt look like it was. CCTwilight was filmed on a full set, but it felt like it was shot in a garage.
This brings ters to my eyes :(, if only they could polish a bit more graphics, i would love to play it only for the story no matter if the game was good or bad shooter
