D&D Icons of the Realms, Dragonlance, Shadow of the Dragon Queen, Pre-Painted Miniatures, Preview

- A quick preview of this new, pre-painted, Dungeons & Dragons, Dragonlance miniature set to be released on February 15, 2023. This set is made by WizKids, and is part of the D&D Icons of the Realms line of miniatures.
This preview gives a quick glimpse at all 49 miniatures included in this set, and also the 4 promotional miniatures which are part of this release. I filmed the miniatures on WarLock Tiles Dungeon terrain which is not included as part of this set. I have also include a few comparison photos of other similar miniatures for a few of the feature miniatures in this set.
Can’t wait to see that greater death dragon! Will be my favorite in my collection especially with the lord as a mount! The young one will have to do for now. Thanks for the showcase video they help a lot in deciding which minis I want for my collection.
Thanks for getting this out so quickly! Any word about a Collector's Set? I remember the collector's set for Fizban's was revealed quite late
There has been no indication that a collector's set will be offered at this time. Additionally a review of WizKids' solicit's calendar also does not reflect that any collector set has been planned. This is a common question though, so I will reach out to WizKids to confirm what their current status is with the collector sets in general.

I would LOVE to buy the Fizban collectors box but ooooh not alliwed.. Just because I dont live in the US. Heck even I can buy the Rusty Dragon Inn collectors box for Pathfinder for like.. 200 bucks.

Im kinda obsessed with getting more dragonborns( Topaz, Crystal gem especially ), Gem dragons and dream to sees and hold in my hands the 4e' ( still canon and yeah 4e had good things besides the trash) Brown and Grey dragon for the upcoming Sand and Stone set, would be PERFECT! Also missing chromatic dragons from say dragon magazine#65. Yellow, Orange, Purple ( no, Deep dragon is a separate neighbour underground cousin ). Not least missing Gem and Metallics like Ryby, Obsidian, Steel, Adamantine etc
I have played Dragonance for years and one thing these sets (and all sets prior) related to Krynn need is LOTS of draconian minions and less minis of other races. Not draconians bosses, just minions. Baaz minions, Bozak, aurak kapak and sivak minions. The draconian warband look like they're all the main characters of a draconian movie (Tom Sivak Cruise, Leonardo aurak dicaprio, etc) only one of each is necessary. We need the generic ones (the doubles and extras of the movies), the bulk of the army of the dragonlords. AND all of them common (and cheaper too, I can't express that point enough). Other than that, the set is cool, specially the kender, the ogre (a true minion ogre) the horse and the dragon rider. AND Takhisis of course.

Thanks a lot Kor! :) I gotta admit some of the common NPCs don't look bad, especially the banjo-playing Human and the Qualinesti Elf. I might buy a brick and hope I get these. I also want at least 2 of these Wights to flank the SKT one that holds the human head in his hands. :D Really like Leedra too, nice use of translucent purple.

Thank you for the explanation on how to obtain the promo's. I know Takhisis was detailed but Lord Soth was not.
I hav this war horse but I hav several others I cheated bought some clear bases went to micheals craft store they hav a whole tube in the tube toy section that r very nice sculpts and pre painted I just glued them to the bases and they r to scale for d&d 👍 😉
Would have hoped for some oddball minis wizkids loves to throw into any set. Like Gem dragons+ dragonborns ( Nolzur make them unpainted transparent please )And dont share the theme of the set. Like how they excluded the awesome Gem wyrmlings from the Fizban set but shoved in blights, brain in a jar an other nonsense. Not sure if Wizkids is to blame, if they are the ones that selected the sets minis from the Fizban ToD book.
There are a few in this set. The Purple Worm eggs, the Behir, green dragon and black dragon rider all don't show up in the adventure at all.
They try to include some minis that incentivize people to want to get it still, regardless of wanting Dragonlance minis or not!
Great review! Are you able to advise numbers wise on the minis where the cut off is between standard booster boxes and the huge booster box. Curious which boxes would contain which miniatures
Can confirm here that the last normal booster mini is 40, the Gnomeflinger.
41 - 49 are from the Super boosters, with 48 and 49 (Young Black Dragon and Dragon Rider) being together as one.
Damn! I've been waiting for someone to unbox these. You got them really fast, did you order from Wizkids or did they send you one set?
WizKids provided these to us as a marketing sample.

Dragonlance Kansaldi on Red Dragon figure where?
That miniature is a separate premium figure which I do not currently have.
@@minisgallery i just got mine in the mail today. Ordered back in August.i have no idea how to put the rider on her. She is a beautiful dragon though. Funny enough the base says young red dragon
Do The super booster boxes only come with 2 minis?
Yes, they only contain 2 huge-sized miniatures.
@@minisgallery thanks. Is that the only way to get the Black Dragon rider, or can they be in a regular booster?
@@ormwoden9311 The Black Dragon Rider and the Young Black Dragon come packaged together, so the only way you could get the Rider, is to buy a booster that happens to contain the Young Black Dragon miniature. However, I have occasionally seen online stores and e-bay sellers, to sell detachable mount miniatures like these separately, so that might also be an option for you.
