Appreciate your support and service...
A few years ago, I began learning how to hand knot Persian style carpets, and started my own carpet.
Because of my research, I have been able to watch this video and associate the "Ruj" with the European "dent" in the weaving process. I have never actually counted the knots per cm, but I do have 16 knots per inch. If I calculate correctly, that gives me somewhere between a 40 - 45 Ruj.
I feel that is not too bad for someone just learning about Persian carpets.
Greetings. do you ship to Malaysia Bro?
Hi,
I ship globally and have had clients in Malaysia as well. Visit MPrugs.com for more information and feel free to email me any questions you may have.
how do you import these? is it legal to bring them into the U.S.?
I take the videos at my family's wholesale business in Germany when I here. Most of our business is in Europe, which has nothing to do with the US...
@@mprugs thanks for the reply! I was so curious! Amazing video and these rugs are becoming so fascinating to me! I love how the organic dyes from flowers and other natural materials are combined with wool and silk to artistically recreate in permanent forms their ephemeral counterparts. There's something so profound about the concept, the process and the result. Please keep these videos coming, I'm becoming addicted!
Wish i get it ☺️
Hi, I have a very unique Tabriz Rug 6 meter x 4 Meter. I need your help in appraising it and selling It.
Maybe I'm counting wrong, but I tried to count the knots on the website from three different 50raj and I only got 38 knots on each. Can we get a video actually showing the counting and maths?
Hi,
Count the knots over 1 inch and square the number. 1 inch equals 2,54cm in case you are outside the US. Hope this helps.
Most Muslims don't know Quran refer to rugs of Tabriz & Azerbaijan in Surat Al-Ghashiyah verse 16 " وَزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ" ="Wa zaraabiyyu mabsoosah", Imam Ibn Ashour said in his tafseer: "Zaraabiyuu plural of Zourbiya which means carpet or rug , It's named Zourbiya after Azerbaijan"
Good rugs have at least 100 raj. Not 40
If you want to understand the drawing you can't understand with watching
Just learn Tazhib( Taz_hib) It's old Persian drawing(ancient Persian drawing)
These are beautiful rugs but I personally prefer Nain Persian rugs.
Hi,
I actually agree with you and my favorites are the 6-Lah Nain rugs with the Gonbad design. It's funny how many who saw the Tabriz rug video mention the Nain rugs and those who saw my video about the Nain rugs comment about the Tabriz rugs.
Take care...
Well, conesseaures have other prefernces, where "raj has no implemting meaning ..
trv must be instantaneous
what is a "RUDGE" ?
Hi,
A Raj is roughly 7cm, which is an old Persian measuring term. In Tabriz rugs, the quality like 50 or 60 Raj means that the rug has a certain number of knots per raj (7cm).
Hope this helps...
@@mprugs Thank you. Just beginning to learn about what I want to walk on. :)
@@strangevintageyeah6674 Glad to be of help...
Enjoy the walk :)
Probably Persian carpets can be equivalent to Bentley's, because Azerbaijan carpets equivalent to Rolls Royce 😅👍
Tabiriz is 6th larges city in Iran not the second !!
Tabriz and PERSIAN🤔
tabriz is the 4th populated city in iran(after tehran, mashhad & isfahan)
Actually Tabriz is 5th. Karaj is the 4th populated city with 1,615,000 inhabitants
Tabriz turk sity no persiyan
Tabriz is Iran city
No prsisn no tabriz azarbaycan=turk
These are belongs to the Turks, as you say Tabriz
The Achaemenid Empire owned the land way before individual modern Turkic cultures. The oldest surviving structures of the city are from the Sasanian Empire. Tabriz has been occupied by other empires for ~300 years versus 2200 years of Persian ownership.
@@ShaneyElderberry The Achaemenids are immigrants, as they have written in history
We both know the older Turkic peoples were extremely nomadic, relative to the early empire building civilizations.
Very nice carpets,🧶🪡 too really
Good show but not a good quality sound.🦨
