Building a Forge

- Here I explain how I made my Forge. Below is a list of the parts I used from the Union to the box. Forge box is 7.25" high x 18.25" long x 9.25" wide using 1/8" plate and 1/8" angle iron.
Parts List: (12) 9" x 4.5" x 1.25" thick fire bricks, Collars - (3) 1.5" od & 1.125" id x 1.5" tall. Set screws - 1/4" nuts and 1/4" bolts. Down pipes - (3) 10" x 3/4" nipples. Bell reducers - (3) 1.5" x 3/4", bottom strap is 1/8" thick x 1" wide x 8.5" long, top strap is 1.25" wide x 3/8" thick x 11.25" long. Bolts between straps are 3.5" long x 1/4". Brass fittings included: (3) 1/8" npt x 1" long nipple, (3) - .030" mig welding tips, (3) 1/8" female npt x 1/4" male npt reducer, (3) 1/4" female npt x 3/8" npt male reducer, (3) 3/8" brass ball valves, (3) 3/8" npt x 3/4" nipples, (2) 3/8" brass elbows, (2) 3/8" npt x 3.5" steel nipples, (1) 3/8" female cross ( 4 way), (1) 3/8" street ell, (1) 3/8" x 1.5" npt nipple, (1) 3/8" npt female x 1/2" npt male reducer, & (1) 1/2" galv. union npt.
