In one of those little text things at the bottom, they mentioned that it had a direct to video sequel that was more kid focused and the kangaroo was the main character. Maybe you watched that one and got the 2 mixed up in your memory?

While it was raining on road trips as a kid, my dad would yell 'OFF' right as we were heading under an overpass or bridge then 'ON' as we came out the other side, and for a good few years as a little kid, I genuinely believed my dad could control the rain.

We went to Wookie Hole caves as little kids, and they had some attraction with a dragon. For years one of our parents' friends would tell my little brother the dragon was following us around, always just out of sight or disguised as something.
Also my dad took me to see a parade once. Every time we went back to that city I'd get excited, thinking we were going to see another one. He'd just stand on a corner with me for a while and tell me we were watching a "car parade".
Oh and I went to a very rural primary school, but my secondary school was in a city. At primary school everybody called secondary school "college", for some reason. I actually asked my form tutor "isn't this college?" when I got there. I was such a bumpkin

well, around a month ago when they hit 10'000 subs (and started getting recommended in peoples feeds like crazy,) they were supposed to have the 10k special be uploading the _never before shown_ first video they recorded. No laughs, no drinks, just stale sterile facts.
In a video when they were at around 15k the end-bit Karl's friend asks him why it isn't released.
He just tells him to f*ck off.
      Goddamn, I love this channel.
      - Point being it could be the 100k special instead

So this movie was showing when I took a greyhound bus back in 03 and literally the whole bus groaned. Just terrible. Nothing entertaining or redeemable. Can't believe Anthony Anderson was in the Departed after this mess. How did Scorsese hire that guy?

I went to see this movie when I was a kid- I think I even saw it in theaters- and was bored to tears. XD I remember I spent the whole movie thinking, "Okay, all this boring 'adult' stuff is happening. When is the Kangaroo going to talk?" Then when it turned out that the kangaroo only really talks during one segment I was super disappointed. Tried to rewatch it some time ago and can't say it was any better as an adult.

When I was a kid, whenever my grandma and I would leave a place to go back home, she would say "get the straight" in like straight path home, but I always assumed whatever this straight thing was it was a physical and invisible object and I would pretend to catch it and happily wave a closed fist to my grandma as if it was in my hand.

I had a copy of this movie, and snow dogs too. I used to watch them when I was younger, and was always disappointed there were so few scenes of the kangaroo and the dogs. Though snow dogs was fun without the talking dogs too. The dogs were cute.

Oh my god this video blew my mind... I remember seeing the advertisements for this movie for what felt like forever and seeing the billboards at my local grocery store and everything. Never had any clue what it really was.
It reminds me of a Jackie Chan film me and my friend saw at a movie store once that blew our mind, there were two copies and they both had the same title but one looked exactly like some kind of young adult crime caper, and the other copy was 100% a little kids movie all about a baby saving the day or something. They literally made two copies of the box and each one was targeting a different group to try and lure them in to buying the movie!
