Haha, Give it a try and I bet you can come up with a lot more decorative patterns or ways to use these. :-). After we finished the video, I thought of a couple more I was kicking myself that we could have tried, haha. Thanks for watching!!
I just love you so much❣️Bravo❣️👏👏👏 I have a hair appointment this morning - I’ll see if my hairdresser has any old hair color applicators she wants to get rid of❣️ I’m always delighted with your techniques, your creativity, your generosity when it comes to sharing your amazing talents❣️ Thank you so much❤❣️
Hi K! Thank you so much for the kind words and for watching our videos!! I didnt think about asking a hairdresser for the old applicators!! Brilliant!!! Great tip!! Happy potting to you
Great idea but actually I do two firings. I do all my decorating at the greenware stage, then bisque fire it, then glaze and fire it again. If you try to "once" fire it, it can get tricky. The piece is so fragile that it can fall apart during glazing or if you fire it too quickly in one shot, it can also come apart. Some people do prefer a once firing though. Just depends
Absolutely brilliant! You and your Jim just made me chuckle & reminded me of me & my husband Eddie; we used to have a blast together and great banter, lol , God rest his soul! 😁☮❤
As a newbie potter, you are inpirational! For more very reasonable textures, there are many online tiles stores that will send you samples (many full sized) for $1 to $5.
Awesome video! Someone already said it, but the first thing I wrote on my note pad was, “Jim sure does have a good eye, the black dots were spot on!” Y’all are a great team. Ann, you’ve got my mind spinning with ideas. Thank you so much for sharing!!
Loved this video! A couple of questions. What kind of clay you used, the cone you bisqued to, & the clear glaze brand & cone you fired to (zinc free I imagine). I ask because I have just assembled my 1827g gas kiln in my yard after 13 years in my basement & have Fired it 2 times before. I'm going to order some under glazes as you used here, get bottles as you've used, do some transfers, & fire it up before the snow flies! I am going to get Diamond Core tools & do carving -- but my things have been dry for 5 years or more, lol This solves my current issue & has really inspired me! A peace sign, anything can be done w this! I've read tons of things about this, but no one- NO ONE made this as simple, easy, and inspiring as you did! THANK YOU! Enjoy your coffee!❤😁☮☯️🐛🦋
Hey Diane - many of my specs are in the description below the video -check it out. The clear glaze I use is typically Amaco C-11. The clay in this video is a little different than my porcelain - I used Standard 240 White grog - 95% of the time I'm using Standard Porcelain #365
@@LittleStreetPottery Thank you so much! I see now; Everything is plainly listed. Also went to your website link and love the under glaze lessons - butter dish, etc. Well done!
@@dianeuranowski3694 Awesome Diane!!! I get a lot of questions about how i underglaze paint, so Jim and I came up with those very detailed workshops. Let me know if you have any questions about them :-). Have a great day!
Hey Rachael! Good to hear from you. As far as the tips go, Jim put links to them in the description. Second, the paper is just cheap packing paper I got at Lowes. Go for it Rachael! .
Hi Sefkat. Most any underglaze can be used for this technique. Personally, when I am doing my underglaze painting, Amaco Velvets are what I use for that. Thanks so much for watching!! Happy potting
I tried this technique when you put out the hummingbird plate video. I think that my clay was too dry so transfer wasn’t as easy as it looks in your video and I used a smaller tool than the rubber kidney, but it did work
If you take a damp sponge and pounce it over the transfer and then if it is not transferring continue to dampen the back of the paper by pouncing, that seems to work great. Im glad you figured out a way to make it work for you though. Thanks for watching our videos and happy potting to you!
Could I be more creative than you, Ann? In my dreams!

You do awesome work, Ann.
Love that you used your different tips and made underglaze transfers.

Well you've gone and done it again. Thank you for taking the time to show us.
Yeah! I am so glad you liked it. Thanks for watching Postal!
J'adore tout vos vidéos, j'apprends beaucoup, un gros merci
So good videoes
Do you use both underglaze and transparent glaze before burning. A good idea so you can save energy by burning only once

These are really fun!! 💜
Geniune very nice.
Any tips to keep the wet paper from sticking as you pull it off? Thanks Anne!
I did not run into that problem - perhaps you need a heavier paper?
what is the tiny single line applicator you used with black underglaze? It's fantastic
That is a "slip trailer" - any pottery supply and amazon will have those. Thanks!
I was wondering what transfer paper you used and what different brands of the applicator tips you thought worked the best ? Thanks
Hey Rachael! Good to hear from you. As far as the tips go, Jim put links to them in the description. Second, the paper is just cheap packing paper I got at Lowes. Go for it Rachael!

Now heading Amazon to look for these…wonder if this would work with Mayco Stroke and Coat glazes
Great idea Emily!!! I hadnt thought of that! Give it a go!!! Thanks for watching!

Thanks, great video… cannot wait to try! What’s the black stuff you put on your wheel?
Not sure what black stuff you are referring to...could it be just that I'm cleaning the bat and its black underneath?
@@LittleStreetPottery ok thanks for replying 👍🏻

What kind of paper do you use for the transfers? Do you fully dry them before the transfer?
Just packing paper - yep, dry.
I am heading out to try to find some multi tips... trying Sally Beauty supply 1st...
Where can I find the caps for sale?
