I'm a Truck Driver I've used these for 4 years on mountain passes out west love them very important do not use on dry pavement it will destroy them quickly.
I ve been using this for 3 winter now in Canada. Excellent performance and I go with Upto 40 miles per hour - no problem. No noise at all. Make sure buy right size for your tires
My Porsche never managed to get stuck in snow. But I have higher clearance, thinner tyres and a designated Winter tyre set.... and a lot less wait. But on your model and the rarity of snow/ice in your area; I believe these snow socks are a great option. Especially when compared to chains. In Canada (in Quebec), you can (I don’t have) ...also have studded tyres - which change the capabilities of any vehicle on ice/snow (mostly ice). Also, nobody really notices a Honda/Ford/Toyota/etc. getting stuck in snow. But with a Porsche (and my past 7-series) literally everybody (mostly jealous people) .. notice. These snow socks appear to be a great light-weight option. Thanks Brad (and Y-tube girlfriend), for another light hearted video.
Thankfully I live in Seminole, Florida. But our beloved hometown Bucs did win the Super Bowl and they said that would happen when Hell froze over, so I guess it is a possibility and I should look into these.
I've used my AutoSocks for 3 winters now. They work great. No holes in mine at all. Once the pavement starts to show, I pull into the nearest parking lot and easily pull them off. At this point, my AllSeason tires are good enough.
I bought a set as your video persuaded me that with a nice car with low pro tyres - snow chains can just damage those expensive alloys. I doubt if I'll get stuck in the south of the UK but I know with these in the car it will cope with whatever we have here. Thanks - good video!
in some vids I keep hearing they don't work on ice if they are already matted with snow. I live in MI and we get real snow 4 to 6 inches easily even with a light storm and way more that that in a big one (I also get lake effect snow) so we have snow packed roads and some ice here and there at the same time I just want to make sure on ice these won't do worse than my regular tires, I have front wheel drive too
What is 10" of snow in your video would be 4-6" max in Northern Illinois! But I agree that those ribbed tire condoms improved traction in the snow. Cool product.
Thanks for this video man, been looking at getting these for my fwd audi. This is all I needed to see to pull the trigger. The way I see it, even if they only last a few uses theyre much cheaper than chains and can get you out of a situation where you may otherwise be stranded. Not being stranded is worth the 50 bucks all day long!
You can also try a Tire Grip Spray, eBay and Amazon has...it's a spray can, creates a sticky rubber layer on tire tread, enough to drive about 50 miles, very handy, I used that as well, worked like a champ ✌
Great vid. Glad to know there is a nonchain option. They would come in handy if you were out somewhere and was unexpectedly hit with a snow storm. Fortunately you've got the extra ground clearance. :)
Used them and worked very well on front wheel drive Mazda, got it on Amazon for 100$, most expensive socks I ever had 🙂 There is a size chart for different wheel sizes, so choose the correct one before purchase, it's not like one universal size ✌
Not trying to troll your comment bro, because it is true but sad you would have to point that out - different sizes. Be just like getting chains - different sizes. Same for tires or rims, themselves. Or anything really. What I mean is - people - if you need something - make sure it will work/fit your particular application/need! Don't buy anything blindly! Cheers...
AutoSocks are pretty good on but not always better than chains. On the tv show Highway Thru Hell(Big tow trucks get people unstuck on an extremely snowy and icy highway on a mountain) and someone used the AutoSocks and couldn't get up, while others were able to get up using chains. It just depends on the situation and the place you live
how the fluff did you manage that with that wheel arch clearance? i have michelin easy grip but the net thingies are so stiff i cant put them on properly as i cant fit my arms in the arches, doesnt even work on the front tyre
Trillions like and best comment for you because you are best on Earth and follower respect you,we need videos in Real 120fps or 240fps 4K,8K and Sound in FullHD Surrounded.
I think the rubbing the snow and ice just rolling and building up on thread. Pretty neat didn't think they would last one trip, Pretty cool miss the Snow ❄☃️it's awesome 🙋👍 🏎🏁
I might try to convince my older brother to get a pair of those Brad. Shoot I might buy some too for my 2003 Toyota Camry LE if I were to drive in deep snow as appose to having to drive my father's 2010 Toyota Highlander that is 4WD. Not a bad car but the visibility was something I had to get use too.
Fwd cars can get away with just a single pair but on a rwd you really ought to have a 2nd pair for the front - eg the wheels that do the steering and most of the braking
when you see some of the other people's videos of them using these particular socks especially on jagged ice it tears holes through them chains are a pain in the ass but they are the best bet in my opinion the socks are great for fresh powder but not in a situation where it goes snow and then bear concrete they tear up too easily that's been my experience
It saved me a lot of times during my winter drive to the mountain with heavy snow and icey condition. It works better than my chain. You need to drive with a light foot to avoid spinning. Once you spin, you loose traction and you destroy the socks quickly.
good ol state of Washington where the the drivers cant figure out snow even though it happens every year or two and it gets worse and worse as more cali people move here, those socks are fricken sweet tho, same with the 911
Really only useful for "emergency use"... lasted me 5 or 6 uses (less than a month). First use was a life-saver; got caught on a heavy snow dump, other cars were spinning out, stuck. I got home okay. They worked fine on a Snowboarding trip up canyons and mtn roads (going 30 mph at most), but the wear and tear happens quickly. By the 5th or 6th use they were just rags hanging around my tires. Bought CHAINS in the middle of the trip.
You know what else works good.... proper winter tires where you don't have a speed limit you should stay under oh and also you will have front end grip when turning as you can tell when you were turning around. Sounds like this is just a sad attempt at advertising.
Okay, everyone is ignoring this and pretending it not to be true, but it's a fact and needs to be said: that's a shitty car. It looks good, but its usefulness is extremely lacking. Tiny trunk, low clearance, oversized wheels, oversized engine... If you want to actually drive somewhere for real, this car is not a good option.
Brad has a Jeep and an all wheel drive 911. It snows and he decides to take out the rwd one 💪💪
Xd facts time to drive around
Also rear engine tho ,so.......
@@james.d.8044 that’s what he said lol
Tina the Jeep isn't Brad's its TH-cam girlfriend'$
His last name isn't "Danger" for no reason!

what the durability? im sure if you have minimal aspahalt contact they last a while.
My Porsche never managed to get stuck in snow. But I have higher clearance, thinner tyres and a designated Winter tyre set.... and a lot less wait. (Autocorrect- my ‘87 Carrera has a lot less WEIGHT (not ‘wait’)).
Thankfully I live in Seminole, Florida. But our beloved hometown Bucs did win the Super Bowl and they said that would happen when Hell froze over, so I guess it is a possibility and I should look into these.
other people: imma keep my car inside for the winter
brad: lets goooo
LOVE IT! Also, totally know that neighborhood lol. You live like 2 houses down from my Aunt & Uncle haha
I've used my AutoSocks for 3 winters now. They work great. No holes in mine at all. Once the pavement starts to show, I pull into the nearest parking lot and easily pull them off. At this point, my AllSeason tires are good enough.
As a northern lower Michigan resident I will definitely be looking into a set of these. That's just a typical weekday of snow here though 🍻
I bought a set as your video persuaded me that with a nice car with low pro tyres - snow chains can just damage those expensive alloys. I doubt if I'll get stuck in the south of the UK but I know with these in the car it will cope with whatever we have here. Thanks - good video!
I just got them. I live on a horrible ice snow road that can’t be plowed. Have 4 W drive Jeep. Put on rear wheels. Work great!
in some vids I keep hearing they don't work on ice if they are already matted with snow. My wife says that you must have been using man inches when measuring the depth of the snow!! Lol!!
Because driving a 911 makes so much more sense than driving a jeep of any model.....
Thanks for the review. I just bought a pair for my Subaru. :-)
What is 10" of snow in your video would be 4-6" max in Northern Illinois! But I agree that those ribbed tire condoms improved traction in the snow. Cool product.
Hahahaha tire condoms 😂😂
The look on the guys with the audi was amazing
Thanks for this video man, been looking at getting these for my fwd audi. This is all I needed to see to pull the trigger. Really 50?!
Damn it's showing 200 for me

Great product, looks very functional. Your ice skating technique is needing work---LOL LOL
I have a BMW X3. Used them on the front wheels, no problem with traction but also the steering at braking were decent as well.
Great Video I loved it!!!
Nice to see you adventure out in any weather with that Porsche, kinda like a mailman! Haha
impressive...
This 911 is sweet! I saw it outside school today, everyone was talking about it!
i love that car i might make one like that when i have enough money
I'm definitely getting a pair for my Camry and leaving them in the trunk so when it snows I'm driving my Camry like I stole it, 😂😂😂
Used them and worked very well on front wheel drive Mazda, got it on Amazon for 100$, most expensive socks I ever had 🙂 There is a size chart for different wheel sizes, so choose the correct one before purchase, it's not like one universal size ✌

You guys having snow it's hot inJamaica 🇯🇲
Wow, those are impressive!
best test ever, thx mate

Your video is very helpful, thank you
I love ur safari Porsche
Wow nice auto socks they actually work is a good items to have when visiting the north area thanks
@2:15 just need to at "don't-ya-know"
how the fluff did you manage that with that wheel arch clearance? i have michelin easy grip but the net thingies are so stiff i cant put them on properly as i cant fit my arms in the arches, doesnt even work on the front tyre
LOVE THE INTRO!!
Ideal tool for the job😁

What the hell is that big square thing on your roof?
Is the Porsche lifted? What tire and suspension serup
I hope ideal team has an ideal day just like we do after watching an ideal vid
#ideal vid
#ideal mood
#ideal day
Is that Porsche built our for Overlanding?
Snow socks works great at the deep winter. It's like to drive a tripper car on snow
Would it help to put them on all 4 tires?
Are those Mud/Terrain or Snow Tires in the first place?
Thought I was gonna see some snow drift, donuts s burnout
I have a mustang is rear traction do i need socks for my front stirring to or u only need them for the back traction
Only on the drive wheels. So in your case, the rear wheels.
I might try to convince my older brother to get a pair of those Brad. Better than this, as well as AWD are snow tires.
nice vid bro

That’s awesome
Is this better than the Snowsocks? Or are they pretty much the same?

Awesome vid! How long did they last?
Great vids
Why wouldn't you put them on your front tyres?
good ol state of Washington where the the drivers cant figure out snow even though it happens every year or two and it gets worse and worse as more cali people move here, those socks are fricken sweet tho, same with the 911
Better tell the folks that once you are not on snow any longer you have to take them off. Streets will shred them.
Why would you want to drive a Porche in the snow?
do the fat tires effect your handling negatively on asphalt ?
Hint, buy winter tyres
I cant really believe that they work so good or how they actually work.
Can u talk about the holden commodore ss v
What porsche color is this 911?
im guessing buying snow tires would be redundant if i buy the socks?
Takes nice car out in the snow. Me: Hmm, salt
Those work great on my Dad's car too
How fast can you drive with those auto socks
Hey buddy there called winter tires in want to drive in snow msg from your friend in Canada.
Brad can you do a video on how to drive manual
Lmao she is to busy texting her boyfriend
Does driving on a cleared bit of road damage them? Anyone know?
They won't last long on bare tarmac. But they're easy to take off and put back on.
Yes, recommend for snow covered roads. Contact with pavement will tear them to shreds.
Florida man here. What’s that white stuff on the ground?
Big offroad looking tires on a rwd 911……..
I had to watch my lil bro
Why do you never drive 996
Really only useful for "emergency use"... lasted me 5 or 6 uses (less than a month). First use was a life-saver; got caught on a heavy snow dump, other cars were spinning out, stuck. I got home okay. I 💘 ideal
You are lazy like me, and just drive over the snow in the drive way lol.
Allterrains don’t work on snow.
POV: you’re early but don’t know what to say :/
Ahem....
Ideal for the win.
Early for the first time 😀
That is obscene levels of snow!!!
Its a Porsche, so were already screwed.
Woah
Get a divorce
You know what else works good.... proper winter tires where you don't have a speed limit you should stay under oh and also you will have front end grip when turning as you can tell when you were turning around. Sounds like this is just a sad attempt at advertising.
you did not show the product, the brand and model ...it would have been better if you showed it properly.
Anybody tried those on EV? I suspect the high torque will tear them to shreds quickly.
Just step on the go pedal softly...?
JUST when I though he couldn’t add more rice, he does
Kudos to brad for owning the most riced 997 911 on the face of the earth
Dude really its a 911 no Matter what you do to it its a 911 drive TH-cam girlfriend jeep in the snow 😂🤣😂😂
First to say not first
