I mean the pictures literally look way better by comparison vs the ones taken with my phone, which is supposed to have a 50MP sensor and it's supposed to be Motorola's cutting edge camera.
Hello, I shot this on a Nikon D5200, which does have an external Mic socket. You are right to say that the 4000D doesn't have an external Mic socket, so you can either record with the internal Mic - which isn't too bad - or record separately, perhaps on a mobile phone app or a field recorder.
Hello, what’s your opinion about the 4000D as a second camera to be converted to full spectrum and be used in the field of IR photography? I wouldn’t use it beyond 400 or 800 iso, only manual or aperture priority mode and no shutter speed required. Just for landscape photography or architectural photography in IR or false colors. I’d use only light lenses as the 18-55 and the Canon 24 f2.8 STM which I already own. I don’t think to attach heavier lenses but, suppose I want a 16-35 f4, can the plastic attach hold it? Thank you in advance, Fabrizio
Is good for short film/ spot or videoclip? I Don't have much Money but for 100 can i buy Canon 2000d? Which Is Better? 4000d and Money o spend all for 2000d?
There is really not much difference, but I would buy the 2000D. You can shoot video clips with both cameras, but neither have and external Mic socket, so you either need to rely on the internal Mic (which is actually pretty good), or record sound separately.
Yes this camera can take excellent portraits. You will probably want to look at a prime lens, which will give you better quality images. As this is a crop frame camera, you could start off with the 50mm f1.8 stm lens..
I'm a PhD student in Classical Archaeology and I'm looking for a DSLR camera for my thesis and excavations. Is the Canon 4000D good for such purposes ? I want to make pictures for my thesis, articles and annual reports of excavations.
Yes, it is ideal for that. You will probably be ok with the 18-55mm kit lens for most things, but if you want to photograph details or close up pictures, you might want to look for a macro lens - this video might help: th-cam.com/video/JfzcWAwRmzE/w-d-xo.html
the top one is the HDMI Mini Out Terminal: This socket allows you to attach an HDMI cable to your television to see your videos and stills. But you cannot download your pictures or videos. the one below is the Digital Terminal: This socket allows you to print directly from camera or download your pictures onto a computer with the connecting lead that is supplied with the camera.
Yes it would be fine for wedding photography. Usually you would have at least two camera bodies and a mix of lenses. The 4000D sensor is plenty good enough to produce good images. I probably wouldn't shoot primary video on it, though, because it doesn't have an external mic socket, but B-roll would be ok.
I am interested in this camera and are new to dslr and I had a couple of questions that you might be able to answer for me. The first one being that since there is not a remote shutter option for this would having a timer set do almost the same thing? Avoiding the movement of the camera is why the shutter cable would be preferred right? The second question is what is the battery life like on this? Thank you.
Hello, Yes the Canon 4000D does have set timers, so you can delay the shot for 2 seconds, or 10 seconds. It also has a multi shot option so you can delay for 10 seconds and then take up to 10 shots. In terms of battery life, I think it is pretty good. Officially it will run to 500 shots. My experience is that you can easily have the camera shooting stills for an afternoon, say 4 hours, ( bearing in mind that you can have it on timed auto off) or get 40 mins of video. Remember, shooting video uses the LCD screen and that will use more juice than just shooting through the viewfinder.
It's quite difficult to find out the exact info for this card isn't it? I would say that provided the card is either a SDHC or SDXC card, you should be fine.
to be honest, there is not much difference between the 4000D, the 1300D or the 2000D - al are good basic cameras. The Nikon D3500 is very good too and also similar. The next level up, the Nikon D5600 and the Canon T7i, for example have flip screens and external mic sockets but the image files size are the same etc...

Or do I need to purchase any extra lenses or accessories or possibly look for a bundle somewhere? I don’t know much about this kind of stuff I appreciate it if you could take the time to help! :) thanks for the video!
If you buy the kit lens with the body, you will be able to take decent pictures in most situations straight away. However the kit lens is a starter lens and if you want to specialise ( macro photography or wildlife photography, for example) then you will want to look at getting some different lenses. But if you want to shoot family pictures or holiday pictures the kit lens will be fine. You will also need a memory card - a sdxc card. 16gb memory would be fine.
@@NikonD5200Channel I like landscape photography so I’m guessing I should invest in some other lenses then too! Thank you so much!! I saw a bundle on amazon that came with a lot of stuff but I might just buy those accessories separately, but thank you this helped a lot!

Hello, I think if you want to buy a DSLR camera, then this is a really good one. This camera will be good for almost any type of pictures you want to take..
This camera has a bad reputation, and since hearing this second opinion (and looking at my recent photos) I will keep it. The most user-friendly camera it is not.
I don't have a 320ex, but I have a 380ex and a 420ex and they both work fine. Canon say the T100 will work with any ex flash, and I haven't heard anyone having a problem.
The camera has an internal microphone, but no socket for and external microphone. If you don't want to record with the internal Mic, you need to record on a separate recorder.
You can get very close - however that depends on the lens rather than the camera. if you don't want to spend on a macro lens, you could try either close up filters or extension tubes. bit will fit to the lenses you have and work pretty well..
@@NikonD5200Channel Any idea what that very close is? Literally no info on the web. Like for example, would you say that i am able to focus as close as 3cm from the subject or will i need a macro lens or filters?
@@PATHETIC_DISASTER Again this is entirely down to the lens. The minimum focal distance for the 18-55mm kit lens is 25cm, for example. However if you get some extension tubes ( for about $30) you can get much closer. even 3cm, if you use them together..
This Canon is designed only to work with Canon EX flash guns. You will find that some third party flashes will work with this camera - Godox produce on for example, but it involves downloading firmware and can be a bit tricky. I would recommend looking for a used EX flash from a recommended supplier. That will keep the cost down..
Both are good cameras. The question I think is do you want a very good point and shoot camera or a DSLR camera? The SX540 is a really good little camera that I would be happy to take on holiday or use for street photography. However, the 4000D allows for better lenses, with wider apertures and longer focal lengths. the shutter speed can be faster (1/4000 v 1/2000) and the 4000D will also allow bulb - which means that you can open the shutter for as long as you like. This would be useful for night sky photography, and also for shooting wide landscapes. So I guess my answer is that the SX540 is a great general camera, whereas with the 4000D you can specialise.
I'm considering using this as a "webcam" for live streaming and recording videos. can I turn off battery saver mode so the camera will stay on for hours of streaming? can focus be adjusted to manual during live view mode?
yes and yes. Disable the auto power off in the first setup menu. I suggest you buy a replacement AC Power Adapter kit for Canon EOS 4000D, which will allow you to run the camera from the mains. As for auto focus, just switch the lens to manual. I have used mine and it works very well..
Yes, it could be, though you might want something smaller if you want to shoot unnoticed. I would take a look at some compact cameras. They might suit you better.
For stills it depends on the size of your memory card, so 16, 32, 64 or 128GB. For video it will shoot a video file up to 4GB, which equates to 12 minutes at full HD resolution.
Am considering buying this for myself, I do a mix of landscape. Astro and wildlife. Is this overall a good option for my preferences? Also what is it’s F stop range?
Yes it can do all of those, though it only has 9 focus points, so wildlife won't be so easy ( if you mean birds, you might want a camera with more focus points). The f stop range depends on the lens you use, but most go from f22- f3.5
@@NikonD5200Channel Ah okay, thank you, I also forgot to ask the camera’s zoom range and without a tripod, how shaky would zooming in be (Struggled to find a lot of this information online apologies 😅)
@@soopy6667 Hi Alex, this is a DSLR camera, so it doesn't have a fixed lens. You chose what lens you want to use. So for the kit lens (18-55mm) this is f3.5 - f5.6 (these are the widest apertures, F3.5 at 18mm and F5.6 at 55mm, the narrowest apertures are I think F22 and f32). You can use this lens without a tripod and without camera shake provided you keep the shutter speed over 1/100th sec. If you have a longer lens like the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6, you may need a tripod because of the weight of the lens.
@@NikonD5200Channel Do you have any other suggestions for settings for astrophotograph? I was searching for a shutter cable, but realize now that there is not a socket for it. Just bought this camera, so can't invest in a different model.
yes, it is as good as any other camera in this price range. it offers a fast shutter speed and burst shooting, though only 3 frames per second. There should be no problem getting good pictures of wriggly kids with this camera.
Ok, so how are your trying to transfer your videos? also be aware that the camera does not have a built in speaker, so to listen to the sound, you will need to play it back on a computer or laptop..
@@NikonD5200Channel to transfer I use camera canon connect the app then I just use the wifi setting on the camera.......... So for the audio I won't be able to hear on the video but once I transfer it I'll be able to hear?
@@bridgettekagwe6525 yes, you will hear after you have transfered. I suggest you transfer your videos, just via the memory card. many laptops have a sd card reader, if not a sd/usb cable is cheap. It makes it much easier and quicker.

Hello! I plan to buy one soon, but is it good to use it from my school paper photography? Also, how can you turn it off if it doesn't have a turn-on/off switch?
Hi, yes it would certainly be good enough as a still camera for your school newspaper. If you want use it fro video, the video quality will be plenty good enough too, but you will probably want to record the sound externally - particularly if you are interviewing someone. There is an off option on the mode dial. if you move the dial to anything else (auto, for example), then it is switched on and in auto mode.

You will find that some third party flashes will work with this camera - Godox produce on for example, but it involves downloading firmware and can be a bit tricky. I would recommend looking for a used EX flash from a recommended supplier. That will keep the cost down..
What’s better this or canon sx540
I’m torn between this & the Nikon d3500. Nightmare to choose 🙈😊
Is this camera quiet and great for new born portraits?
Hello, It would be very good for baby portraits, but it is not that quiet. It has quite a loud shutter.
Great review, thank you sir. (P.S. was it my computer or were you out of focus?)
youtube will change the resolution to match your connections speed. so perhaps it was at 480 or 360..
does this camera have bluetooth to be able to upload to my phone
No, but it does have wifi. However you can only use it to upload pictures, not video.
Please how can I use external flash for this
Hello, You can use an external flash with his camera, but it must be a Canon EX Flash gun. It fits to the hotshoe on the top of the camera.
Is this camera good for street photography
Yes, it could be, though you might want something smaller if you want to shoot unnoticed. I would take a look at some compact cameras. They might suit you better.
How many gb does it takev
@@NikonD5200Channel Ah okay, thank you, I also forgot to ask the camera’s zoom range and without a tripod, how shaky would zooming in be
(Struggled to find a lot of this information online apologies 😅)
Full manual mode, like professional do. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I thought he was simon cowell lmao
I wish I had his money...
play at 1.5x times
Is it possible to use a timer with extended exposure photography, for astro photography etc. to curb the stability issue?
Hello,
yes you can set the camera to a 30 second shutter speed and use the timer. However, you can't use the bulb option.
@@NikonD5200Channel Do you have any other suggestions for settings for astrophotograph? I was searching for a shutter cable, but realize now that there is not a socket for it. Just bought this camera, so can't invest in a different model.
@@heatherlilo3437 no, I don't think so. How long a shutter are you thinking of?
@@NikonD5200Channel put the iso to 3200
Do you believe this is a good camera to take pictures of kids even those who tend to wiggle alot (2 yr old)
yes, it is as good as any other camera in this price range. it offers a fast shutter speed and burst shooting, though only 3 frames per second. There should be no problem getting good pictures of wriggly kids with this camera.
Thoughts on using for for photos in the hockey rink. Moving players?
It good gor videos?
yes you can shoot good quality video with it, but it doesn't have autofocus whilst shooting video, which means you need to re focus manually.
My camera isn't exporting videos plus it's also not recording audio someone please help...…..I'm going to rip off my hair
@@NikonD5200Channel So I start transferring using a USB cable?
@@NikonD5200Channel Oh my gosh thank you so so much your the best. I don't know what I would have done without your help probably wasted so much money trying to fix it. You're really helpful and prevented me from ripping my hair out😂😂😂😂😂

IPHONE 12 GOOD
