Keep up the great work! Keep thinking and testing new things! And start a way we can donate to you to help fund your next projects. Never give up and keep pushing the limits
watched your old videos and aren’t you the smartest kid ever??? i’m a grown up and i feel like i have SO much to learn. old enough to be your mother and you’re inspiring me 😊 keep up with the good work!!!!
Appreciate your honesty with all the times you should have been filming but weren't! I think you know what the answer is: film everything and pick and choose later what goes in final video! If you can discipline yourself to do this, you'll go a long way.
Thanks so much! The super stable plasma toroid, with the wide air gap coil, gave me a eureka moment. Now I have a much better understanding of how these work.
Finally a video that takes me back to when the You in TH-cam. Also congratulations on winning the physics prize! I hope the prize money was enough to offset the expenses or at least off set it somewhat
Hey there! Subbed for my daughter, she loves these projects! On your channel, keep up the good work! Here are some quick tips: You've got this! Focus on the fun and why you started. Failing is okay, it's part of the learning process! Make videos you enjoy, the right audience will find you. Haters gonna hate, focus on the positive comments that keep you going. Take breaks if it gets overwhelming, TH-cam should be enjoyable! Its tempting to you other videos as a benchmark for the value of your projects, remember that making those epic videos takes a lot of time and experience and many of the other channels are people's careers and full time job. P.S. You might like these channels too (for inspiration): TechIngredients, This Old Tony, GreatScott!, Adam Savage's Tested. Good luck on your TH-cam adventures!
Super impressive results, Go Girl (gender neutral encouragment) . such a stable ring. I also have a Nice-power PSU, its great. Science needs explorers like this. Best wishes.
this is absolutely beautiful, and I feel like I've been transported back to 2010 with the video style. I absolutely love cool physics projects like this and am super hyped to see more from you!!
FINALLY!!.....your video provided me with the information i've been searching for for such a loooooong time,,,knowing that there are arcs produced on the primary coil confirms it is high voltage, not the normal kind tho, buuuuuut also means i can do away with the self oscilator circuit and just use an augmented high voltage ac....by itself i suspect the ac alone wont work though cz the impulse from the capacitative discharge is necessary to create the toroid,,,but as the toroid in this nature is not what im going for,all i needed to know was driver coil conditions and that little shock you got told me everything i need to know so I can do without it,and progress with the circuit augmentations,,,,anyway thank you very much for your efforts, youve helped shine light on something i was stuck on for abit.
I adore you and your Electroboom shirt AND your cool dang toroidal plasma generator. I might have to make one now... Subbed, have a good day, cya next time! ;)
This is such a wonderful video :] I love the progress along the way even with missing certain things you still put in that you missed them. I find that fantastic showing testing, failures and success as well. Great work!!! :]
I just randomly stumbled uppon this video :3 good work! I thought about trying it out with a plasma globe some time but if the pressure isn’t right… i might try with a mason jar under vacuum though. Just need to find the motivation to throw together the circuit. Thank you for the video! The toroids look awesome
Nice! That reminds me a lot of me and my Tesla Coil days when I was 14. I've killed more than a few NE555 of my ignition coil high voltage generator, magically uninstalled printer drivers and killed the printer at the same occasion. TH-cam wasn't a thing back then...
Very cool seeing another person do this. until now i think only a few people have successfully made a plasma toroid and posted it on TH-cam, The science behind it i believe was only recently re discovered and put out their for free, it's cool to see these machines being made and used. The glass orb like thing filled with whatever gas it's filled with is the most expensive part from what i remember from watching another Video as in the orb is usually obtainable for Hundreds of Dollars in USD. I'm not sure why The Orb costs so much tho. Perhaps it's mostly to do with the cost of the Gas itself.
The gapped (outside) coil works better than the contact coil (inside) likely because the gap greatly reduces capacitive coupling between the coil and glass. It is also much easier to maintain even capacitive coupling all around to minimize distortion with a consistent insulation gap than wire-to-glass contact.
That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the feedback. I do think another big factor could just be that the circuit is more stable in the 3 turn configuration and the plasma toroid is having less of an effect on the waveform, and distortions of the magnetic field aren't amplified as much leading to more stable plasma. That's all theory though. 😁
@@kiblybuiltit3304 The circuit certainly needs tweaking as other people who have done toroids seem to be running under 20W. Something is definitely not optimal there. First thing I'd do is swap out the thick solid wire on the primary for multi-strand to reduce skin effect losses.

And btw, TH-cam algorithm just picked up this video, so good luck!
*_"New videos every whenever I want."_*
Can't argue with that scheduling. Just so long as it's a day ending in Y.
why do I get the feeling one day this channel will be right up there along with ElectroBoom, EEV blog and the likes??
Ikr
No. It has been done by others. This is just copy cat.
I agree, I'm immediately getting BIG styropyro energy, ngl!
Yesss, old school TH-cam style videos are back!
By far the coolest thing I've seen in the past month!
Thank you, (and the TH-cam algorithm) for showing me this hidden gem of a youtube channel.
Amazing project!
Gandalf would be proud. Very well done. Excellent result, good content and humorous delivery.
Nice real old school YT vibes from this video, just people showing off the cool shit they make, lovely!
Офигенно. Надо научиться управлять этой плазмой с помощью магнитного поля😃
5:50 "and it only draws 130 watts!" that took me off guard :D
Good Job!
Got randomly suggested on this on the algorithm. Keep up the great work.

That plasma ball effect you had around 4:58 was pretty awesome.
I love your channel

Keep up the great work Kibly !
Wow, that's hella cool! Thanks for showing this. :)
your editing & commentary styles are super funny :) this vid (and the whole project in general) are awesome, i’m happy youtube recommended it
I was one of your first 1000 subscribers, remember me when you’re famous
You have a bright future!
Woo! Nice work!
Insulating the bulb from the coil seems like an improvement that all of the bigger channels have overlooked.
the video is _shockingly_ good
mmmm, donuts
Great job, looks cool enough I am going to try to get the kids to make it

Awesome job and great video, keep it up
That's it, the spark of excitement! You've got a long and prosperous science career ahead of you! And a new subscriber 🖖😉
Great work Kiddo!! It’s great minds like yours that built our world of technology and advancement. Keep up the work.
Reminds me of the contraption attached to the rabbit in 'Wallace & Gromit Curse of the Were Rabbit" in the bunny brain washing scene.
i hope one day this can become a refined product to sell! who wouldnt want a floating "living" halo as their night light? this is sick :D

it's nice to see that a girl is interested in electronics
I'm not entirely sure that's the case

Wow, good job!
Yooooooo, nice toroid!👍 I've been wanting to build one of these for a while

Love the energy! Great project, great humor ;)
Super cool, thanks for the video.
cool stuff
Great work!
this is awesome. if you don't have an Etsy store, you need one. id happily buy one from you
If I had it in my power, I'd arrange for every soul to have a plasma toroid to behold the beauty of.
This project has been the bane of my existence...
Well done!
Nice work! Keep going.
Hey! this is great, what a neat process and result! Keep it up! love this work!
very good..

Can't wait to see what you make next.
this should be the standard lighting device as its able to simulate the light of the sun perfectly just need to shield the coil
This is such a wonderful video :] I love the progress along the way even with missing certain things you still put in that you missed them. I find that fantastic showing testing, failures and success as well. Great work!!! :]
Damn girl you amazing
Awesome video, TH-cam definitely onto something with recommending this.
Totally agree, is epic!
Ion dynamics, you're going places!
That is so cool. I wanted to make on e myself, but I wasn't sure how to start. Thanks!
This is amazing
great job! first one of your videos i see and damn thats cool

you just earned yourself a sub, cant wait to see more
Love your videos :)
You really should keep up the truly great work! You really understand electronics so well!! I hope you get more fans soon. I’ll sub!
Very cool build. New sub ✌️
that's pretty insane, keep it up
I really like the concept of plasma toroid and when I saw ur video i really liked it . Congratulations you earned a subscriber 🎉.
How old are you bro?! You look and sound like you are maybe in middle school, yet so pro in electronics and i love it!
Nice❤
