Man if ide new walleye in niss river ide went to miss at la border to ask if any around there. Been over 15 years since I was in miss catching them. I miss that taste thanks foe vidoe new fan. God bless.
Thank you! The best place to get the slot limit information is in the state fishing regulations. That said I think Pools 4-8 are 4 fish limit, minimum of 15", and only one can be over 20". But don't believe anything people tell you on social media, double check for yourself 🙂.
What rod size/power/action do you recommend for those river rig configurations with 1 or 3/4 oz sinkers? Did you go with heavier braided line too? Thanks for creating these willow cat videos. Very informative! Love it!❤
I'm Corbin's uncle. Many thanks to you for that birthday wish.

The Mississippi River is a pretty good walleye fishery!
Another great video could you tell me what the slot limits are for walleye I'm planning on going to pool #8 in a couple of weeks

Great video! Do you ever try leeches in thr current? Also, what are the yellow river jigs you use? Thanks!
I don’t use leeches. No real reason other than the fact that nightcrawlers work so well. I’m not sure what jighead Eric was using in this video.

I use a 7’2” MLXF Radcliffe Rod with 8 lb monofilament line. No reason you couldn’t use braid as well.
New sub! Liked
Thank you!
The Mississippi is a big river, so, where are you fishing?
Another great video.
What size circle hook do you recommend when fishing for walleye’s?
I was using a size 2 gamakatsu octopus hook.
That fish you had in the beginning looks like an Asian Carp
Great video. Sometimes they love chewing meat. You running a clear leader or Hi Viz
I use a hi vis leader. Same as my main line.
I didn’t think you could legally catch and use your own willow cats?
You can in Minnesota but there are a number of regulations you must follow.
I've never seen the need to use willow cats for walleyes. Super expensive first of all and second, night crawler works just as good or even better.
The guys I’ve talked to claim they catch bigger fish and the tournament guys swear by them but you’re right nightcrawlers work really well.
Called a bait shop to see if they had willowcat and he informed me that it's illegal to sell them
Bait shops in Wisconsin along the Mississippi River sell them.
