Please post more Spitfire videos. They're very helpful.

Knowing it's been 2 years since this video and you've made a ton of changes... The bushings, tie rod ends, brakes etc are all fairly easy to change and result in big performance improvements. My Midget 1500 I just cleaned out and put new oil in the rear Armstrong lever arm shocks, and it radically improved the ride. Doing fronts over the winter, and expect a similar boost in cruising comfort. Back brakes, same thing, much better stopping power. Each little bit you do makes the car that much better, and it's a measurable boost with each change. (now that Miata engine... that's a measurable boost too, lol)

Nice little car. Were the front lower trunnions ok? With the upper balljoint being so bad, I'd be surprised if the trunnions don't need new bushings...

I'm in the process of purchasing a '72 Spitfire MK3, so I'm sure your videos are going to be replayed many times in my garage! Thanks for doing them. Is there an online source for Spit parts that you prefer?

Awesome to hear! Moss motor, or British parts northwest.

Nice video. Do a little research on how to fold a Spitfire's top.

Thank you! Yeah a few people have mentioned that. I outta figure it out!

@@misplacedgarageI'm sure you can find a good video, but generally: (1) un-snap all 8 and let if all fold out over the trunk-lid. (2) fold it all back over the seat-backs. (3) fold the quarter-windows inward fully, don't bend. (4) tuck it all down behind the seats. If you've got a zip-out rear window, I'd always un-zip and put it down first to avoid bending it as much as possible. Taking care of those 3 windows will make the top last for many more years.

@@misplacedgarage just some cheep ones from BPNW on Rimmer bros can't remember but shocks do matter , i replaced everything that wears out bushings, ball joints, trunions , rack& pinion, tie rods, kinda left nothing to chance

I’ve done quite a bit of typical stuff that wear out. But still deciding on suspension until I decide what powertrain I’m gonna go with

That’s awesome! Unfortunately these ones are bent and leak air. Someone used them as curb finders

Nice car. But OMG, flip flops and a claw hammer? I hope you aren’t driving with those flip flops!
