Oy mate. Well bloody done. I am an NWFA certified Advanced Installer. I've got the paper work to prove it. I'm also a soccer coach so explaining simple concepts can be difficult at times. I think you did a great job mate. I have installed borders, medallions, mixed media, you name it, etc. You just taught a 20 some year flooring veteran how to do a lvp board replacement. Mad props to you. I've usually just dealt with real hardwood but have had a need to deal with lvp in the last 2 years. Your video was clear and precise. Thank you very much for this. I was literally about to start taking apart an entire room when I came across this video (and part 1). I haven’t been able to get the original installers out. You saved me a ton of time and it worked perfectly. I wish I could throw some work your way but I’m in Alaska. Thanks again.
Amazing amazing video, take all my likes and subscription, well deserved. For many reasons we wanted LVP and a contractor was trying to talk me out of it because "if even one board is damaged you have to rip everything up leading up to the board". I know there was a way and he was being a salesman. The industry is too huge for there not to be ways to repair after install. THANK YOU SIR!!
Thank you for this video, I have been doing my own home repairs lately and to know you can do this with a blade is a relief since I'm not comfortable using power tools!! Awesome!!
Oustanding instructional video, with absolutely the best directions and information. What brought me here was that I'm planning on closing in a wide passageway with quad barn doors, and it will require drilling into the LVP of my new home for the guides. Just in case the barn doors are removed in the future, and the opening restored to its original state, I just wanted to know if the drilled planks could be replaced individually. I wasn't sure if that was possible, or if the planks were going to need to be removed from the the damage plant all the way to the wall. Great to know that it is possible to just remove a single, damage plank, and replace it.
Thanks bro, you explain things very well, you save me in a jam I have to replace a board that I made in overcut, now I get to keep the customers happy thanks a lot but

Thanks so much for the very detailed and informative demonstration. I just replaced two damaged planks and it went very well thanks to you! Great video, like others I was just about to tear up my kitchen floor to get to the piece that needs repair. I just put it down a month ago. There seems to be a hollow area under thos one area and caused the locking system to break. I am assuming i am going to have to fill that in with some leveling material, any thoughts on that?

There's only a handful of areas where I see moisture coming up through the seams but I think I have to replace them because the dehumidifier and fan have been running for some days now and I still see a little moisture coming up.
If I have 3 boards already installed on my floor that are all snapped to eachother and I want to replace those 3 can that be done without taking all the rest of the flooring out since they are in the middle of my kitchen.
Question, what do you do if one of the planks with the glue becomes damaged? Do you end up removing all the boards with glue or is there something else you can do? Thanks!
You would probably be best removing al of the boards that have adhesive on the , Because if you ever have to take it apart in that same spot again it will actually break the board where it is glued, the stuff holds up really well
As far as replacing about 3 or 4 boards in the same area, would you do each board one at a time? As in, glue in one board, wait for full drying and then replace next board? Or can you do all 3-4 at the same time?
Great video and great info. I would only suggest using a lavalier mic to pick up the voice, and then merge that in during post production. Much appreciated!
Oh no, sir you do not glue it to the floor. You only glue it to the adjoining plant. If there is nothing to hold it to those next planks, like just a tight fit, then it will work its way up and get damaged by traffic.
