    I installed over 1300 sq feet of continuous (no transitions) lvp drop and lock throughout my entire first floor with your videos on youtube. Since I couldn't tear up the whole house I did one room at a time over a year's time. I used the technique in this video to interleave the boards with adjoining rooms when necessary. The result was beautiful. Your videos were the difference maker. Thank you! OH! fellow youtubers....don't forget to put protective feet or felt pads on all of your furniture.

    I am from Waverly, Tennessee the place of the horrible flooding that happened August 21, 2021. My home flooded and we lost everything. We had help gutting the house and some money from FEMA but not enough to pay contractors. I am a single widowed mom and was facing a mountain. I taught myself how to hang sheetrock, tape, mud etc... eventually volunteers come to help, some skilled but mostly not. All with good intentions though. I had watched every video on flooring you have, ordered tools from the links, and was ready. The volunteers come in and trying laying floors without ever popping a line to maintain strait lines. I wanted my floors to flow all through the house so i took it apart and started it back strait. Its been a year since the flood and we are finally finishing up and thanks to you and your videos and know how, and the prayers, i have beautiful floors and we are fixing to be back home. Thank you sooo much! If you get any extra time and want to visit somewhere beautiful, Waverly could sure use uour help. We have hundreds of folks either homeless or living in rvs still. Thanks so much.

    I wanted to say Thank You! Your video this video was instrumental in my repair of one board that was scorched by a heat lamp. The cutting with skilsaw is so cool and i used my Fein Multitool to do all the final cuts for removing and the new plank. Thanks again the task took me 30 minutes start to finish you rock!

    Hello! This is so helpful. I do have a question about it cracking on the seams. We installed flooring from Home Depot and it’s been cracking at the seams so we will have to replace 2-3 staggered panels…so it’s a bit confusing on how to repair this in the best way. Thanks in advance for any tips!

    Thanks for this video. I had a friend helping me with my install, and he laid a plank that had something stuck to the underlayment. This created a high spot/pressure point which led to that plank being punctured a bit. We think this plank will be hidden below the bed and never get worse, but it’s good to see that it could be addressed if we’d like to. However, I have not had luck with getting a piece to slide horizontally once it is locked/laid flat. This makes me really hesitant to even try. Any tips for this situation?

    Hi Joe! I did this over weekend, on one plank, I made a mistake, didn’t cut the tongue off at a perfect angle, so when I laid it down? It left a fingernail gap. It’s super glued down? For mean time? I think I will fill in the gap with some kind of wax, or matching crayon color? What do you think?

  • @3rdGenFireChicken
    @3rdGenFireChicken ปีที่แล้ว

    When that lip snaps off and gets stuck under there a lot of times with a breed plank you won’t be able to get that out from under there. That’s a cheap plank you can tell from the other side where you saw where the lip kinda broke and you got that fine line.

    NEVER try to cut backwards with a circular saw. Vinyl planks are soft enough to get away with but if he caught the sub floor that saw could have gone flying.
