Excellent video! Is it possible to run the thermostat and power supply cables through the return air duct into the trailer/vehicle? I'm hoping to mount the 2211 outside on a toolbox or a table, but I'm worried about the cables being exposed to the elements. I will be running the ducts into the trailer via port holes that I will drill into the side of the trailer, BTW.

I wouldn't recommend routing the cables within the air ducts due to the excessive heat and you would need to cut holes for the cable to enter/exit. Cables are very robust and can withstand temperature, the main concern with external wiring is routing them to ensure they're supported and protected. I would recommend installing them in a flexible conduit.
      Hope that's helpful 👍.

Curious how this is holding up aftera year of use. I like the features of the propex heater, and mounting it underneath would give me a lot more space. Im just worried about the heater getting exposed to the elements under my van, i travel a lot on dirt roads, mountains, and beaches.

Hey buddy, we don't have the T5 campervan anymore, we sold it a few years ago, so can't comment on how it is holding up now. However, we used the van for 2 years with it installed and it worked without issues. If anything it was too powerful for the small space in the T5. If the gas ran out it would need resetting but this wasn't an issue.
Like you, we travel 'off the beaten track' so the heater was exposed to the elements and was fine.
Installing it underneath the van saved us so much space inside. If you do install it underneath i would highly recommend fitting it as high as possible under the sub frame to protect it from damage.
      Good luck!

I have a few questions about the HS2211.
Does it matter which side is up or down when operating? Can a flexible rubber propane line be used instead of copper line? What type of rubber line is best? Can a Bluetti power pack be used to power this heater? Thanks

Hi David, the Propex HS2211 installation manual states, 'The heater may be installed laying on any of its wide or narrow sides, but not nose down or up. A link to the heater instructions is in the video description; see pages 6-7 for guidance on installation.
The gas supply line must comply with relevant regulations (Campervan regulations guidance can be found here - vandercampadventures.com/campervan-gas-regulations-2022); I'm afraid we can't advise on what type of rubber line is best.
The heater requires a 12-volt supply and uses 2.2Amps/26.4 Watts when on full power, so it will use a maximum of 2.2Amps/26.4Watts of battery per hour.
We hope this information is helpful,
