We normally travel on Carnival but thinking of trying Princess….what time do the pools close. I keep hearing that people watch sunset from pools or movies?
Yes! The pool stays open for a while at night. We went swimming in the back pool a couple of times and watched the sunset. It was heated to stay warm. 🙂 Good luck and have fun!
We felt that way too. You learn the ship fast though. Decks 5, 6, and 7 are your main decks for bars, shops, and restaurants. 8 through 15 are rooms. 16 and up are pools, gym, and buffet. The ship looks huge but the walkable part, once you are on it makes it feel kind of short. Don't be overwhelmed by this ship. There are only like 7 decks you need to remember. You will be a pro within a day or two. We started on Deck 5 when we got there and did a full lap around each deck, skipping the sleeping area just so we knew everything. We saw a musical, a magician, and comedian. There was more to see, too. They change what is going on every year, though. The musical was good! The magician was good. The comedian was funny!

The back requires a lot more walking because certain areas don't connect because of the kitchens. Our favorite place on the ship was the pool in the back of the ship. At night, nobody was there, and the pool was heated. Great place to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset! Have a wonderful trip!

You should definitely go on a cruise one day. They are so fun. You can find discounts all the time. An Alaskan cruise might be more your style. There are lots of birds to see. 🙂
You are very welcome! We do this to help others plan their trips. We started from the internet cafe and made our way to the top. The ship is huge! Our favorite part was the Wake pool and Bar in the aft of the ship. Beautiful place to swim and watch the sun go down. Have a great trip!
We did not want to enter the kids' area, but from what we did see, the camp is really cute! They have games and activites all day for them. There is also mini golf and basketball on Deck 17 and 18. There are 3 pools they can enter too. There is a scavenger hunt on the screens by the elevators that our kids enjoyed. The internet cafe is right next to one of the doors into the ship. We went down the ship and back up on each floor, so watching this video will help you know the whole ship quickly. Make sure you have your reservations before setting sail. Have a great time! It is a beautiful ship!

And the three-foot end of the pool on the adult side is for people like me who just want to splash their legs around in the water a little while sipping a margarita 😂! Great job!!

There was a woman reading a book while standing in the pool, lol. It was actually a quiet pool, which I enjoyed. We had so much fun!
