Wonderful video! It's great to have your honest opinion about the restaurants. Too early to get excited but our cancelled Baltic cruise on the Regal this year means we're rebooked on the same itinerary in 2022 on the Sky Princess.
We try and be as honest as we can without being rude Angela. Sometimes it's a fine balance... :)
Spending 21 days on Sky soon and this was exceptional and has gotten me so excited to eat! Im just going to have to bring my pant extenders! :)

Superb upload, they appear to be getting better each time. Beautiful ship!. Love the opening (drone?) footage in the atrium, very well captured and edited. Yes, I'm a drone geek. Laughed at the content taken at Swirls, the lass looked a tad surprised then followed up with a lovely smile and wave. Moving performance by the Karaoke singer, my tummy feels much better. Great nosh too, even though I'm a hippy plant eater 😂🌱☘🍀. Look forward to your next 👍

Like everyone else brilliant and funny. Thought the chefs dining was fab one problem neither of us eat any kind of fish, so it would be a waste of money unless chef would look after us in 6 weeks as we pare for 52 ears married..looking forward to your 🍷🍷🥃🥃drinks tour

Yes I'm hungry again! :-) But a couple of comments:
1. You don't mention Club Class Dining. It really is a slightly different experience from the main dining rooms even though it's in one of them. The extra dishes available are usually fun, and the service staff seems to be selected from the best of the serving staff. Open breakfast, lunch and supper for those in suites and Club Class Mini-suites.
2. In addition to Club Class, those is suites have a breakfast option in one of the premium venues. On Royal it was Sabitinis, and on Emerald it was in Crown Grill. A slightly different menu and oh boy is it quiet in there
3. I assume that the Chef's Table is still not available to book until you actually manage to get on board and make a call to the food service line. We've tried to book it on nearly every Princess cruise we've taken and have yet to succeed. We'll keep trying.

You touched that plate and then put it back. Not very sanitary of you.
I had washed my hands, sanitised them, then used the plate afterwards to stuff my face with cookies and cake. Unfortunately, that didn’t make the edit. 👌😀
Some people are career complainers. They are not happy if they have nothing to complain about. If you want the water parks and rock walls, go Carnival. If you want less families and kids, more music go princess or Holland America. There is not one cruise line out there that can give everybody everything they want. There will always be people who will complain about how boring their vacation was. But yet will not take the time to research the ship that they want to go on. Vacation should be about discovery. Try new things. I really pity the people who are never happy.

yes, Alfredo’s is the best at sea, if not, anywhere. Is the charge at Salty Dog only for the Earnest burger, or for anything please? I really don’t see paying extra for just a burger.

It’s an expensive mistake to make if you don’t like set menus and the food they serve up, so glad we were able to highlight that for you. There are plenty of other lovely dining options on Sky Princess to enjoy 😋

How do you know which dining room to go to in the evening? There are usually at least three of the more formal dining rooms. Do you choose yourself or is it somehow chosen for you?
If we’re not at a pre-booked extra cost specialty restaurant we usually book at table at one if the restaurants on the medallion app which will show you which ones are available at what time. This can be done however far in advance you want to do it - though we usually only get round to doing it while we’re having a pre-dinner drink in one of the bars 😁

I really enjoy your presentations. They are an enormous help to me in deciding which ship/line I would like to spend my money on. Kevin Rietveld Good spot there! Rest assured, l sanitised and washed my hands before entering, then proceeded to use that very plate for the purposes of stuffing my face with cookies and chocolate cake. THAT didn’t make the edit unfortunately.

Great video as ever. One thing I will say, I have found the Crown Grills on Princess to be, well, bad, on the Sea it was just about passable, but the rest not so much, however, on the Regal and Royal it was fantastic, yes it is very old school, yes the dishes are heavy, but that is the way I like it. On the aforementioned ships we didn't notice the bar area being a problem, however it seems Princess has taken it to another level on the Sky. One quick thought that I am guessing you will get to at some point, Cunard really needs to look at the cabin set up on the Regal/Royal/Sky and steal it, especially the tech side....Again, great video, look forward to the next one.

@@visitwithus Absolutely, on the Sea Princess it was part of the Horizon, on the Caribbean it was a steakhouse/BBQ place, very strange, on the Royal/Regal/Sky it looks far more upscale, it actually reminds me of the steakhouse on the Zeiderdam.

How do you get an invite to the Chef’s table?
You have to ask if there is availability as soon as you board and if you’re lucky you’ll get the chance to go. It’s not cheap but a wonderful evening if you want a treat 👍

Honestly, I haven't even watched the video yet and I'm overwhelmed. I will return with another comment after I've watched . Background I booked this cruise for my 40th Bday and have been looking for anything regarding dining NO ONE has featured dining. I keep looking at the same lobby vids from everyone. Fantastic video as always; I'm usually just a silent appreciater. :) A question about the Chef's Table Luimere - if anyone partaking of it had allergies (e.g. to the hazlenuts in the dessert dishes) would the head chef have taken that into consideration when preparing the dishes for the evening - assuming, of course, that there was a way to let him know beforehand - or would that person just have had to miss out on that particular dish?

I have always found the Captain's Luncheon to be the best meal of the cruise.
And it's FREE. (You just have to be one of the top 20 cruisers)

Hi Aubrey and thanks for watching and commenting. I think you're going to love Sky Princess. As for the Sanctuary? It's USD40pp for a whole day or USD20pp per half day. If booking half a day we'd recommend the afternoon as then you can enjoy afternoon teas served to your loungers. Yuo can also book the Sanctuary for the whole voyage when you embark and sometimes they'll have an early bird deal, so check that out. Cabanas can be booked at a daily rate too although I can't remember the prices (I think USD140 if I remember correctly). Whatever you decide, we love the Sanctuary and think it's well worth the cost, especially if the ship is sailing full. Enjoy! :D

Gelato is different to ice cream, as you said, it is also not served so cold and icy as ice cream. Much nicer. Funny how it has less cream than ice cream but actually tastes creamier.
Both are a huge weakness, but you’re right, gelato is heavenly! 🤤
You were doing really good on the video until you took "other cruise lines" into the conversation. I thought this was a Princess Cruises presentation, not AOCL (any other cruise line) presentation. When speaking about a particular cruise line, stick to speaking about THAT cruise line, and not others you may have been on.
Well, sometimes comparison is needed to put something into context, so it's not unusual to bring in AOCL into the conversation. Thanks for watching. :)

I took a cruise on the Caribbean Princess in November of 2015 the food was great then it looks even better now...sadly princess no longer sails out of Houston the port closed

How did you book the Chef table Lumiere. Did you wait till you got on board and what days is this experience available?
We booked the Chefs Table while on board if I remember. You'll have to check on board as to the availability, especially with that pesky covid hanging around - they might not be offering the full 'kitchen' experience. :)
You really should narrate audio books... your voice is very soothing . And I like the fact that you dont put your face in every shot like some other ego driven cruise sites! Nice job keep it up!

I have been on 19 Princess cruises and have never been offered plastic cutlery in any venue. Otherwise, wonderful video!

I was disappointed that no main dish was shown in general dining sections. I am a health nut so no desert for me. I wouldn't go to Italian or French even if they were free.

Just got back from 2 Sky Princess cruises and so wish I'd seen this video before we went - especially after our first one in June. I've learnt even more about the dining experience - you tend to stick with what you know and are happy with. I would love to try the Chef's Table now I've seen what it's like. Excellent video - loved the humour and the photography is fabulous - much better than the shots i took!
If somone could explain the Club Class dining that would be fabulous - have a Suite next year and did not know about this.
