Removing and disassembling the rat turd infested quadrajet on project square body Chevy

I remove, disassemble, clean, and start to fix the quadrajet. It’s completely covered with rat piss and poop. It’s even inside the carb!

Lets create a list of Other positives. 1. That QuadraJet is basically the best carb ever used on a 350. A. The hot air choke, B. leaking lead plugs, C. under or over centre secondary flaps, D. lack of return line, E. leaking teflon bushes on the intake manifold, and F. the actual hanger, G. metering rod and H. main jets for expected net hp level..theres always about eight things to check after youve gotten that thing appart. In CA, the mixtures are supposed to be in the factory set position and the OEM 350 donar emission system is supposed to be present. Its like the whole thing us set against you. You are right about all that. I'm just doing a quick and dirty cleaning of the carbie to make it run better. Most of the original emissions system is DOA. This carb is a rough one no doubt, but they are tough to kill. Get them clean enough and they will run ok. Thanks for encouraging comments. I think I have a few viewers from Richard's channel. He's been working hard and pumping out his vids and content.
